DCS -MT running great for me in Open XR.

For seated only play you should be fine. You might occasionally have some tracking issue if move head around too far, I do not know what that would be. I have 2 Index 2.0 base stations and have fantastic coverage. Try the one and see how you make out, I think many flight simmers do. The Index 2.0 base stations are quite good, I never hear mine at all and I have excellent hearing.

Yes. Headset tracks eyes for the Dynamic Foveated Rendering and it is most awesome. Greatly increases performance where most are like me and never even notice a difference, fantastic image clarity. Everywhere you look with your eyes is one heck of a sweet spot. In fact I run my Aero at highest setting. You will just need a bit of software from mbucchia, I use the original version .2 of his Varjo Foveated. Love it.

Since Jan 2017 here. Do it on most days, and absolutely love it. Reckon I would never go back to gaming on monitor again.

Neither do I - running same vsync locked to 45. No motion smoothing. Very smooth.

To circulate air to help keep the headset temp cooler and in addition provides small amount of air on face ( barely feel) which helps keep cooler in the headset. Pretty neat feature actually. Also mine at least has never fogged up on me.

Strange - I use my Aero often for several hours a day and never feel like there is any heat issue. Fan seems to keep my face nice and cool, or at least good enough it does not bother me. You might want to open a support ticket unless of course you are just totally giving up on it. Monitor issue is just how Aero runs, can not have too many displays. I can run two monitors and headset, no more.

Horizontal FOV is not bad at all, Index level really. It is the vertical FOV that is really small. Once I got used to it though I don't even think about it.

That guy - VR FightSimGuy mmm. He starts out praising the image clarity, and then goes into critisizing it. And he says the 128 gb version has less Mura and better image clarity than the 512 Gb version. Ok... I would take his views with a grain of salt.

I have been using my Aero for many many months now. I love it just as much as the day I got it. I would not take anything for it and have no need to replace it anytime soon. It is everything I need plus some! And I use it mostly daily for several hours a day.

I am sorry let me clarify. I am sure I said this earlier but that was some pages ago. Of course it will not measure up to an Aero, probably not even close. They are two very different categories of VR devices and really do not compete with each other. I will only be using my Quest 3 in mobile stand alone mode. I realize maybe most of you only will be using it for PC-VR. But I figure there are some that might also enjoy the mobile VR gaming with the headset, and that is why I will be sharing my experience in that department. There will be plenty in here sharing their views so should not be a shortage of that. Sorry if I disappoint but that is my firm plan for it. I will not be installing any Meta software on this PC.

4090 with all 4 power connections attached, draws over 600w by itself under load. Unless of course you underclock/undervolt it. Which kinda defeats the purpose of a 4090 I would think. I have a 1000w power supply. I would never recommend less.

Ok so to update - had some big issues with Vaicom and worked on that off and on mostly all weekend, so no flying then. Got everything back in perfect working order this morning - whew - and just had a wonderful flight in the Hornet off the Super Carrier in the Persian Gulf. Ok so regarding these headphones - both my ears are still totally stopped up and hard for me to hear, however after some adjustments I got the sound up to where it is pretty loud. OMG I am so impressed with these headphones. The richness, the deep bass, it all sounds great. Fits just fine over my Aero strap, no issues. I am very, very impressed and can't wait to hear them in all their glory after my Doc irrigates my ears on Wednesday. The Mic on the headset is doing great as well, no issues using it with Vaicom Pro/Voice Attack. On a side note - during all this I had also replaced my 32GB of PC3200 CL14 ddr4 ram with 64GB of PC3200 CL16 DDR4 ram. I run vysnc locked at 45 fps no motion smoothing with my Aero. So I do not know about any FPS increase but I can tell you it is even a smoother experience now. Everything is just very fluid and smooth, more so than before that is for sure. So yes I believe DCS does benefit from having more than 32 GB of system ram.

Mine is still showing a Wed delivery. I ordered late though, about a week or little more ago - from Amazon.

Strange I can not imagine why a Vive Pro would not run in Open XR. Not saying it can but just seems odd.

MT = Open XR. There is zero reason to run MT if one wants to go through Steam VR.
