  1. Hihi, I sometimes have huge FPS drops that freezes the game for about 5 seconds. This happened to me yesterday while flying a SU25 sortie in a 55 player server on Enigma which resulted me getting into a CFIT. What I would like to ask is if this is a RAM issue. I am running on an i7 cpu, 3060, and 16gb of RAM. thanks!

  3. I came back to flying the Apache with a friend as cpg on the Rotorheads server after a bit of hiatus on the last patch. We quit after flying for about 20min because the TSD attack phase was populated with targets from T01 to T51. We figured “ok, these targets should all be enemies” but it turned out to be a friendly. Another problem was, since all 51 target identifiers were already populated, we no longer are able to mark new targets via the TADS because any targets above T50 does not save. We were not ready to spend time deleting the targets that was preprogrammed into our MFD only to have it repopulated when we respawn. Also, having the TADS over populated with these targets make it impossible for me to buddy laze with JTAC because I have now idea which target is which. For me, this “feature” really killed the Apache for me. I dread flying this module now so I am back to the 24. I am really surprised that with the latest update, they didn't remove this “feature”. SMH
  4. Ok, I think I have it figured out. The heading hold still works, but it just does not auto trim the pedals like the Mi8. But it does a good job of keeping ur heading as long as you have the pedals trimmed within the heading hold’s limits.
  5. Hello, since this update, my heading hold does not work no more. How do I get my Hind to work like before the update? No pedal trim, but heading hold will actually manipulate my rudder automatically. The new pedal options in the specials tab is just confusing. Pedal Trimmer Mode has no option to be off, therefore I turned the Microswitch Logic (which I have no idea what this is) to off and Pedals Trimmer Button to Do Not Trim. And now my heading hold dont work... Good thing I still have the Apache to fly
  6. I totally agree with this, I never thought thought that the rotors on the helos would actually cause health problems for some players. And being that turning off the in-cockpit rotors would only be client side, it wont be that much of a problem… and it saves frames too! Everybody wins!
  7. I found that the PNVS and Tads, like the SHKVAL on the KA50, changes in contrast and brightness when looking at things at different distances. Is that true to the real life counterpart? Or is this a bug that ED cannot fix?

It would be much better if our AI CPG list can list out targets by their specific names such as BMP, T90, M1A1, etc.. because having the target list as TANK 1, TANK 2, IFV, etc really does not help in IFF especially when you have 1 enemy in a sea of friendlies like in the rotorheads server. …or at least have the list be specific when you are within a certain range because even when I see the target clearly is an M1A1 Abrams in MPD, George still tells me it's a TANK
  9. Last night I flew MP with a CPG and he set in his MPD “armed” in the ASE menu. However, this did not set my ASE to “armed” in the back seat.

  11. Yes, my controls in General is bound to Left ALT+Y. I initially had it bound to Right ALT+Y but it didn't work either. Ill do some more testing today and report back here of my results.
  12. For some reason, when I fly the Apache and use the F10 Map, I cant change between the coordinate styles by pressing Left Alt+Y. This keybind works for my other modules.
  13. Yea, im pretty sure this is a global dcs problem. The wipers dont work on the the KA50, Mi8, and Mi24

  15. Hihi, I just finished building my new computer and am ready to reinstall DCS into my new computer. What I would like to ask is, is there anyway I can install DCS standalone and get my modules from Steam? Or do I have to download DCS from Steam, download the modules, then port over to standalone? Because right now, these are the modules I have... Steam Version: Persian Gulf Syria Mi8 UH1 Black Shark 2 FC3 Standalone: Mi24 AH64 If there is a way that I can just do everything with the standalone DCS, that would be awesome. But if that don't work, I know I can always go Steam first then port over to Standalone... which is a bit annoying but yea. Thanks in advance!

  17. Hi, today I got a new computer and I would like to migrate my DCS to this new computer. Is there anyway to do this without losing 1 instance of my activation? I am running open beta standalone with some modules ported over from Steam

  20. The last update I had a problem loading into MP servers with a lot of ground assets (ie. Hoggit, Rotorheads.) which never happened before. I fixed that problem by turning off game mode in windows. But after this current major update, its happening again. When I load into a game, it literally takes 10 minutes. I am using 16gb of ram. Im not sure if that is enough
  21. IIRC, route hold can only be engaged within 250kph and in level flight. Altitude hold will disengage if you move the collective lever. I think there is a option to widen the threshold where your collective will disengage the altitude hold in the “special” option for the Hind.
  22. I found out that sometimes the autopilot would only steer the Hind left or right and not both ways due to wind. But the AP does work, its just very “loose”. I think the best way to think of the Hind’s AP is its not Autopilot but more of a Control Assist.
  23. Sorry guys, FALSE ALARM! I just tested it again and I found out what was different from this patch with the last patch. This new patch, when you switch your rocket pod to either the left or right pod before firing your first shot, it will fire from both but only for the first shot, the rest will fire from which ever rocket pod you selected. However, this was not the case with the previous patch. In the previous patch, if you selected either the left or right pod, your first shot will fire from that pod only. I found this useful because sometimes I will load smoke rounds on my left wing and rockets on my right wing so I could mark a target and then come back with something else.

  25. The switch that allows you to fire either from the left or right rocket pod no longer works.
