  1. :icon_jook Now I'm really interested.... did it mention time frame? :) :) :) :) :) :) Now I'm happy again... :) :) :) :) :) :) It's great to be bi-polar!
  2. Acronis works good also... different strokes for different folks...
  3. As long as everything is identical (even changing out to a different drive) will work just fine. Imaging is a byte by byte, sector by sector HD copying utility. I use drive image 2002 (DI 7 blows because you must have the CD, if your going to backup your images to a network resource, plus there is a 57meg "patch"). Ghost is also great.... If it's on the HD when you Image it, it will be there when you restore the image. I use it all the time. You cannot take the image and put it on another machine. The XP/NT HAL layer would be different and XP/NT would crash and not boot. I have 3 images of the same machine 1. Clean XPsp1 - authenticated with MS 2. Clean XPsp2 - authenticated with MS and has all the windows updates installed (no vid card drivers) 3. XPsp2 - authenticated, Updated, Office, Lotus, PSP8.0, all drivers. It appears, to get around this stupid activation all the time, I would have to create a XP install with FC on it (what a waste!!!). The bitch would be if your FC got corrupted then a restore would be necessary (it overwrites your HD, so you have to backup your "things you gotta keep" first) The advantage, StarForce software on your machine will still think it's day 1, when your restore your image. It's a great tool for quick system restores.... It gets rid of the annoying, re-registering with M$ crap. (which I suspect will also work with SF)
  4. No F-15 fixes ...? :icon_frow :icon_cry: :icon_cry: :icon_cry:
  5. Quickmention at Toms Hardware... http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050407_172748.html http://www.ati.com/
  6. That great to hear it's now working for you.... I'm still on the fence.... and it's all depends on you bold folks and your interactions wiht starfarce.
  7. I asked this question directly along with many others... It shouldn't take up a activation count. Just a requirement to connect and verify your activation after reinstall.
  8. Guy's Read ruggbutt's post. He's doing it right. As stated HERE on this board, the install creates a unique ID that is generated from your hardware resources. This number is unique - period. This number is supposed to be sent to StarFarce and stored there. This is were the comparison takes place when you reinstall. Apparently this part isn't happening. It's either, the 27page thread about this issue and the facts as stated were not the facts at all, or... it's just a glitch and it will be corrected. I think it's a glitch. RuggButt. If you installing to C:, image your drive. This way your won't go down in count when your restore you image.
  9. I just turn off / on the radar (it does it in the f15 from time to time as well)
  10. this is one thread that should be hijacked to something else OT quick......
  11. this is dumb and pointless....
  12. man ... are you jones'in or what? (jones'in = old slang for drug withdrawals for those who don't know)...
  13. Th P51 cannot go 700kts. It would literally fall apart
  14. VVanks, That's not true... only (unfortunately) the Su-25 will have it. Just reread it after the sleep is out of my eyes... wwanks was just pulling legs...
  15. This is setup specific. Mine is basically one big circle with points sticking out at N,W,S, E. (8dots total) Very True.... Yes, and Yes.
  16. I am so sorry I started this....
  17. Non-LockON for sure, but figured the AirBuffs here would like to know... http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?storyID=123010154
  18. There is also reference to how much light to deal with...(edit the profile for combat flight..). I was getting some jumping and the cause was the light above and behind me at my wife's desk. mine similar to this: ...o ...o oo0oo ...o ...o The vertical is closer to each other than reflected above (ignore the ".")
  19. Allochtoon, is just expressing the need for road side safety and to put a reflective hat on while Pilgrim is going to the Postal box ... Don't wan't the man to get run over now before he can aleast try out the TrackIR now do we?
  20. Subjeect say it all... ajny one?
  21. SK. Good day! For 1. I wasn't just implying russian market in this question. For 2. No argument from me on this ... For 3. I'm not complaining, just it would seem to me that a higher return of $$ would lead a dev/company to better cater to that market segment. 4. Really? Wow! 5. Agree, but I tried not make this a US<>Russian tech fight.. Knowing #4, I can now understand. I can alway count on you (and others) to make me rethink... (god. I really enjoy a good conversation)
  22. followup..... Each person, per economic zone, can afford things ONLY in proportion to their income. And the marketplace is adjusted accordingly. Also percieved value per item/product in each area also takes play here...and let's not forget (wish we could) taxation in all it's forms. "Most" of those who kowtow to the piracy cause higher prices, just isn't thinking things thru, or are nothing more than Marketers "selling" their wares capitalizing on fear or ignorace of the consumer. Insurance companies (to some success) are saying exactly the same thing in the US. But you and I know, if no one, anywhere, ever commits insurance fraud.. the premiums will still rise...
  23. D-link isn't advocating it.. He's just point out the difference from Shep post...
  24. which was the point of my original question....because of the higher return from that economic zone
  25. Thanks to Shepski and Trident for your responses. I have considered most of what you both suggested, but as Trident suggested the UBI situation, which I thought about, but didn't give it enough weight. I have other thoughts and points, but a open forum this is not the place for them... Thanks to you both for your replies... Brett
