Take On Helicopter - New game by Bohemia Interactive
galagamo replied to Eight Ball's topic in Chit-Chat
I wouldn't to compare DCS with TOH or either of they're respective engines, or they're value. -
Well the X52 standard ain't no slouch, especially after spring and magnet modding it
-
No really, who would say these aircraft do not look similar? Thx for the explanation Beartail.
-
Excuse me my mistake, they do look quite similar though.
-
I know its a Convair F-102 Delta dart, but I am woefully ignorant of its history.

To X 52 pro or to not X52 pro?
galagamo replied to KoalaDoraemon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello long time user of an X52 standard I've had it for going on 3 yrs now the only issue I've had is upgrading software going from .DAT to .pro format I had to redo all my profiles. Regarding the software issues, unless its an underlying hardware issue, its guaranteed to be user error in most cases. It's a good versatile & relatively cheap HOTAS. I'd recommend it along with a warranty of course -
^^^^^yes isn't that called a double entantra?
-
They shouldn't have tarnished Janes good name, they should have called it what it is, HAWX3. Anything to make a quick buck these days.
-
I think Your system as a whole is below minimum requirements for DCS. you do have some upgrade options though ram is cheap but check the QVL for your mobo before you decide what you need. You should heed Killalfs advice, and save your money.
-
You could just do an app like iWarthog but for the BS. Start up procedures, Checklist, airfield info, ect, ect. I think it would be great!
-
This could be the gateway drug of flightsims. Ok Ok I'll GTFO now.
-
3D pits, All I need to justify purchasing FC3, but yea something new to fly like say..a Mig-21, or an F-18 perhaps? Nothing fancy, but it would be nice. As far as I'm concerned FC3 is just going to be FC2 with HDR and other features from the current DCS engine, no need to get my hopes up just yet.

RAM 8.00 GB (4.00 GB Usable)
galagamo replied to 636_Castle's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ive gone through 4 various ASUS MOBO's and 3 different sets of Gskill brand ram, just upgrading, I like em. But yea its always a good idea to check the QVL, its there for a reason. Good luck. -
My (X52 not pro) is working like it should with XPX. Weird problem though:huh:

I'll never ever pay for a 3rd party campaign, mission, or basically anything whipped up in the ME no matter how intricate it is. I hope the guys that are going for payware actually realize when they charge for they're work that they will be held to a completely different standard. I do not want to see the "paid" section getting spammed with crap that I could do myself if I were so inclined, even though I dont have to buy it, it could get rather annoying. Think Grandsurfs airbase mod, Bescl's MIG21, combatace's SU33, Ricardo's HDpits ect, ect, I'd buy that sort of content at a reasonable price for sure. Also I never even knew DCS had 3rd party payware content except those training videos which aren't addons anyways; learn something new every day.

Nvidia 680 GTX Inbound
galagamo replied to Terminal Meltdown's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've also had issues 'yes driver related' with Radions particularly the 5850, which I replaced with a GTX480, of which the stock heat sink was utter fail, so I bought an AM heat sink and it was almost a perfect specimen of a GPU. I had a little cash once so I bought an ASUS GTX580 directCU awesome! Hate to be a fanboi, but. Tally me team green:D -
What do you think about P-51D and Flying Legends?
galagamo replied to csper's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Ohh god, next three days with Airwolf intro stuck in my head -
So the pilot and crew chief dont powow, no pregame huddle? As I said wear and tear, not out 'n' out damage. They do not overhaul aircraft after every flight, so every time you climb into the pit you dont know whats going to happen. I guess its not an important aspect in a warsim, but its a huge deal when operating a piece of metal with a million moving parts, and until its there, it wont be a completely accurate sim. ED has guns huge++
-
It's a laundry list of repercussions irl machines wear out with use. The more you know about the machine you are piloting the better you can care for it the longer it stays in the sky, it's a big deal.
-
If ED were to model progressive engine wear as in you find your plane in the same condition you left it in, it wouldnt even be debatable ED hands down. I mostly like these sims because I'm curious as to how these machines work. A2As planes do a good job at conveying the intricacys of the aircraft they are simulating FM not withstanding. A2A is no slouch, they are definitely on par with ED when it comes to accuracy but they invest more in different aspects of the aircraft they are modeling. ED has guns huge ++

Everyone who thinks the DCSFL P-51 sucks, please keep in mind that it doesn't matter what you think XD I would wager that it will do well in spite of what you all think. Ohh the novelty, Ill be dogfighting and MP will be a lot less coop more H2H furrballls we'll see who's got the quickest hands to manipulate this bird with deadly accuracy, a fair test of skills. Some of you are just not seeing the potential, but you will.

Know whats sad? If it wasnt for google, and other corporations lobbying against it, sopa would have already went through like a fat kid down a slip-n-slide.

LMFAO@Narator

Edit}^^^Yea what he said Yes that is correct. I'm using Home premium, its been a great OS, but I cannot compare it with other versions as I have not used them. There may be a difference in ram capacity between them, though not a big deal IMHO
