I made it to page 85 then promptly got board. Besides this is an early beta by the time it's at release candidate stage it could be totaly different. Don't want any learned habits just yet. I'll RTFM when it's final

My PC is hooked up to my 42' HDTV via the DVI, low res, big screen.

Well I just spent $43USD on the IRIS A-10A for FSX. So who's arguing that DCS WH is overpriced anyway? Now the TM WH at 499.99, I can't afford it so I say it's overpriced:mad:

I don't know you guys, I'm getting pretty decent FPS. accept in the "Nelis static template" mission looking at all those static models brings me down to the lower teens, which is understandable. Every where else is good with all settings maxed, res 1360x768 no driver enhancments except anisotropic filtering x16. guess I have a capable enough PC though. I love the HDR effect, can't wait for that in BS.

I've been reading the manual I'm on pg85, and practicing the start up I've pretty much got it down now. Next will be the nav mission. I'm trying to be methodical, but it's so hard, I wanna shoot stuff:cry:

That's fine with me, totally worth it. But How much content in DCS BS and DCS WH is common to both? What I mean is a 4+Gb download could have been shaved down to say a 1.5Gb download. I'm sure it's possible, not sure if it's likely.

$60 is fair, in fact $70 might have been fair. What I don't like however is paying for the same thing twice. I have DCS BS, and every thing that entails. But now I gotta pay for some of the same content again? That blows, and it's taking up valuable space on my HDD. All current and future DCS modules should share base content ie textures and what not. Is that not possible?

It makes no sense to hold out for the hard copy, when the digital download is exact same thing. Unless your still using dial up. I use steam, H8 D2D because unlike steam, D2D has limited activations, it sucks so bad.

It really is a magnificent machine.

I think they're profiles, for some kind of proprietary software, right? I guess this would beat using the old keyboard and mouse.

SFM in DCS again? Blasphemy!! The idere is for 'one' Aircraft to be modeled in a ridiculously complex, yet satisfying detail. You learn it, you employ it, and enjoy it, that's it. We already see how this integration concept is working out with FC2 and BS, its not. Lets leave the vaunted SFM to rest. we don't need cool aid in our coffee.

Will this mod allow Super sample Anti aliasing without the FPS stutter? I got rid of my ATI cards because of that. GTX480+FSX=WIN:music_whistling:

There are most definitely laptops with the capability to run DCS but apparently this guy's is not one of them. So in greater detail what are your specs? A few specific things we need to know. What type of processor. How much ram. And Type/spec of the graphics processor unit. A DXdiag would surely shed some light. Aside from that I would recommend going into Options and setting everything as low as possible if you haven't already.
