oh, no mate, fear not. i didn't take it that way, just looking forward to the first video that is based at a correct instructional level. If it's any good, i wont bother making one. rergards 'T'

yeah, the slider is lame, for sure. I used to use it for max zoom, but so jerky. Now i default to the mouse wheel on the throttle after LAlt & C. The speedbrakes on the Rotary 1 is via bands. This means that i can recenter the rotary at a position that i want the speedbrake at, eg, approx 40% on finals. It does have it's disadvantages as already mentioned in that yoiu will have to recenter in order to be able to toggle switches etc and essentially have control again, as the rotary will constantly be sending 'Lshift & B' (or whatever it is) to the system. It has caught me out a few times, but very concious now to recenter. Regards 'T'

I use Rotary 1 for air brakes. I have an X52pro. This is the only KB command i use the SST software for. The remainder is mapped in sim. PM me your email address. I'll send you my profile for the airbrakes. Regards 'T'

Almost every night there will be members of the 74th flying mate yes. Currently got visitors, but my maijn place in an evening is on TS or on our server; 'ocelot'. Whether we are about or not, the server is 24/7. Feel free to jump on anytime. Servman installed, so mission choice is possible. All mission briefings are available on our website. We are a UK vfs. Regards 'T'

we are holding off on TARS currently, although we fully support the initiative. You will be made welcome. Server password issued as MOTD on Teamspeak. regards 'T'

I wasn't challenging anyone. I was proposing i done one in the style of either of my two 3 screen videos, the Blackshark promo and Flight school assessment. But..................i await your product. should be intertesting. GL. 'T'

However, i applaud the initiative and as a result have bookmarked the Server. I will frequent it reulary over the next couple of weeks. If anyone needs help, feel free to poke me. Regards

To be honest, i never really threw myself into it, until the other night that is. I can now announce that i can do it too. Now then, what about a 3 way vid on it? not to outdo the OP of course, but different views make it all the more interesting to watch. At the risk of being 'forum burnt' i`d probably do a little commentary............................. //see's GG rubbing his hands :smilewink: 'T'

IMHO (and not an official response) Exactly. I dont understand what this thread is all about TBH! Run your own TS Client / server and call it 'DCS Community Server - 1', people come in to chat / fly or see it on the universal server listing and start their own, 'DCS Community Server - 2', and so on, etc etc. We have to be realistic here. Are we going to wait for ED to announce that they will host a DCS Community Teamspeak for you all to meet up n chat, chat some more, then fly on an agreed server? When there are endless servers out there anyway and the ease is there in which you can host your own Teamspeak? probably not. 'T'

As ever, thanks m8. 'T'

 +1 Absolutely! - Job Done. OutonTheOp, thanks for the explanation, but mate......... it just isn't practical. Whilst the concept sounds great, it would rely upon EVERYONE to have 100% SA of exactly what is going on................not possible. It WOULD work however, if there was a 'supreme' overwatch - ie one person ATC / GC / Air Ops, but as i have said, maintaining SA would be nigh on impossible for those joining the mission. The EFA Mod on the other hand..................well, i`d reinstall FC2 to fly a cargo plane and have an escort, :music_whistling: perhaps not. :smilewink: 'T'

Rgr, thanks for the clarification. If thats the case, my question therfore is er............................why? Thats not me being fascecious, i am just genuinely interested how this would all tie in. Transport aircraft are a soft target. 'T'

Shortanswer? no. Replay the track and record using FRAPS (for example). Then 'import' into editing suite. 'T'

Lonewolf that doesn't want to use the provided servers slots? Start Teamspeak in server mode. Run your own. goodluck 'T'

MSFS...............?????????????? Microsoft Flight Simulator? I'm completely at a loss of understanding this thread TBH, as outside of the MSFS, isn't this what we do anyway on community events? Understanding this thread or not, it is intriguing me, but please explain a little better. 'T'

DCS Server Provision - A Roadmap:

ATC / GC taskings - similar to BAI taskings for A2G attacks -
DCS Server Provision - A Roadmap:

Weapon engagement - 3 'ED standard maps' - Easy (ground targets no threat), Medium (ground targets, turret / AAA Threat) and Hard (AAA/SAM variants). The purpose behind the 'standard maps' is so that new players can choose the appropriate threat level in accordance with the speed of their systems of work inside the cockpit for employing the various Weapon Systems. Not Scenario driven. -
Panzer, i know first hand how long and hard you have worked on this. Thank you, sincerely. When our Fibre has been turned on and 'Puma' and 'Lynx' are back in the picture FT, we will be running on both. Thanks. 'T'

Server hosts: Why do you lock your servers?

Fairplay. Sort of Rhetoric to be frank, and so consequently removed. 'T' -

I hate to say this MT, but you are not saying 'anything' that has not been said before, specifcally by 'yours truely' (thats not arrogance buddy, thats fact). However, it is fair to say that this has been a semi usefull poll, but obvious facts are obvious facts, in that a MP enviornment, (irrelevant of Genre), success requires co-ordination in a unified purpose to achieve the Mission Goal. Take out 'any' form of comms, be that chat or the preferred (for obvious reasons) voice, and it's just a free for all, with the 'possibility' that the mission might just get achieved. Take BFBC2 for example. No co-ordination at all on any of the open maps, yet the mission goals are met by either side by virtue of sheer numbers and the 'fest' attitude. DCS sims are just NOT in that category. FC2, to a certain extent, can be. Yes thats right, it can be. My ole vfs, the 104thPhoenix (great bunch of guys and supremely talented) will be the first to admit this. They have always maintained an open server policy for the community (Kudos) and missions are completed and rotated, but it is fair to assess that only a small portion of those are actually 'co-ordinating'. The remainder ARE in lonewolf / fest mode. No different than BFBC2. Thanks for taking the time out to create the poll. Regards. 'T' -

Nuff said. Poko24, break your own barriers in your own time. As for others not reading this thread. What do you want me to say except, they should at least research? 'T' -

 Not so. Come on TS and be 'silent' if that is your preference. You will be able to hear what is going on and as you have said further in your post, a simple 'Roger' 'Copy' or 'understood' would suffice. Try writing in notepad a brief introduction and pasting it as soon as you arrive in the relevant TS channel. "Hi, my name is Poko24. Pretty shy person and speaking with strangers over TS stresses me a little. Please dont be offended if i dont contribute toward conversation or the Mission acknowledgements" Say that on the 74th Server and we would instantly respect that. Infact, we would say, "This pilot's got his S*** squared away!" Never say never! I'd also like to add that one of my own pilots in our vfs, was a fairly timid and shy man who barely said a word. Just 'being' around those that speak fairly easily with one another can psycologically break down some barriers and before you know it you are conversing without feeling the pressure to do so. With the right people around you, being on TS can have a huge impact on your confidence in real life. We can't shut him up now! :smilewink: Regards 'T'
