In general- be sure that the short list of sticks you choose from have the HATS you will need to program. TMS, DMS, CHINA, COOLIE, BOAT, and CMS
Obviously- the WH is a replica A10 HOTAS-therefore unmatched for real controls & feel. TM support has long left a lot to be desired, but it seems they are trying to bring that around. Even if they don't communicate those efforts worth a damn.. The latest drivers have apparently fixed a lot of the stupidity built into that thing initially. Expensive- no rudders. Target software sucks- but I don't think you need it for DCS A10.. Prices seem to be dropping some..
CH products- Top quality- nearly unbreakable. Fighterstick perfect replica for A10 short of dual stage trigger. Throttle is not- but works spectacularly. Single axis. Missing individual China & Boat hats. CH Manager software is not easy for a noob at first- but outstanding. I have ALL the same controls as a WH programmed on mine. The 2 missing 2-way controls-CHINA & BOAT- are combined onto 1 HAT. Support- outstanding. Overall- very light feel. I'd like more effort to be there- but it doesn't bother me at all. Rudders- same excellent quality- but spaced too closely, light operational feel, butt ugly compared to others. They are not authentic looking military pedals.
Saitek- Get the Pro or the X65. Stock X52 waay under equipped. All 3 of my Saiteks broke within a year's use. They can keep em as far as I'm concerned. Replace your Saitek HOTAS one time and you've easily exceeded the cost of a 3 piece CH HOTAS that will likely never break.
Logitech- They made a nice aesthetic effort. That's about it from what I've seen. Alrighty then. Buh bye.
