  1. Yep that is correct. Personally I have been running it at 1.3 lately with periphery at .8.
  2. Yeah that was my experience also coming from a Reverb G2 and Vive Pro 2.
  3. Very similar I run vsync locked to 45 fps in Varjo Base, except I do not use Varjo Motion Projection. I like the results better without it. Long as I can maintain 45 fps and I can on my system, I get a smooth experience without the artifacts of reprojection.
  4. Definitely get the Quest Pro if you get a Quest. You will have eye tracked DFR with DCS and it makes a big difference in performance for most. I would take that over resolution increase of Quest 3 any day to have the eye tracked feature. You can always SS the resolution some if your rig can handle it ok.
  5. Pretty scathing review. Unfortunately that seems to be the way it is with Pimax still. Been that way for a long time. They do make some good headsets I think however not consistently for whatever reason. Too many defective ones get out in the field. If something were to happen to my Aero and I no longer had it or could use it, I would buy another Aero at the new 1k price tag - in a heartbeat. IMHO still today the best VR headset on the market. It is kind of nice being able to say that still about a VR Headset I purchased in Jan 2022.
  6. Just curiosity was up as the 4090's can be a bit power hungry. I believe min. they recommend for PS is 800w.
  7. I would imagine the Monster Tech chair just reeks of quality. Those guys are big on quality - yes their hardware is more expensive than most but it is for a good reason. I have a long extended table mount and a standard table mount from them, have had them for quite a while and love them. I recently got a plate to mount my newer extended Virpil CM3 stick to the Monster Tech Mount rather than the Virpil mount I got. Appears the Monster Tech Mount will not stick out towards me as far as the Virpil Mount does which will be nice to get a little closer to my desk. I also have the Monster Tech Virpil Collective Mount attached to my AK Racing gaming chair, love it as well for very quick connects and disconnects for some helicopter action. So yeah I am a big fan of Monster Tech products.
  8. You are going to so love eye tracked DFR with your Quest Pro (based on what I have read so far). Be sure and report back your experience with it.
  9. Don't put them on small mounts on your desk. You need them diagonal facing each other, I have mine a few feet in front of me on my left hand side, up about 5ft high angled down toward the headset. The other one is on my right a few feet behind me , angled down and towards the front left tracking camera. Mine have been there and working beautifully for quite a long time.
  10. See this thread for everything you need to know about DFR and Aero
  11. I run vsync on in Varjo Based forced to 45 fps, no motion smoothing. You might give that a try. I do not get noticeable stutters unless fps drops below 45 fps which is very rare for me running eye tracked DFR.
  12. https://www.roadtovr.com/valve-launches-steamvr-2-0-beta/ Who wants to take a shot at it first?
  13. I think the biggest mistake they made with the Crystal was designing it with battery power needed even for just native PC-VR. Not sure who might have thought that was a good idea at the time. When I sim in VR I want to do it for several hours. Having to stop and change a battery out for that - just no. I do find it intriguing though.
  14. Vaicom has a bit of a learning curve ( not bad) but it is so awesome.
  15. I just do not understand why these mfg's do not include a native PC-VR port to plug directly into the GPU.
  16. If you think you might keep it continue using for a few days. For me I got used to the FOV and it stopped being a thing for me.
  17. Turn it off and compare fps numbers with it off versus on should tell you pretty quickly.
  18. It would be a very nice upgrade. Great clarity across app 95% of the display. And the cincher IMHO - now eye tracked DFR is working in DCS fantastic with the Aero and the difference it makes in performance is outstanding.
  19. I can only speak for me and my experience. Personally I have found that running mine with vsync locked to 45 fps in Varjo Base and no re-projection gives me the best performance with hardly any stutter long as I can maintain 45 fps which I do. This is of course utilizing eye tracked DFR.
  20. You will need the best you can reasonably afford. VR is very GPU hungry. I would go 4080 and up.
  21. It is pretty huge. I have Aero but have seen similar reports with Quest Pro.
