  1. Check your axis indicators first (RCTRL+Enter), your rudder maybe offset when you first enter the cockpit. Usually it's enough to just move them shortly full left-right and it will center itself. After that keep an eye on the axis indicators to get used to trimming offsets. Under Misc. settings - try to disable "Synchronize cockpit controls with HOTAS at mission start" to prevent this from happening.
  2. Yeah, played with every option but even with no springs and FFB the rudder gets an offset from neutral. I actually use this setting for now, but i always have to short click trim again after my normal cyclic trim routine to make sure the pedals are trimmed where i want to have them at that moment. Usually i'm used to hold the pedals where i need them to be, worked best for me since 2009.
  3. I think i found out the best way for now. At start, make sure to use the cockpit camera up and down functionality (bindable buttons) to make your head's position is looking straight at the boresight reticle unit. After that use the boresighting procedure with ignoring the circles but centering the fixed centered VR crosshair at the boresight reticle unit. Check the alignment with PNVS overlay against world objects like horizon, clouds, vehicles...
  4. I would also like to know if this is correct or still not implemented properly. Another question would be if there is an additional fixed mode where the hud symbology stays fixed forward regardless turning your head.
  5. I would really appreciate to have this option like in the other helicopter modules. I have an FFB stick but no FFB pedals (which are even more rare than FFB sticks) and the way i'm used to and get the best handling is disabling trimming for the rudder at all. Right now, having only the same trimming options like for the stick doesn't provide the same functionality.
  6. It actually looks like to be a good workaround. If you have mouse disabled a cross appears right in the center of your view which is the perfect aim point for boresighting.
  7. Tried direct trajectory lobl attack, loal with the alternate trajectories is currently problematic in mp anyway (George seems to miss the step with missile waypoint...). @NineLine 4YA server Syria provides a good test scenario, just choose a slot from the cyprus airports and try to attack one of the convoys.
  8. That's not the problem. TADS shows he is properly on target but the missile still hits behind it. Just if the laser points through the object on the ground behind it.
  9. I can't get the alignment right, it's always a bit to much off the center even if the circles show perfectly centered. (All in VR)
  10. On my end VR performance is good and didn't change.
  11. Basically he can only hit with luck or if you are facing a moving target from front or back. If it's moving sideways the Hellfire will always hit the ground behind the target.
  12. My hope is on "...it will not be like the DCS Gazelle..." in regards to everything.
  13. I fly the Mi-24 most of the time with roll and pitch channel activated only, for take-off, landing and combat maneuvering. I only activate the yaw and alt channels for "auto-cruise" in route mode... For everything - trimming is the key. Everytime i'm moving the cyclic and pedals - EVERY TIME - i press down the trimming button and hold it --> move the cyclic and/or pedals -> release the trimming button after i stopped moving the cyclic stick and/or pedals. Constant trimming has to become a natural habit if you want to have smooth control about a combat helicopter in all situations.
  14. Yep, it's how it has been since release of DCS Blackshark and also working for all the other premium helicopter modules. Three different trimming settings with the option to separate the pedals from them. You can choose what fits best for your setup, in the end you have six options (3 plus pedal setting for each). The best and most realistic hardware setup for helicopter controls in DCS are force feedback controls, cyclic and pedals (as of now i only know of the FFB pedals from Brunner). But you can also get almost the same feel with friction hold joysticks and pedals (rare on the market or DIY mod). As an example, if you only have a FFB joystick for cyclic like me, you can choose between pedal trim off or on and use it like: 1. hold your feet in position all the time after trimming or have friction hold pedals which don't return to center by themself 2. do the part of the spring centered trimming procedure only on your pedals (let them return to center after trimming, but keep in mind that this an offset from now on) What i really like is the new axis indicator window with more information, like the red X for the offset center. It tells you much better what is going on. I guess we will get this for the other choppers too.
  15. Guys, please don't get to much confused about how Wags manages controlling pedals. Please take a look at the pictures, they are pretty self-explanatory:
  16. No guarantees, but it seems to have worked on my end.
  17. Joystick input and flight model work wrong in general, i have no idea why they didn't follow ED's trimming and controls concept (it's the best for helicopter sims on home computers i've ever seen). The problem with tutorial 6 is also that a real Gazelle is trimmed a bit offset backwards to be able to go up straight before transitioning into forward flight. I have no idea what this has to do with preparation for the Kiowa, because it also needs a characteristic starting trim position like practically all helicopters (have a look at the other modules).
  18. @XpRiV Hmm, double checked your axis input bindings working correctly? And most important, do you trim properly?
  19. Thank you for pointing my nose on it, i only saw videos of it and didn't know that it's already available. What can i say... they nailed the basics pretty good! It also has already working FFB for trimming the cyclic! Very impressive for a community module! It only needs some polishing here and there. I'm waiting since 2016 for something like this in the Gazelle.
  20. Maybe i get censored again - the trim button never worked properly. It just can't because if you use it, it would put the airframe in a continuous roll. It's because the FM and control input system under the hood is not a helicopter FM and also not on the same level like ED's helicopters where trimming works realistic and is essential just like in real life.
  21. On my end it was actually a Win10 issue. My VR mirror window was very large and got rendered behind the taskbar and every time the confined-to-window cursor was positioned over the area of the taskbar and i clicked, the game window got out of focus (because it technically clicked on the taskbar). I quickly found out to work around this by making the VR mirror window smaller to prevent this from happening: Those features came with DCS 2.7 and i find them very useful, i asked BN to pin the topic but he never reacted. So the thread sunk into the abyss...
  22. I'm having the same problem. The key combo did work on release day, but does nothing now on a server with voice chat enabled. And all button bindings for it are unbindable in UI layer settings (greyed out).
