  1. I still stand by my words. Telling someone to do something else, while completely ignoring his issue and trying to help him to fix his issue is not OK. It's same as: "I'm having issue with starting my car" and someone says "Use the bike". Yeah, it might get me to work, but doesn't fix my problem. I'm thinking it's issue that either engine is not running or no ground power is applied, but without track issue can't be sure.
  2. Looks like this issue is resolved. Clock now shows correct value if set to Local time in mission editor and also, when changing time (Local/UTC) in the UFC, selection is stored on the HUD so nice job there. If anyone else can confirm this, that would be nice
  3. @Cowboy10ukCan you post a track file? Alligning definitely works, both in SP and MP. Yesterday I did align Harrier while mistakenly having engine off, but I did have generator and ground power connected as I alligned on Tarawa @DarkStar79 It's really not OK to suggest someone a workaround and completely disregard his problem. Also, if you lose a lot action, for the 3 minutes you spend aligning, I wonder what's your playstyle
  4. Hah, I knew that RB had Chucks guide on their own page as a "manual" of sorts as I first found Chucks guide from RB website back when I bought the Harrier, but couldn't find it on the website now...
  5. To be fair to Baltic, you can't write a manual if at one update thing work like A and on next update it works like B... So, until Harrier gets completed (can't see it happening anytime soon) you are stuck with asking questions on the forum and hopefully someone will be around to give you actual help you need instead of crass and condescending comments. It sucks, but it's what people will have to deal with now as only person out there that managed to keep unofficial manual up-to-date-as-possible was "kindly" thanked for his service.
  6. @myHelljumper While at it, can you also check this? This is also related to the clock and is also not resolved, but it was without any problem moved to resolved tickets
  7. I do realize it. Didn't mean to bash your work, it's just that I really don't like to use things I didn't make myself for a very simple reason. If something is broken, I can blame only myself or post a bug to ED. When using 3rd party mods, I have to juggle EDs internal mechanisms, my ideas and what the 3rd party mod creator meant with its mod, and I don't like doing that. Simple as that. No bashing, disrespecting or anything from me. I'm already used to empty bases so there's no lack of patience from me.
  8. Scripts tend to break and I'd rather not have something breaking missions halfway because I forgot to check some condition that script requires.
  9. Bumping this. Having all unused player aircraft (SP and MP) to show up as "empty" aircraft just sitting on the aprons/hangars would really bring some life to the airbases. It wouldn't look so barren with for example single aircraft in Kobuleti when I have placed every single aircraft I own in the mission editor to their respective slots. Could this please be looked at? I would prefer not using mods if I don't have to
  10. Designate has no relevance. I only boxed DESG to slave DMT to the WP on the "X" runway, so it shouldn't cause you any trouble. Also, make sure you use FOV button on MAV to get in the narrow FOV. That gives you "zoomed" picture and it will be easier to lock a target
  11. Here, I've done now 4 strikes with IR Mav, both with TPOD and with DMT used to find the targets. No issues if you do what I have described. I'll post you track files and a mission so you can try it for yourself. It's really not difficult, but requires some practice to learn all muscle memory. Just a noe, on the last shot with the TPOD, I have jinked my TDC off target so I manually slewed MAV sensor to the target and fired. Btw, what could be your issue is you try to lock target from very far away and this is what I have tried to show here. When trying to lock a target from 10+ nm, it won't lock and will go into "break lock" mode (crosshair wide open). Try to lock target when under 10nm and it should work. I see here that I forgot to mention something which I thought was obvious. If you are not in A/G master mode, Mav won't fire. You could get a lock and everything, but if not in A/G master mode, it will not launch. AGM-65Test.trk AGM-65TestWithTPOD.trk AGM-65F test.miz
  12. Don't know the SSS functions from the top of my head as I haven't flown it in a while, but your MAVs procedure is off What you want to do is following and it's very simple. Find a target using TPOD. Make sure you are in point track or MT, whichever. Then, you need to go to STRS page (left MPCD, won't work on right one), select MAVs and then press "Uncage". This will bring up the MAV feed on the left MPCD. After that, make sure you do SSS depress (not aft) x2 to go out of TPOD DES, so the TPOD is not "SOI", then do SSS up until you see IRMV on the left MPCD instead of INS, lock the target and rifle away. With a little practice, you can do this "handoff" procedure under 2 seconds easily.
  13. This should get you rough idea on the current status of the Harrier
  14. Mk-82 High drag (Snake-eye and AIR) are used for low (below 1000ft AGL) and fast attacks on a larger area. As in, bomb a runway, bomb a road or an unarmed convoy. The point of high drag is to give you enough time to get out of the blast radius, so if you do a diving attack or attack from high up, you can just use low drag bombs as aiming will be easier.
  15. It doesn't matter, you are using SC ATC (some parts of SC ATC got through to the non SC users AFAIK), and it's not working yet with the pattern the Harriers are using. Also, Tarawa landing operation has been not really working for a while now. The "best" thing you can currently do is fly the pattern with out comms at all until that gets fixed.
  16. Harrier is still not supported by Supercarrier
  17. I literally don't care about the new features to the Harrier while we have bugs that are festering for years without any hint of them actually being looked at. In my opinion, all these new shiny things (nobody asked for in a first place) are just a tactic to make community look away from all those broken and half-implemented features
  18. Wouldn't hold my breath for this. We are all witnesses on how the current "simpler" Harrier, the N/A version is doing and how it's development is progressing...
  19. Seems like you missed a video on Mav boresighting. Watch that one and then Mavs should look where the TGP is pointing at
  20. You are 99% still in INS mode. You need to press Sensor Select depress x2 quickly to transition to TPOD mode and that will let you take control of the TPOD and slew will be as intended then.

    Course Attack

After the North Arrow on the TPOD gets fixed, that should get you rough idea how you should align yourself if you want to i.e. do a snakeye run at the convoy. Also, if you do a WINC long when the TPOD is looking at the convoy, you will get a target mark on EHSD. By using your location, target location and the approximate knowledge of where the TPOD is looking (left, right, behind,...) you can plan out a rough attack pattern
  22. I do believe FM is in the .dll files (haven't checked for Harrier, but for other modules it is) so you can't really change it as that's compiled C++ code. But yeah, FM does seem weird sometimes as Harrier manages to pull off something that logic says it really shouldn't be able to. Thanks for sharing the info from the Discord. Too bad that the forums is the last place RB posts their info, if they post it here at all
  23. @Bbow Thanks a lot man for the testing. This basically proves my hunch that even if the Pegasus is really powerful engine, it is still not that much powerful as I saw the other day. I mean, I climbed (although not at the constant rate, I did 2 stage climb) to a FL400 and had 7000lb of fuel when I got there. So 700lb of fuel spend for a climb from Nellis to a FL400 with a not so light bomb load... @RAZBAM_ELMO Can engine performance / FM get another look on? From the testing done, there is enough discrepancy to warrant another check. We are not talking about 5-10% difference from a real thing but a way much more
  24. @WiskyThanks for this info. This thing is more powerful than I thought then... I expected to have some issues climbing up there with this kind of loadout, but apparently it's close enough to the real thing that it's fine my me.
  25. Ofc, 102% max contionuous, and also watch out for the JPT. The "max" I wrote was in regard to the Wiskeys comment that higher altitudes allow the engine to go too fast, and I understood it as it might go over 110%
