I also know that where the manuals fail, the forums may help. So while most of the info 'IS' within the manuals, one may not find it palatable. So different formats can be of immense help. Don't loose any sleep, but please don't give up. One day it will click, your moment's of euphoric clarity will come.

Because all things are not equal, Lots of crap to take into account before making any assumptions. For example: your ram is kick @ss for sure, but hows that hard drive? Can it maintain enough throughput to even take advantage of all that band width? Unless it's a SSD/RAID set up, I'd say no. Then there's your GPU ram, 512mb Correct? If you have all the candy MSAA/HDR ect,ect You use up your Vram and again your HDD has to pick up the slack.

For me, the interactive tutorials are like the premiere feature in DCSWH aside from the WH of course. In this version they kinda stink, but that's OK this is after all a...you know, the four letter word:music_whistling:
