  1. Just re-install 1.02, create a backup, uninstall, install 1.0, install 1.1, and you're off. (Unless you have already installed 1.1, then this may cost you an extra activation)
  2. You don't buy the software, you buy a license to use the software on one PC. If you want to use it on another PC as well, you'll have to buy a second license.
  3. Then tell us, so we know it and can start messing with it :)
  4. I purchased FC using a MasterCard, with a billing address in the Netherlands. No problems whatsoever. Only problem I have now is that my gaming rig has faulty memory, so I'll have to wait until monday or tuesday before I can install and fly...
  5. Incompatibility with XP64 because it isn't released yet isn't an excuse for lack of support by SF. There have been beta versions and release candidates for at least 8 months. I'd say they should have had enough time to at least have minimal support.
  6. What's that supposed to do?
  7. You can download another version of msvcrt.dll here Maybe replacing the one Lockon installed with this one might do the trick.
  8. Have a look at this topic for info on how to install 1.02 and 1.1 side by side.
  9. Does it matter? All the buttons etc are in the same place.
  10. I can imagine that they'll put it up during working hours, so they can react when things go wrong.
  11. Didn't you guys notice that the date on the frontpage contains a typo? The real date should be 5th of April, 2006. ;)
  12. This message usually appears when you open an SSL connection to a server. You can recognise an SSL link by the https:// instead of the http:// in front of it. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, which is designed to transfer confidential data over the Internet (such as credit card numbers and passwords) without others being able to intercept it. You can find more info about this on this page
  13. I'm buying for sure, but I think I'll wait for a few days to check your reactions on how the server handles the load :) I'll also buy the russian version when I'm in Moscow this summer.
  14. I'm going to MAKS this year, and the trip includes a few days in Moscow to buy souvenirs etc. I'll definately search for a Russian copy of FC.
  15. That would be 5.35 Euros.
  16. Implement the product activation in a way that everyone can download the game, but only people who pay and receive an activation file can play it.
  17. Distribution via BitTorrent can be a good thing. This way the load is spread across many PCs. With this kind of distribution, you don't pay to download the game, but you'd have to pay when you first install it (software activation). One drawback could be that your PC needs to be on the internet to activate the game. But I think it's a bit too late for ED to implement this :)
  18. 1C website says "April 1st" We'll see :)
  19. As I'm going to MAKS this summer, I think of buying FC in a shop in Moscow. Any chance they'll understand me when I address them in English? (My Russian is very poor at the moment)
  20. A friend of mine went to Farnborough this year, and he visited the Sukhoi stand there. Since his favourite aircraft is the Su-37, he asked about the project. Sukhoi built not one, but two aircraft, the 711 and 712. The 711 crashed on December 19, 2002 due to an FBW failure, but the 712 still exists. They wouldn't say if it is still flying, but they told him that the data from the Su-37 project is used to develop further TVC aircraft, like the Su-30MKI. By the way, the Su-37 is not 'just' an Su-35 fitted with AL-37FP engines, it also has a completely redesigned glass cockpit, with sidestick and a single throttle to control both engines.
  21. But with an ILS landing, you only get clearance when you're on final. Bit late I think.
  22. Don't be too quick to say it isn't possible. The video shows footage from CFS3, which doesn't even support mouse-look. Naturalpoint is also working for support in Pacific Fighters, which also doesn't support head movement atm, so let's hope they can make something for lockon as well.
  23. AFAIK it's because the missiles only have control surfaces in one plain, so in order to steer in other directions, they rotate.
  24. Another Lockon fan checking in. Can't wait for 1.1 :)
