DCS: Black Shark User Screenshots Dedicated Thread
astrospud replied to Teknetinium's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Nvidia card? Mustang, what are your video settings? Outside of game, I mean. I'm sure I can get that level of AA without any FPS drop... -
Welcome to your new addiction! :)
-
You are carrying-on a long tradition of procrastination in acedemia ;) Nice effort, BTW.
-
Here's another that may have been brought up: Different voice comms channels in an MP environment. he ability to switch between KA50 flight, and supporting fighter cover. Maybe even just one voice channel ingame, allowing the ability to switch between TS/Vent/Mumble through PTT and ingame KA50 wing. :)

Just tested this - haven't cheat-started since patch. Works for me. Perhaps you have an external program function (say, TIR or Fraps?) bound to home key. Disable/reassign and it may work for you. EDIT: if you have a G15 k/b, the win key lockout slide switch may be on... ;)

"Hellfire" is the book I've read (I think on Page 5 you refer to this, BF), and the AW variant has about 40% more power (Rolls Royce) than the Boeing- installed GE power plant. This is, of course out of Macy's book and, as stated subject to upgrade. But I'd go with the view from man on the stick! :D

EDIT: Stoopid idea

I hope you don't mind me piggybacking your thread, TD. It seems our probs may be similar, but all things being as they are, our machines are different. I followed Panzers' advice and shut down any blue tooth devices I came across. I attempted to update the sound device driver, but the latest is from 2008... A note on my install, I do run the current Modman with a few mods installed: Could these be an issue? From Windows Error reporting: I've attached the crash files. Can't seem to find the server in the list today. This is the same for DCS and FC2. Any ideas?
-
Hi Razorback. I suggest finding and identical card to the 8800GTS. I don't think you can mix different types of video on the one PC. I could be wrong - techy guys might be able to help. This would be my suggestion to get extra screen output. Cheers

Cheers Panzer. Gives me a good idea where to go. Many thanks! :)

lol! I like it too. Big space/scifi fan and love my potatoes as well...why not combine! Anyhoo, crash files attached to original post.. Sorry Topdog, don't mean to hijack, but since we seem to have a similar problem...;)
-
Can I ask, Topdog, does your game CTD when you are hit or just as you are destroyed? It has been happening to me lately (5 times, last count). I, too, run Vista 32 and have noticed the only time it does it is when I am taking rounds or direct (missile) hit. I don't acutally see these events, I am 99% sure that's the situation when the CTD happens. I can only think that damage modelling and particle physics is being modelled, along with other usual flight model things, thus tipping the RAM beyond what I normally experience in level flight or ranged targetting. Saying this, I have flown in a formation of at least 5 other players over large city (Krasnodar) and although I have a rather low frame rate, the program is still stable. I know it's been said previously (reading the manual) and I have said it too. But if you are the type to jump in feet first, then check out the keyboard shortcut PDf that's in the same Doc folder as the manual. It will show you all the keystrokes for whatever you need to know. However, it won't put into context what each function is. That's what the manual is for! ;)

Hi guys. Welcome to the forum. Andie - Lucky you! Not much in the way of decent airshows here in Australia. 1 or 2 worth going to, but that's it :(. Farnborough looks spectacular. My neighbour goes to the UK regularly and is an aviation buff. He has brought back heaps of photos - lucky sod! lol! Again, welcome!
-
Thanks! I might just do that... :)
-
It's a metaphor, Bob. Pretty much every post till mine is a valid counter to yours, hence your post being "shot down".
-
Lol@ Bob! Talk about being shot down four times in a single pass! rofl. Rip, luckybob, rattler and Blaze; That's a quarter of a kill each, mmmk?;) Time to offer a fresh FC2 pilot a hearty endorsement :) Might I suggest you find an a/c that you like and focus on that for a wee bit. I cut my teeth on the KA-50 and still find I enjoy being a ground pounder (A10). It's the only one so far I have taken time to understand to some degree. A hell of a lot easier than trying to remember the full list of a/c and their functions .
-
Nice positioning, tho :) Well done!

:). Whilst you landed on the Kuznetsov, I landed on CVN70 (Carl Vinson?). might be a tad slower than the Kuznetsov, but it's not much to compare IMO:
-
Welcome AkeR! Not sure about that one. I've not landed on the Kuznetsov, but the frigates that are usually formed up with it. No problems here in terms of holding fast to the deck: You have the wheel break on, collective fully down and rpm in idle or even auto, and you should be right. EDIT: Come to think of it, I have had that problem, early on in my experience. See if you can square the chopper away from the edge of the deck, more toward the middle (but not completely) and see what happens. I'll check it out and see if I can replicate your problem...

Moa, the link for screeny is broken. Could you please repost? Thx
