  1. Mine ran cruddy for awhile and now I'm running everything on high including the water.
  2. I've been playing with the water settings on high lately. ATI's 10.7 has really improved the game. Here is a track of me starting up, attacking and then bringing it home. Attack and land.trk
  3. I have a blast with this game and I just love it.
  4. Every Saitek joystick I've owned required it to be re-calibrated after every time the computer was restarted.
  5. Or copy the videos directly from the Black Shark DVD.
  6. A new Corsair PSU helped here.
  7. I replaced my CPU, motherboard, LAN card, memory, power supply, video card and hard drive. Despite all these changes I haven't lost any activation abilities at all.
  8. I am down to 2 activations on Black Shark. I am activated now but I recovered via a drive image that was pre-activated. I am technically deactivated because I deactivated before I recovered the drive image. Can I still deactivate it before I reformat? I just bought Flaming Cliffs 2 and want to make a recovery disc containing both products already activated but I don't want to burn up another Black Shark activation.
  9. I bought Lock On Platinum for $19.95 at Best Buy and it has both game discs in there. The game is really great.
  10. I thought this patch hurt performance but it turned out that my hard drive was on its last leg. The sheer timing of it made me point the finger in the wrong direction. Cheers! :pilotfly:
  11. The game is all choppy now. The mountains in the distance flicker now. I used to cram this game with enemy and allies but now I can't. The game is unplayable. I applied the patch over the 1.0.1 and I tried it the other way also by uninstalling and then applying it over the 1.0. This game used to rock but now thanks to the "new sound engine" I'm done with this. Flaming Cliffs 2 runs perfect but this game now is total garbage. All the work getting the medals and learning everything about this game, not to mention the money invested and now I get to uninstall it for good. This is the worst patch I've ever seen in my entire life. I thought these patches were made to "improve" the game not destroy it.
  12. I like it 200% better that way. It is nice to hear the audible warnings in Russian.
  13. Wow nearly a gig. Thanks!
  14. All I do is slap my own missions together. One can alter the missions easily because the vehicles on the road can be snapped to different locations. Even after I may take a nose-dive it is neat to see how the conflict turns out.
  15. I'd be seeing 450 FPS with that view.
  16. Bifocals are the least of a pilot's worry when getting shot down. :pilotfly:
  17. Yes, a watched pot never boils.
  18. What game does one need to buy before being able to buy and use FC2? Lock On Flaming Cliffs?
  19. Utilizing the trim too much can do this. Also having the collective and the throttle on the same flight-stick control can cause rotor damage.
  20. I went from an Nvidia 8800 GT and AMD 5200+ to an ATI 5770 and AMD 3ghz x4. It has been a great improvement in Black Shark. I went through 6 8800's and I'm back with ATI.
  21. I just switched back to ATI. I went through 6 BFG 8800 GT's. Never going back to Nvidia here.
  22. My chopper did the same thing and it was the collective simultaniously mapped to the throttle that was the problem.
  23. I make my own missions. You almost always are surprised by the battles. I shoot down Stealth bombers, Apache gunships and all kinds of other enemy including soldagos I've raked down personally. I've seen some wild things in the game and it is nice to be able to operate the gunship fully. I am waiting until tomorrow when one of my Optical Audio cables gets here. Once the cable gets here my audio for the game is goming to be even wilder.
