  1. I am not new to the Ka-50. I understand where you are coming from, but I am totally aware of the difference between the 2 functions. I will try your suggestion of full deflection in both directions. Cheers. EDIT: NFG on the Full deflection method of assigning collective axis. New installer updated on the download site - will try new install to see if that will fix this problem for me.
  2. I have a collective issue as well, but I get no movement in the collective at all. The sliders move as expected in Axis tune, but in game, no joy. I have tried assigning the slider tick box with no results. Joystick is X52Pro, all inputs ingame config, except TIR re-centre.
  3. Having trouble flying without AP? In options, set a user curve on the cyclic until you're happy and comfortable with it. Then you won't be fighting the machine any more.
  4. Thanks for the beautiful photos Janko/Mvgas. They are definitely "going straight to the pool room!" (Aussie movie reference :D).
  5. Definitely not my ISP - I'm getting 5mbps d/l on tests. Torrent fluctuates between 60kps and 250kps. Not sure why? - port forward has been done successfully, btw. Will just have to wait, I suppose....
  6. Many Thanks, ED. :) Looking forward to flying tonight!
  7. @Strongarm: You're kidding, right? :o
  8. And here I was, thinking I need new prescription glasses!...(which I do) I was wondering how this was achieved. Thanks everyone for posting :).
  9. I have been using an external monitor on my gaming lappy (Dell XPS) ever since I've had DCS. I have now decided to bite the bullet and bring the Laptop monitor into play. I have modded the Options.lua and created another .lua for 2 monitor setup (all with the help of fellow TOGger, Macross ). Anyhoo, after a bit of tweaking of resolutions and positions, I have the ABRIS and Shkval on the Laptop on my right, and the main cockpit view on the large monitor. Ever since doing this, I have no longer had a clickable cockpit, and the shortcut keys have stopped working. Any ideas?
  10. Tyger, what did u mean by "wet"?
  11. Every time I look, the 104th server is populated, and you have a better chance of catching up with someone there... It's so strange. As an Australian Server, we have more Russian visitors than Oceania or Pacific visitors. Pings in excess of 400ms don't seem to worry some people. Stranger still, I would have thought there are more servers for Blackshark in Russia than our little operation!
  12. hell yeah, and what's more interesting is that they can still track it and receive usable data!
  13. Address and password for TOG TS3 server will be displayed in game. The will protect the players who have BS and FC2 from Voip spammers who generally waste our time and cause havoc in game. After all, here in Australia, it's school holidays for over a month!
  14. So, in your video, you flew "wet"...FD on, no trim?
  15. This is also how I do it. In a close environment ( like canyons/valleys and amongst highrise buildings) I find it so much easier to just hold in trim whilst jinking and the ship is solid as a rock. When I lead out of this environment, I get the attitude I want then release. Small corrections are then done with the trim-click method.
  16. I don't know the IP yet, but you're sure to see it on the list. Once you do, join just to establish a connection history and then in future, if it doesn't show on the list, join via history. Hope that makes sense. For the most part, there is only one regular fixed wing flyer (who is also a TOG member) and when he flies CAS, he hunts ground targets. When he flies CAP, then he hunts AI as per the mission, unless there are OpFor harassing his team mates.
  17. Good news! TOG dedicated now has a TS3 server for comms. Address and p/w on ticker text in game. :)
  18. For those in the Oceania region (Australia/New Zealand, Asia), The Older Gamers (=TOG=) are hosting a dedicated server with missions developed by =STP=Dragon. A Teamspeak server will be available real soon, so I will keep you posted on login details. Cheers, Spud.
  19. Diveplane, how do you manage the camera angle so low to the ground? Is there an .Lua mod I need to know about? BTW, Nice pics, all :)
  20. Nate, I've watched the second video of that performance and there seems to be differences to the KA50 modelled by ED... Any ideas? EDIT: Had a closer look and there are more differences to the left forward panel, namely the Caution lights panel are different...
  21. Hi folks. Welcome to the ED forums! :) If you're passionate about combat flight sims, especially the KA50, then you will find all the information you need right here. @Bahumat - Your description of the problem seems a little vague. Can you be a bit more detailed in your description of what's happening - or not happening? @Borakikay - Do you have experience on simulators? Tell us of the simulators you play... @dnme - hey mate, you are well placed to get rolling with the A10C. :) I also have an X52 Pro + TIR5. I'm still learning the warthog, but it's a beast! I have been flying the KA50 for over a year now. Good, challenging fun! :) @Mirgo - Seems you are keen to add an extra dimension to your simulators...go vertical! Check out the many dedicated servers for DCS/FC2. Many knowledgeable folk who fly online who will be able to expand on your understanding of the DCS package.
  22. I don't personally know any pilots, but if my addiction to aviation is anything to go by, I imagine that they love their jobs. Work or not work, it's cool factor is obvious, as anyone here is trying "to get a piece of the action" via simulation. I have no doubt that a RL hog pilot would give it a crack, at least once...
  23. I printed my Blackshark manual, my FC2 manual, my VRS superBug manual and a whole bunch of other stuff using one of these: Really cheap at AU$135 and the ink goes a really long way. Print quality is just as good as factory cartridges, just depends on the paper... :D
  24. Yeah, I realise that - maybe it came across poorly - but I would use lottu to run the trk file, and FRAPS to capture.
