  1. would make absolutely no difference. They are all installed into their own sub directory.
  2. go watch my videos OP. i created them exactly for people in this thread.
  3. Inner ring on range concentric circles. Triangle. Triangle = north. Use that for Compass point SA
  4. I agree completely mate. Sadley, i reckon this will be well down the list of things to do. Until then, i will make concessionary slots for the public. Regards +1
  5. you are crazy man! i luv it. Thing is, if mustang starts modding again, we'll loose him for months and he'll come out of his little hut unshaven and in dirty clothes stinking of his own urine. Things is though, he'll bring out some fantastic mods with him. Nice mustang, you can smell of pee anytime man! 'T'
  6. fairpoint.
  7. ok, out of context i think. heres my final point. I DO things by the letter. I make SURE my sqn does to. I DON'T do the spawn die spawn die thing, Falcon 4 or any other tripe. But given the option of 4 or 6 mavs? i`ll take 6 thanks. //walks off, looks for pub, rolls eyes.
  8. Same. I have remapped the unpause to '5' key. if this sin't working for you choose another. GL. 'T'
  9. Thanks for the informative and as ever 'well put' reply Eddie. As you know, at the 74th, we try as closely as we can to follow RL procedures with regards to ground discipline, Brevity, basic tactics etc, and have a whole lot of fun doing it. Some people seems to forget the 'fun' element whilst still complying as close as is feasibly possible to that which they 'think' is RL or 'is' RL procedures. Take the fun element away, and well, we all might aswell go on an aerodynamic degree course in our spare time. like i said, i like 6 mav's, and respect the reasons why in RL that it is not a long term feasible management solution, or why some other simmers prefer not to adopt it as a loadout. But, this aint RL and if it was deemed to be completely a no show, then it wouldn't be in the ME. saying that though, and not to 'backtrack', but i dont remember it being the case in the A-10A in FC2. You can't carry 6 mav's then can you? ( a serious simmer is only really a serious simmer, if he punches himself in the face as hard as he can, when he crashes or is taken out by that bloody Tor on Switchblade!)
  10. oh jesus! you not think we all have enough Master Cautions to deal with anyway? 50% of why we do what we do, is for fun. When you compromise the 'fun' element, we might aswell, all stop what we're doing, leave our lives where they are and go and be 'real' pilots, which of course 99% of us can't do. Either too stupid (i`m an infantryman, nuff said), not enough money (PPL), or just simply not good intellectually enough and would not pass selection. I like 6 mav's. it's fun! 'T'
  11. completely wrong. see above. You will find that most serious (by that read, reflective of RL systems of work) vfs's try to mimic rl procedures. Thi is an A-10C, not a DC-10
  12. Depends on vfs regulations versus RL. For example. In the 74th, on the ground at homebase we have Nav Lights on steady, Anti Collision strobe flashing and formation lights (luminous strips). During the day, 'no' nosewheel steering light. Once taken off and after positive climb, gear up, flaps up afterwards (pretty much immediate depending on weight loading) and then the Anti Collision Strobe light off. Upon Ingress and as part of FENCE procedure, Nav Lights go off. Formation lights remain on. If you are returning back to homebase and you are in trouble - that is to say, shot up, 1 wing, generally 'mission screwed', your nav lights go to flash along with your Anti Collision lights. This is to visually warn people in the 'sim' (read my sqn) that you are on finals and in trouble. Especially poingnant if for example you are using TARS and have no radio / TS. On a normal Finals, Nav Lights on to steady, Anti Collision strobe to flash. Real life? As far as I am aware (only really taking notice at FMB / COB type locations - Herrick; Bastion, Kandahar, Telic; BASRA COB, NI; Aldergrove, the 74th procedure is correct in relation to Military Airbase Ground Discipline, except the Anti Collision strobe light turned on only when taxi-ing. In the 74th, we turn it on as part of the startup procedure. Finally, Definitions. Anti Collision Strobe Light - Flashing 1 sec on, 1 sec on, L & R wing Alternating, White 'strobe' light for 1/4 sec. Navigation Lights - RED and GREEN lights either end of your wingtips. Formation Lights - Luminous Strips Lets not forget that this is a machine of war and as such should not be 'lit' up like a christmas tree when engaging Targets of flying in hostile space. Apart from the AI being 'able' to get a better lock and track you (oh yes they can, i`ve trialled it), so can of course, the human being! Regards 'T'
  13. I can confirm today after telephoning a 3 AAC today, that there is NO AAM capability for British AH64D's (westfields). Infact, if you really wanna know, they pissed themselves laughing at the thought! The Japaneese trialed it and didnt like it, something to do with the mounts. "AH is predominately a CAS, Ground attack or recon assett and as such, like ground forces, prefers to operate under the blanket of Air Superiority." 'T'
  14. over-rated, like the Abris. Does a million things, fact is, you only need about 5 of them. Final Frontier? fill yer boots mate! You'll be there an awfull long time and at the end of it about 1% of the A-10C community will know what your on about. It takes up more pages in the manual than anything else, but dont let that stop the drive for excellence! +1 good luck! 'T'
  15. LCtrl and P to give power to ext lights.... now select what lights you want from the EXT light panel - RHS, by RH Buttcheek! 'T'
  16. get rid of the labels carney, then your 'in!' ;-) come pay us a visit sometime, Mustang 'll bring ya along. 'T'
  17. Yep, correct..............as far as i am aware!
  18. Grimes, any word on whether Panzertard has designs on the A-10C sim for Servman? Regards 'T'
  19. Hi mate. Another method of lowering potential waste of hugging the resources of components such as CPU, RAM and GPU on the server is to set everything to LOW. Our server has been serving DCS: A-10C since release, open to the public. Within 20 minutes, all slots are taken (i have limited to 14 at the minute). This happens every day. Thats a lot! So........set the resolution to 1024x768, set all of your settings to low, set your server to windowed, and be on the map view only. Bung up the pool list and the chat box and there you have it. I connect to my server (in a secret underground location - protected from damp of course) via Tight VNC (for Direct X compatability) and the only thing i have to physically do, is unpause the bloody thing. Thats right, unpause. Without someform of Servman or mon, i cannot set the sim to unpause automatically. This very small, but quite vital aspect of our server is really making things difficult, because we HAVE to log on and unpause it. The time frame between doing that is unset. Bah................... Server licence? Bah, get a grip peeps, its negligable! I have bought 2 extra licences for both of our servers (2 - one for the community and one for 74th closed Trg) and at 60 dollars a pop, i think it's completely worth it. Hell, id pay 3 x the amount! Steel Beasts anyone? - exactly! ;-) 'T'
  20. I love the Pro...............effin brilliant.
  21. Like i said earier, i never have a problem with the Vikhr's on Heli's, or even on a few fixed wing. But if you can't use it correclty as a weapons platform, well............. FACT: No A2A dedicated missiles for KA-50. What you want Aim9's or perhaps R73's? It simply not realisitc. if you want to make the Mod, then make it, chances are, you'll fly on your own with it. I am happy to 'teach' you how to use VIKHR's in the A2A role against rotar and fixed wing........wanna date? Regards 'T'
  22. you need :helpsmilie:
  23. =SE=Zoky: Ive never had a problem with Vikhr's in A2A mode. Go practice! 'T'
  24. To the OP: In short. Nope Use the SST software for some things, but my personal advice is to use the ingame options settings. However, there are some very usefull profiles out there. JackBaeur i think for one mapped all controls via SST software. In short. map what you need, not what you think you need. The ingame options mapping is fine for nearly all of it. I only have my speedbrakes mapped to SST. Happy to send you Profile. PM me your email. Regards 'T'
