  1. "(OH-58 [Playable = 2, Quantity = 5])" Playable Kiowas?
  2. Get Notepad++ from here:- https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/
  3. What did you use to edit the lua file? Looks like it lost all code formatting. Only use Notepad++ to edit lua files. Normal Windows notepad will break the code formatting. Made a fixed file for you to try, attached below. Not sure if you really need the last 2 lines in the file relating to LEFT/RIGHT MFCD's. Try deleting them if you have problems. My_setting_2.lua
  4. Thanks for that answer, much appreciated - got it working now. Again though, it would be very nice to have some documentation on how to use the autoexec to it's best advantage. Why tell us to use the autoexec.cfg file then not tell us HOW to use it? Why must we use trial and error to figure it out? If I were a trainee bomb squaddie, would you send me to a live bomb and say "Figure it out yourself, you'll be ok!" (Extreme example but same concept) Not all of us are that familiar with the nuts and bolts of DCS and even though we try to learn, it's a lot harder to do so if we can't find any clear documentation and have to rely on random snippets from scattered posts on the forum. Come on ED, how hard would it be to knock up a quick text file outlining the use and syntax of the autoexec.cfg file? It would save us a lot of frustration and wasted time.
  5. I said mine were yellow by default but they're actually more orangey yellow. Anyways, strange that we both get different default colours. No idea why. Thought I'd change mine to light blue, so I tried putting the command into the autoexec.cfg file but couldn't get it to work in there. Had to uncomment the line in Graphics.lua to get it to work.
  6. Been happening to me lately also. Only since 2.5.5 (I think...)
  7. We're told in "graphics_readme.txt" not to edit "Graphics.lua" file directly but rather to use "autoexec.cfg" in \User\Saved Games\DCS\Config. The statsColor command (FPS counter) doesn't work in autoexec.cfg though and only works in Graphics.lua. Is this supposed to work in the autoexec file? Also, there's hardly any info available for using the autoexec. It would be nice if we could have some clear documentation on what is possible with this file.
  8. +1 for FPS colour choice in settings. Despite my posts above, I actually agree that it would be nice to have an option in game to choose FPS display colours. Meantime, here's a handy RGB colour code reference for anyone wanting to change their FPS display colour. https://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.html
  9. Really only if you want to winch the survivors into the aircraft or have other such animations like stretchers being loaded. Otherwise SAR missions are already possible and there are quite a few out there right now.
  10. Here's an extract from the graphics_readme.txt that's right next to the graphics.lua file:- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi! Old graphics.cfg is gone and replaced with graphics.lua. However, please, do not edit this file directly. Otherwise you'll lose your changes after each update. New method for overriding options is to create (or edit) a file C:\Users\<YOUR-LOGIN>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\autoexec.cfg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow that to keep your changes with each update.
  11. This is my default graphics.lua file. Are your values different?
  12. Mine has always been yellow by default and I can't remember ever seeing it in red. How did yours end up being red in the first place?
  13. Here's a mod to reposition and resize kneeboard - passes integrity check in current stable 2.5.5.41371. Should work in Beta also. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3856045&postcount=9 If you want different position/size in different aircrafts, make a separate version of the mod for each group of aircraft where they are the same position and size. Simples.
  14. +1 for drag and drop position/resize kneeboard. Meantime, there is a mod that works and passes integrity check. I'm currently using it with OVGME in 2.5.5.41371 (Current Stable) Find it here:- https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3856045&postcount=9 It includes many different aircraft. You'll need to make different mod versions to cater for different kneeboard positions and sizes - if you want them somewhere else in different aircraft. Pretty easy to do though.
  15. +1 It would be great if we could use switches properly like in the A10C module. I'd also like to see some more axes added. The Shkval is always much darker in a viewport than in cockpit for some reason so I always have to adjust brightness/contrast for it at the start of a mission. Often have to adjust it in mission as well so those axes would be very welcome.
  16. I must say, that flyhoneycomb throttle quadrant looks very nice for civilian fixed wing but one thing puts me off. When the throttles are all full advanced (especially commercial handles), your access to the 8 buttons and the autopilot panel directly behind them seems pretty badly hampered. I guess you don't usually fly with throttles full advanced but it just looks awkward to me, having to reach behind the levers to get at the buttons and panel.
  17. Is that new rain on windscreen effect at 0:44 in the video? Thought I saw water running off windscreen and blurring the view.
  18. +1 from me on a big helo. There's just something about big and powerful beasts that makes you feel good. Any big helo would do for me but tandem rotor would certainly be good for variety and a Sea Knight would go really well with the Tarawa. Mi-26, CH46 or CH47, CH53 or MH53. It's gotta be BIG! Puma ain't big enough :D
  19. True, tandem rotor would add more variety and I'd easily go for a Sea Knight. It would indeed go well on the Tarawa.
  20. Skip to 4:57 to see awesome formation take-off of two Mi-26's and a bunch of other Russian helicopters including Ka-50's and Mi-8's. Nice vid in general, just had to share it. Sorry if maybe veering off topic.
  21. Some heavy helos would be nice. Mi-26 would be my first choice but Chinook or CH-53 would be just as much fun. We need some heavy beasts in the sim :D
  22. +1 Very good idea. I'd like to see this implemented. Shouldn't be too hard to code should it? Default bindings on new modules definitely needs work too. Often I see POV functions set on my CH-Pro pedals - which obviously don't have any POV's at all. Seems like random stuff generated with no connection to reality.
  23. +1 for SAR
  24. I must admit, that Tesla would drive me nuts - especially the cowbells coming on and you can't stop it for 5 mins. Who needs or even wants all that useless distracting crapola in a car? Too many people are too easily distracted in cars already so it's bound to cause some accidents. Just watch a few episodes of "Caught on Dashcam" to see what kind of idiots are on the roads. Scary. Easter eggs in games or sims though... no harm at all and can be amusing. No need to get worked up about them if you personally don't like them. Just ignore them.
  25. No problem. Happy to help where I can. Did you try "Resume with clients"? I haven't tried it myself but it might work maybe? If something like this stops working it's a glitch or bug as they don't break stuff intentionally. It will get fixed soon enough I'm sure. As for the DCS Navigator addon - it is up to the addon creator to make sure it works with all the pause options on server startup. You should contact them to get that fixed.
