  1. The active pause is designed just for doing what Wags is doing in training videos, it is completely useless for anything else. If you really are into learning the aircraft then start cold every time and use the time on the ground (or in orbit) to set up the systems.
  2. You see the Active Pause used many times in Wags training/information videos. Always it is used to make you able to set things up in your advanced cockpit. For instance Bombing settings that you normally would do while cruising to the target area. It's a feature to spawn close to a target and still be able to use much time to adjust your settings.
  3. No concern at all. And if you use OvGME you can activate and deactivate the mod as you need it. Works perfectly.
  4. TAW servers now running on the new Dedicated server distro. Thanks, ED!
  5. Firewall needs changing. Add rule for incoming 10309 UDP and 10309 TCP, and 10310 UDP and 10310 TCP.
  6. Yes. Use 10308, 10309, 10310 or any other port you like. For instance 12345 :)
  7. There is one smaller file with "Nose Art" that could be used by downloading online when connecting.
  8. Instances run with same switch? -w<instance_name>
  9. No, for the Persian Gulf map.
  10. If this works then perfect. Is it possible to read the current mission list and random select also?
  11. Oh, and a way around it is to set the mission calling itself with "Load mission" or select another mission with "Load mission". If you have 4 missions you can set up a random trigger to select between them by having them in triggers on all missions. A lot of work I know but still a workaround.
  12. Been like that since the release of the dedicated server.
  13. Try to reset your swap file by first setting if to off, then reboot, then set it to system and reboot.
  14. It is a navigation aid and is supposed to simulate a manual map with a pen so you can mark out where you are. Perfectly accurate as any sensible pilot would have in his flight bag.
  15. No! Just create a new clean user on ED shop and use that as your server logon. Then download all maps and run whatever map you want!
  16. Because when you run as dedicated server ED disables everything else than all the maps. Uninstall the CA module and you are fine.
  17. For admins that need a local webGUI console running, I can confirm that running the webGUI through SOCKS proxy 5 works fine. You need OpenSSH and plink to set it up, all for free. Change OpenSSH config to allow TCP forwarding and to open tunnels. This is a simple way to open up the webGUI console without giving access to your ED shop account and you can develop your own connection package to use for other alternative admins. When done you just set up Firefox with SOCKS proxy and remove the localhost override. Then just click the index.html file in your local DCS install and type in the port you tunnelled.
  18. Are you sure you are running a ED's shop user that is not your regular player account? If not then create a new user at ED's shop and use that to start the server. Just a thought.
  19. Only when you run the server in --norender mode
  20. Great work flappie!
  21. Is there a downloadable MAP same as for the Caucasus?
  22. No, the OB is published as "stable" when stable, so no difference.
  23. Yes, this way to set it up works now. It worked before by setting switch waypoint on all but now the function works as I expected the first time. I will chang on my other missions and set them on test. Thanks. (This is still just a test setup)
  24. Yes, this is just a test setup but I will change as you suggest and test again. Thanks
  25. When setting the Switch Waypoint command the aircraft goes to a totally different point on the map. This breaks all missions that make use of the Switch Waypoint command.
