Tonight we found another reason why you can get a "connection interrupted" If you enter a wrong password when joining a server, you will get the same error.

Yes, operated by the Swedish Air Force: According to the website there should have been a Gripen NG on static, but I haven't seen it.

Here's my take on RIAT 2012. Weather conditions were difficult to say the least, so many pictures came out dark. Starting with the static show, which was packed with loads of interesting aircraft. Here are a few of the most interesting. #1. The Polish MiG-29s were parked on the southern flightline, adjacent to the static show. #2. The Columbian Air Force made its debut at RIAT, with a T-90 Calima and a C-130H Hercules #3. B-52 in the rain #4. Wet conditions can also give nice creative photo opportunities #5 and #6. Some close-ups of the B-2 'Spirit of New York' #7. Another first at RIAT: a Polish Mi-14 'Haze' #8. The largest aircraft in the static park, the Lockheed C-5B Galaxy, is hungry When we finished photographing the static park (a 7km walk in total), we went back to our spot along the runway to watch the flying displays. #9. Starting off with some Russian kit. Here's the Yak-130 'Mitten' #10. And the MiG-29, presented by the Polish Air Force #11. Another first appearance, this is Al Fursan, from the United Arab Emirates #12. The F-18F reminded us of a mishap with a Spanish F-18 during the RNLAF Open Days at Leeuwarden, but in the end everything was OK and all wheels went up. (At Leeuwarden, a safety pin was forgotten, so the left main gear didn't retract) #13. The Belgian F-16 almost hit the speed of sound during its high-speed pass. Note the visible shock wave under the jet inake. #14. Another high-speed pass, this is the French Air Force Rafale-C #15. The RAF Eurofighter Typhoon generates its own clouds. #16, #17 and #18. The stars of the show: The South-Korean Black Eagles, flying eight KAI T-50 Golden Eagles. #19. One of the stranger aircraft at the show, the MV-22 Osprey. (Is it a plane or a helicopter?) #20. Finishing off with one of the newest aircraft at the Tattoo, the Airbus A-400M 'Atlas' (Formerly known as 'Grizzly')

Back home after a long busride. The Saturday show was great. We had a few showers, but in the end it wasn't all that bad. The Black Eagles even managed to do their high show. Photos will follow later.

maybe you can use this key in the meantime ;)

The Vulcan is planned to touch down at Fairford on Firday, but everything is looking good. They need one more test flight to get certified for the 2012 season. Fingers crossed.

We'll be there on Saturday with the entire Dutch Flanker Display Team: - Liger Zero - Beerhunter - Wasserfall - Joe Kurr Let's hope the rain won't be as bad as currently forecast. (on the other hand, a lot of moisture in the air makes for lovely vapour shots!)

Great pics Ells! Too bad I brought the wrong camera to the hangar when I vistited (500mm is a bit much for this kind of shots...)

Just a few pictures for now, more will follow when I have time to process the rest. 1. 'Sally B' 2. BBMF Lancaster 3. Sea Fury 4. P-40B Warhawk 5. P-40 Kittyhawk 6. P-51D Mustangs 7. Spitfires

Just arrived home after a great day at Duxford. It was nice to shake hands with Jim, Yo-yo and some others. Now to sort through the 2500 pictures I made, will post some when I've had some long overdue sleep...

I'll be there on Saturday, will definately drop by to say hi :) @ Jim: One PC is enough to find some funny bugs ;)

I have noticed the same. If you uncage the indicator prior to taxiing to the runway, you will see it deviate when you make a turn. It will shift to left bank during left turns, and right bank in right turns. I think this is normal behaviour, since you're turning a gyro (see the thread cichlidfan linked). A solution would be to uncage the AI on the runway prior to takeoff.

Maybe this page can be of use in learning to fly a taildragger. It helped me a lot (went from occasional successful takeoffs to occasional screwups). Takeoff in a Taildragger

+2 (A-10C + P-51)

DCS World with no key will only work in single player. If you want multiplayer, you will need a key for every computer you use.
-
AFAIK you can install World on any PC you like (as you don't need a key for World) Modules like P-51 need a key, and therefore can be installed on only one PC.
-
OK, here is what I did: 1. I received a license key from a friend (he bought it for me since I don't have a credit card) 2. I installed DCS World and P-51D (version 1.1.2.0) 3. I started the game in Single Player and entered the license key when asked 4. I opened the multiplayer screen 5. I entered my username and password I use to log in to digitalcombatsimulator.com and clicked Connect 6. I got the message "You don't have a license for this product" Since I read that there were some problems with this, I let it rest for a bit, until the second beta. I have now tried to enter multiplayer again, but with the same result. Here is what I did (slightly different) 1. I uninstalled DCS World 1.1.2.0 2. I installed DCS World and P-51D, both version 1.1.2.1 3. I started the game in Single Player to see if I needed to re-enter my license key (not needed) 4. I opened the multiplayer screen 5. I entered my username and password I use to log in to digitalcombatsimulator.com 6. Instead of Connect, I clicked Register Account 7. I filled out the form with the same username, email address and password which I used to register on the web site. The license key was already there (without any dashes) 8. I clicked Register 9. I got the message "Serial number is already registered" 10. I went back to the multiplayer screen and tried to log in as described for 1.1.2.0 11. I got the same message as above: "You don't have a license for this product" Does this mean my license key is now useless and I need to buy another one? (I hope not) AFAIK I'm the first and only one using this key.

So this means that if I buy P-51 for someone else (e.g. as a gift) this person can never fly MP missions, since his license is tied to my account?
-
Installing in "C:\Program Files (x86)" or "C:\Program Files" depends on whether you're installing 32 or 64 bit software. I think DCS World and P-51 are 64 bit, so they install in the latter, while FC2 etc. are 32 bit.

How to open .rar and .lua files? Freeware?
Joe Kurr replied to ErichVon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You can use 7-zip to open .rar files (and a whole bunch of other archive formats). It's freeware. For .lua files you can use Notepad++, which is also free. -
If I understand correctly, Ramstein didn't buy his license himself, but got it from someone else as a gift. As a result, he can't log in to the master server, since (according to the master database) he doesn't have a license (but his friend who gave it to him does). I have the same problem. Since I don't have a credit card, a friend of mine bought several licenses, and gave me one. I can now play P-51 in single player, but I'm unable to play online, since this license isn't connected to my account, but to that of my friend instead. Is there a way to solve this problem, i.e. transfer a license from one account to another?

Track ir is not showing up in game
Joe Kurr replied to SYN_MrWolf's topic in Controller Profiles and Problems
Thank you guys, installing the latest version solved my problems. Turned out I did't have the 64 bit driver installed. -
After seeing Beczl's excellent work on the MiG-21, I started wondering about missions containing 3rd party aircraft. What will happen when I create a multiplayer mission with a 3rd-party aircraft that isn't in DCS by default, and someone who doesn't have it joins the mission? What will he see when I choose this aircraft?

Track ir is not showing up in game

I'll check my TrackIR software and driver versions when I get home, it could well be that they are outdated. -
Track ir is not showing up in game
Joe Kurr replied to SYN_MrWolf's topic in Controller Profiles and Problems
I seem to have a similar problem. TrackIR works fine in FC2, DCS:BS and DCS:A-10C, but not in DCS World. It doesn't show up in the options -> controls settings. I use a TrackIR 4 unit with TrackIR 5 software. I have run the Game Updates in the TrackIR software, it shows DCS:A-10C in the list. One thing I can think of is that maybe the source of the problem is that my TrackIR software is 32 bit and maybe P-51 is 64 bit. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit.
