  1. Has anybody managed to record FRAPS or other video capture using, say, lottu? I can't get lottu to work with A10c...I try and pick the playback .exe, that being Launcher.exe, but it reverts back to the KA-50 application... What am I doing wrong? Is it not yet compatible with DCS:A10C?
  2. Outstanding! Thanks Memphisbelle! Appreciate the effort-> +1 rep inbound :)
  3. We use ED product. Not EA product. I'm more than happy to fly the A10C in a coop without the fear of being popped by an airqua... ahem! ...opposing player in a Flanker. I hesitate to join a server these days (in my KA50) if there are more players in a CAP role (FC2) than in CAS or SEAD roles. I have to say that I agree with Mowers POV, as well as Crunch's. At times I enjoy coop Hokum missions with great spanking air battles overhead. I also enjoy surviving, esp. after a 3 minutes startup and 10 minute flight time. I'll still happily fly the warthog, regardless of it's compatibility with FC2 or not.
  4. Tonight, I'd call winchester - there's a target rich environment after school holidays! So many drivers still in 'stuck with the screaming kids for 2 weeks' mode:joystick:
  5. Check the taxiways...plenty of traffic there.. /me looks for Panzer; good hiding spot?
  6. Excellent, Ragtop! Many thanks for going to the trouble of securing this list. :)
  7. 20-30% of all communication is written. Then there is inflection of voice, facial expression etc, making up the rest. We must be also take into account the international nature of these forums, with many contributors coming from countries, where English is a second language. Please take this into account when replying a post. :)
  8. Regarding point 2, team balance is important, but on most servers, it seems to be obligatory and not mandatory. I have to say, when I join, and I see 1 KA50 slot on red and 1 KA50 and 1 F15 slot on Blue, I will take a KA50 blue slot, purely from the 'shooting fish in a barrel' perspective you mentioned. This is given, that I very rarely fly anything other than a Blackshark. Regarding point 3, Op Rebellion is actually quite challenging, beyond the "airquake" free for all, as the 'Bermuda triangle' seems to separate the opposing forces, apart from Red KA 50's, which seem to readily attack the Blue home plate airfield (name escapes me, atm). And I can also switch to canon with the click of a button ;). With TIR, I don't need to place a gate over the target, using Shkval - I drop the HMS, hold down the "uncage Shkval" button and I can place my rounds where I look within the canon box (HUD).
  9. Unusual... My ping is around 240 on the 104th dedicated. Seems centrally located with a good connection for most people I've seen. People from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and yourself did well. Our TOG server may be different, for Central European users, though...fingers crossed! BTW, I wasn't on the attacking team at Maykop. Spud (me) disconnected after we took Pashkovshy-Krasnodar.
  10. Nice, Bucic! When were they taken?
  11. Cpy, Mower.
  12. I flew with you on the 104th last night, and I found the experience very positive. Apart from the datalink glitching (sending type 1 target being received as type 3), the blue mission to waypoint 2 was very enjoyable! As you say, Bucic, voice comms is a necessary part of the MP experience. Although you are looking for servers in Central Europe, I am looking at having a TS3 server to accompany our TOG dedicated server, once things are up and running. I hope you will stop by :)
  13. Are you using Saitek Direct Output? Refer to this thread I posted a wee while back... I hope this helps...:)
  14. For working out the startup sequence in the cockpit, it's hard to work out what switch does what, especially when you need to zoom in to read the labels. Check out this mod for custom tooltips by Baal: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/162/ It will provide you with mouse-over tooltips including shortcut key. Best intalled using Modman
  15. In the interest of avoiding a flame war, I will only say that the above admission will exonerate Glowing Amraam of any criticism made with respect to marketing the final product. If you think you can do it better, then amaze us.... Please! ;)
  16. Just watched this clip of a . I could hear Motley crew in the background, much like yours, Castle. Was your sound overlay the same show?
  17. Agreed. Castle, you sync'd the b/g sounds of the airshow perfectly with your passes. Beautifully done! I only hope I can fly my Bug as well as that!. Bought her 3 weeks ago, but limited time on the stick.
  18. No offence, Yellonet, but what you seem to be doing is trying to sell apples by advertising kiwifruit. They're both greenish, but that's about all you can compare them with. The reasons the young'uns of today will pick DCS is because they have a leaning toward realistic flight and complex control regimes, not for the visual appeal - but ya gotta admit that A10C in GA's porno - DANG IT! - promo vid has great visual effects. Mummy and Daddy will part with their hard earned money for a game console if Junior has an attention deficit affliction. If not, and he/she has a keen interest in aviation and wants a truly immersive experience, then they will look to ED.
  19. Now you've made this association, every time I'm going to read 'promo' I will, in fact be registering it as 'porno'...LOL! The mind is an amzing thing...pity mine is broken.;) Two questions, GA: Will there be more camera views in A10C than there are in BS/FC2? Allowing more creative machinima (like yours!) Release date. C'mon! ya gotta give us a release date! Now that you've released the porn...AHEM...promo vid, there must be a good indication on when we can get our greedy little mits on it? With the copious amounts of drool, urine and other such excitment-induced bodily fluids on the forum floor, it must be real close now...:bounce:
  20. Wow, GA! Thoroughly awesome :D. Thanks for sharing :)
  21. In the Game Controller options under windows vista, the clutch mode can be switched off. I actually use it to reset my TIR view to straight ahead. Note, I have the Pro version:
  22. Hi Pete, Further to Fransky's suggestion, perhaps incorporating a short spring behind the lock nut. this should provide relatively constant pressure instead of locknut alone.
  23. Hey Pete, whatever works. :) Paper and pencil is great for fleshing out concepts really quick. as I can see from your drawing, it's easy to follow. Can't imagine not being able to work from it. I go CAD because it's what I do (CAD Monkey) and my pencil/paper skills are really quite bad :P
  24. Minor, bought new CAD s/w called Alibre Design. Great little package for USD$99 with similar modelling capacity to Inventor. Getting my head around it. It's winter here atm, so waiting for the weather to warm up a bit (a bit cold in the garage!)
  25. Awesome Pete :).
