  1. I have had a pair of wired Sennheiser for a while, never really cared that much for them. Did not have enough oomph for me really. Anxious to see how these new Steel Series Wireless do for me. They show scheduled to arrive sometime tomorrow.
  2. You can disable it when needed.
  3. Ok so I went with this one: https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Arctis-Multi-System-Gaming-Headset/dp/B09ZW52XSQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2VK6F88KFRLN2&keywords=SteelSeries+Arctis+Nova+Pro+for+Xbox+Multi-System+Gaming+Headset&qid=1696371678&sprefix=steelseries+arctis+nova+pro+for+xbox+multi-system+gaming+headset%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-1&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0 Hoping for some good sound with that puppy. I should know here in a couple of days.
  4. Pretty sure I have checked that as well, and the log shows no errors or anything, all looks normal. VAICOMPRO.log
  5. What are you referring to as an old profile?
  6. Naw no problem with button presses, they are all seen and behave normally in the Virpil joystick tester. No SRS here. Yes I am sure on TX programming, have done it so many times in the past with no issue. Not now though for some reason. One interesting thing when I go to assign a tx button in Voice Attack, it first shows button 80 until I hit reset and then press the proper button which is 31. Not sure what is up with it showing 80 at first like that. I did unplug and replug the stick back in when I was moving it to a new desk mount, but plugged it back into the same USB port it was in previously. Then all hell broke loose with the change in GUID that affected not only Virpil gear but all my other connected gear as well. Crazy. Thank you Virpil.
  7. Thanks @Rodeo and @Mr_sukebe I will certainly check those out! Wireless with mic is what I most want that will work well with Vaicom/Voice Attack. And I do love very good sound.
  8. When I push the button I have assigned for press and release, it immediately does a press-release almost instantaneously. Never stops at listening. I tried assigning to a different button with same result. I have the button assigned for a press, and also for a release. No idea why it is not doing properly.
  9. Sorry my bad, that SS I posted must have been from a little earlier. I have since rectified that, here is latest image: null When I press button 31, it goes from listening to suspended immediately on that one button press.
  10. Made a little progress this morning. I have set a button to press and release for TX1. However it is not working as intended, I have to press the button to get listening started, then press again for listening to suspend. Can't seem to get it to listen on press and then suspend on release. Have to hit the button each time to first get it to listen and then to get it to suspend.
  11. Hey gang, I have been using earbuds plugged into my Creative sound dac for the longest time. I use a desktop mic with this setup. Getting tired of the earbuds I think, so want to give some headphones a try. Wireless with Mic would be ideal. I am big on my sound, so looking for something that will have very good sound with rich bass. Any recommendations? I already have Logitech software for some other devices.
  12. Going to try a clean install of Voice Attack this morning along with Vaicom Pro. I had done clean install of Vaicom, so might as well try the same with Voice Attack.
  13. Thanks much! I gave that a shot and it did not work. I can assign the button presses in VA fine, but when I try to use no button presses are seen by VA for those same assigned buttons.
  14. For whatever reason I just can not get my hat switch on my VIrpil CM3 throttle to operate TX buttons. I have uninstalled and clean installed fresh Vaicom Pro and it still is not working. I assign the button press and it assigns ok, but once back into Voice Attack for testing they just do not work. I am at a total loss here. Never had this kind of trouble with Vaicom before so I do not know what is up. I started with a clean install of Vaicom and imported the vap file fresh. Test shows I have all the commands. From all indications it should be working, but it is not. I have Joystick 1 enabled which is what I use for PTT. I am royally stumped. I have assigned PTT to these buttons plenty of times in the past with no issue, no idea what is going on here. Vaicom Log file not showing anything strange either. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear? Thanks,
  15. Yeah I am running a 1000w with my 4090 and glad I have it, certainly have had zero issues at all.
  16. Just expanded mine from 32 GB (2x16GB) Gskill 3200 MHz CL14 to 64 GB Corsair Vengeance (2x32GB) 3200 MHz CL16 . Will be curious to see if any difference at all in my DCS SP flying.
  17. Ok much thanks for the info I will be sure and do that! Cause this caused an unexpected royal PITB!. Anyway never mind on my post above, finally got it figured out - really not sure how, but I now have my TX buttons properly assigned in VA. Whew! Much thanks have those ID's saved to my computer now ! Hopefully will save me a lot of grief should it happen again.
  18. Ok so a bit of a story here. For some unknown reason except maybe to Virpil, My gear decided it needed all new GUID's in the Virpil software and windows. All I did was change a mount for the stick, nothing else. Did not even move the USB plug to another port, used same one. In any event, I have spent most of the day today putting all my button assignments for the Hornet back in. GUID changed on my CM3 stick, my CM3 throttle, my MFG rudder pedals. PITB! So now after re-assigning those I was going to fly for a while, but no my Vaicom Pro/Voice Attack - well it is not working either. Guess the GUID changed on my buttons I used to control Vaicom commands. Only problem is , I now can not get it's setup to even recognize the button presses on my throttle when trying to assign. None of them. I tried installing Vaicom Pro clean again, but not dice still same result. Kind of at a loss here, hoping maybe someone has some ideas? Thanks for any tips, this is driving me nuts.
  19. Ok so my 64 GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz DDR4 CL 16 ram is in - two sticks of 32 GB each. All recognized in both bios and Windows. Good to go! Obviously the main thing I got it for was DCS. 95% or even better is spent in DCS so hoping it really benefits from my having 64 GB now. Was wanting to fly some DCS this evening however just my luck for some reason my device ID changed on my Virpil CM3 stick and now getting just errors in the Virpil software. Have posted on their forums and just have to wait to get sorted - ugh just my luck. That has not happened to me before. No idea why it happened, I did change my CM3 Stick from the Virpil Mount to a Monster Tech Mount as it sits closer to my desk and I really like their mounts. But did not change anything connection wise, plugged into the same powered USB port as it was before. Very weird. All button assignments in DCS for the stick are gone. Maybe tomorrow I can get sorted and do some checking in DCS with my new ram. I will advise when I get it going.
  20. Sounds great thanks much for the info!
  21. Sounds great and what I was hoping for - thanks!! Yeah I am not expecting any fps changes at all from it, just want the extra memory for DCS more than anything. The ram arrived today , will probably put it in sometime tomorrow. Not feeling well this afternoon and am under some drugs so figure I better play it safe for today anyway. Anxious to get going with it though.
  22. Ok so have been running this i9 9900k rig since Jan 2019 and it has been great. With a 4090 GPU and now Open XR with MT DCS I am getting good performance in my Aero. I had planned a new build around first of the year, may postpone that another year will see. In the meantime I am replacing my ram finally. I have been running 32 GB (2 sticks) PC-3200 CL14 DDR4 ram. Higher priced G-Skill stuff. My replacement I have ordered is 64 GB ( 2 x 32GB sticks) Corsair Vengeance PC-3200 DDR4 ram. However this "cheaper" ram has CL16 rather than CL14. I elected to go with cheaper ram this time due to my possibly replacing this rig sometime after first of year - that part I am still unsure of. So I wonder will the increase in size mean better performance in DCS or will the increase in latency make it a little worse. Going to be interesting finding out. Ram scheduled to arrive sometime this afternoon/evening from Amazon. Will try to get it in my rig tomorrow for some testing. As long as I can maintain my vsync lock of 45 fps I should have a smooth experience like I am getting now.
  23. Ultimate Grip is a very nice grip for sure.
