  1. No. The ME does not allow you to have an A-10C start on deck - engines running or not.
  2. HD full screen 720 is the way forward for this video. Enjoy 'T'
  3. and the Teamspeak information along the first lines of the mission description so that it is freely available even when the server is locked. Hop onto Teamspeak, get the server password and hey presto, you're in- TARS or NOT. There has to be some give, if other players on the TS arn't using it, then i hardly think you can whine because of that. Just de-activate it for that period and enjoy the MP experience without it. Next time you jump on, it may be more biased towards TARS. TARS is GR8! simple! HS done a fantastic job and continues to do so with updates and bug crushing, but for any sim pilot out there who uses nothing other and expects to flit between servers and be accommodated at all times, well...................BTGameplay went out of business 20 years ago. :music_whistling:
  4. Just adding info for wider understanding mate, not to undermine any previous post. All i have done is just expand a little Regards 'T'
  5. 1 - Horses for courses TBH. I never use trim except when i have an unbalanced loadout, damaged aircraft or A2A refueling. LASTE / EAC exists for a reason. 2 - F keys 3 - Not as far as i know 4 - http://files.lockon.ru/en/38342/ 5 - ?? not sure what you are trying to say here. Ultimately, 'A' Keypress initiates EAC control on the appropriete setting - Alt & Hdg, Altitude or Path. Switch on the left hand side by your knee. Good luck. 'T'
  6. see this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58484
  7. Well, time flies when you're having fun right? but, it may well not have been an hour. The seeker head actually needs to 'warm up' after being 'cooled down' for 30 minutes, so if you were able to track with the head, it is likely that there were inaccuracies or inhibition of launch. Turning the mavericks on, just before you need them (or during ingress) is wise, and many of us could save ourselves some dissapointment when pressing the OSB for 'Ack', when the inevitable 'EO Timer Out' message appears, because we started to cool the seeker head by turning the EO Timer on, just before take off! ;-) 'T'
  8. The key to the X52 is a good profile and with the A-10C, 'curvature' is a must when using this stick. I use the X52 pro and to be honest, i love it, and wouldnt consider paying what TM are asking for, currently in the UK for the Warthog. The gold solution however, is of course the TM Warthog, but if it's not in your budget, don't bust a 'bollock' (to coin a british friendly term) trying to get one. You'll be perfectly happy with the X52. The X 52 pro was upgraded from the X52 to incorporate 'double' springs on the stick after much feedback from the community in general about the apparant 'sloppy' nature. Like i said, i can't really comment having an X52 pro. My advice however, is to pm Jackbauer, and ask for some advice. He is a wealth of knowledge with regards to the X52 series and i`m sure will help you out with mapping and profiles, as will most of us of course. I merely point you to him for a starter. In summary, you'll love it. If money is an option (as it is for most of us nowadays), don't feel you HAVE to get a TM Warthog, even though it is without doubt, the Gold solution. good luck. 'T'

Damn missed it. Happy birthday +1 day Mike. Spk soon, i`ll drop by. Regards 'T'
  10. PID'ing is a requirement (Positive Identification) before openeing fire for all coalition soldiers in Afghanistan. I am an Infantry WO1 and have served in two tours of Afghanistan (Op Herrick 7/8 and 9/10) whist my Bn was the TRB, and having been in combat, i feel a 'little' qualified to comment for clarity on the matter. PID'ing is vitally important. The difficulty comes when you are trying to protect a people who have a 'gun' culture and could quite happily wander the streets with it slung on their back, or whilst in the field cultivating their 'harvest'. However, unlike Iraq, there is no WAC (Weapon Authorisation Card) system and so normal 'stop and search' routine is not the 'norm'. To be fair, and not to contradict myself here, but there are far more civilians who DON'T carry a weapon, than do. The difficulty comes from PID'ing the THREAT, during contact, especially if it turns into a TIC (Troops In Contact), where authorisation comes to use ECAS or indirect fire. All civilians i have seen caught in the middle are huddling for their lives or running away to a flank. Believe me when i say that they are PID'd as a threat or not, before they are opened up upon. But, what of the innocent civilian, caught up in a TIC, who runs away to a flank with a rifle slung on his back? I'm afraid, the chances are, he'll get shot. Sadley, our enemies in afghanistan take over compounds that belong to ordinary hard working families, who are just trying to 'get by' without succumbing to the inevitiable threat of their name being wiped of the Afghani version of the doomsday book, if they don't grow poppy for the Taliban. Used as hostages, and usually tied up or shoved to the corner of a room, the Taliban then engage us from the compound. By shear weight of fire, and under a commanders discretion, a TIC can be called and then authorised by TFHQ. Once that happens, in comes the big guns, or flechette from an Apache. Sadley, civilians do get killed, and we dont always get an enemy body count. It is their tactic, it is unsavoury to us, but it works. This is why ALL British Soldiers are taught that 'restraint' 'evaluation' and 'patience' always win the day rather than a 40mm grenade through the front door. PID'ing is absolutely vital to the integrity of coaliton forces in afghanistan when it comes to engaging the enemy. You can't just shoot anyone because they are carrying a rifle, but by god, you can be suspicious. Peace. 'T'
  11. AFAIK, the EO timer will come on around 28 minutes and will need to be reset, before the mavericks can be used. If you have reloaded you different AGM65 variants, you will need to reload the appropriate pylon. Regards 'T'
  12. er........................oh yeah! Wishing my retirement early ! :music_whistling:
  13. It is hard.....................very hard. Smooth inputs, good throttle control. Some say to change curvature of the stick whilst practicing. Clearly not achieveable on the fly. GG.....over to you ;-) Regards 'T'
  14. Great stuff, we wish you all the luck. Safe flying, and thanks for adding to the community. I, amongst others, look forward to VFat 2012!! Regards 'T'
  15. Incorrect. This type of tactic adopted by a terrorist organisation, Insurgency, Guerilla warfare unit or even a 'Conventinal' state Army turns the warfare card into Asymetrical Warfare. To call this tactic 'Modern Warfare' is absolute piffle. This type of tactic (human shields, civilian infrastructures) has been about since we first 'susssed' out, how to make fire! 'T'
  16. Fly level, at a constant speed. Change your curvature on your stick to, i dunno, say 10? 'T'
  17. Elite?
  18. Nice BBQ. I'm sure you were probably referring to my own SOP 3 video - Pattern circuit when you talked about '9' on the heading tape. Remember that in that particular video it was 'without' reference to any dials other than the Heading Tape and visual reference to the airfield and is nothing other than an SOP of ours. Other people can take from it what they will. Nice vid again, and don't worry bout the wind, sounded good. Regards 'T'
  19. The videos will be re-done on the CR (Candidate Release) model. Loking through my notes, i am not to blame, neither are you, nor blueridge, infact no-one is. These videos were made using Beta 2 and at the time the 5 mil wasn't working correctly (graphically) although the chars- were. Blueridge has bought about a fine example of clearing up a grey area by his track, i thank him on behalf of the community. Regards 'T' PS: so no IVS of your own then?..................................relax, i`m joking. - fly safe.
  20. Thanks man, it's been a long one today.
  21. thanks man, good stuff. Regards 'T'
  22. 6 Minutes 45 seconds CLEARLY shows that i am not in Manual release mode after selecting 5 mill as an option in the IFCC. I'd like to see you do a level drop in CCIP Manual Release, Blue. look forward to the track, lets test baby! 'T' PS: dont forget this was Beta 2 BTW, but thanks for the comments all. I will be redoing the IVS inline with CR. thanks.
  23. apparently not.................... ;-)
