I have re-installed Tacview, and confirmed it works well in DCS 1.5.7 and DCS 2.1...but nothing in 1.5.7. I copied over the saved game files...but no impact. Must be something I didn't do right?....I also notice that in the Special Options....under the TAB for Tacview in the Beta....I have no details ...to check off...the page is blank.

Missile Mod AIM-9X and others
lennycutler replied to USARStarkey's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
So long ago...I don't recall. -
Great Mod. works well with Nevada.
-
Found the files in the Mod directory under missions QuickStart. Edited the QuickStart Lua in the Flaming Cliffs directory. Got it to show up in the Instant Action selections for Flaming Cliffs...but can run the Ground Strike mission...or even load it in the mission editior...module not found error message. Again...this should be updated by patch for FC3 owners.
-
Thanks, just tried that...updater did its thing....but nothing new in the instant action section. Followed the instructions that you referred to. Seems odd that ED would not provide this to the vast majority of us who have FC3.
-
Latest release notes, reflect new Instant Action missions for the SU-33..for the latest release version...but only the carrier landing recovery mission shows up in the FC3 instant action section for the SU-33. Was this erroneously listed in the release notes for the latest changes?

You can use a graphic monitoring tool like MSI afterburner or other tool that displays your Ram and Page file usage while the game is running. Running DCS 2.1 with 16 gigs of Ram, I typically also use several Gigs of Pagefile memory. I am running the Page file on the SDD...and that is where your should be. I generally don't experience stutters.

I noticed and reported this behavior the other day in both the Spit and the P-51. I m running 4 cores on a I-7 4790K with 16 gig ram....It seems to happen when the view is changed, left or right or up towards the sky, lasts about 10 seconds at 100% on all cores then drops down below 50% on each core. This is on the Normandy map....and this does not happen in 1.5 stable version for me.

Yes....with mirrors on in settings.....does not make a difference...the spits mirror does not function.

** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **
lennycutler replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Does the developer know when we will see an update from ED that will include fixes to the anti-ship missile issues? The last major update to the Viggen was over one month ago. -
In your mission options turn off easy radio comms...this will let your comms menu work...also you can assign the target to your flight via the way point options.
-
RB15s self destructing In single player a flight of 4 Viggens attack two destroyers. The player missiles operate normally.....the AI missiles self destruct. Tried in several times and almost all of the time the AIs missiles blow up in mid air. See attached trk file test RB15F on destoyers.trk
-
Agree, as a recent buyer of the Viggen and the Spit, I am a bit frustrated without having updated module patches ....it would be helpful if ED would give us some feel for when patches will be released....near future ?

Performance Logs See attached options.lua dcs.txt

Load Times I just did the cleanup and repair routine,....my load time is still twice what it was for 1.5.5. I am not using the Viggen.

Don't see this as being actively worked on in the bug tracker. The issue is listed as item:0000231 which shows it was closed some time ago. So...is there a new issue posted in the bug tracker that addresses this now?
-
Seems to me that all of the online squads who prefer the Mig-21, should be loudly requesting that this issue be addressed.....since IR missiles are highly regarded for survival,....and being sure you have a good lock tone is essential,...for most...I would think the Multi-player community would agree.

Often I notice when attacking BMPs, I sustain damage that causes the landing gear to decend...and of course I can not raise the gear once damaged. Is this the typical effect of impacts from a gun cannon on a BMP? I have not notice any other DCS module react to hits from ground fire in this manner? Not sure if this is intended or perhaps just part of the evolution of the damage model.

When set up for a LAU-3 rocket firing run, the PODs look full from the external view, however, after firing a single burst, when viewing the rocket pods from an external view, the PODs appear completely empty, you can see daylight through each pods launcher for each rocket. This is when all rockets have not yet been dispensed. I have found this in the Nevada map latest version, and in the current release version. When using an LAU-68 POD, the problem is just the opposite. Before firing, the PODs look full, after firing all or any rockets, the PODs rocket slot looks full, as if the rocket was not fired, no daylight is seen through the pod openings. This is observed in the release version...I have not checked this in the Nevada latest version

Counter Measures in 1.5 will work on the initial attempt at a mission , but after that it won't, if you reload the mission, or exit from the mission selection screen and try the mission again...it won't work...counter measures button moves, no counter measures released. However, if you then exit DCS completely, and start DCS up again, and load the mission then the Counter Measures work correctly. I have no clue as to why this is, but I have tested it repeatedly in 1.5 and this is how it is behaving for me.

I am having trouble hearing the Missile Seeker Tone using IR missiles. There is a knob on the left side of the cockpit....number 28....it can be turned in the cockpit with the mouse. I see no reference to this knob in the control settings. Even when I turn the knob with the mouse...I see no significant increase in volume to the lock tone. Question- is there a control setting for this that I somehow missed? If not does turning the knob have any effect on the missile seek tone volume. If so, should you turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume...and is there any lua file that can be edited...or is modded to increase the lock tone sound?
