  1. If your DCS Install is crashing BigNewy has posted the following to help get it resolved: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202214
  2. We can explain but it will be a spoiler for those who read this before trying the mission. However if you want to know the truth then read on...
  3. You can do the authentication once the pilot reaches the pickup-point but you don't have to authenticate him right away. You can do that after the threats are eliminated. Once you know the pilot has been downed you can order your wingmen to start engaging targets. Monitor the roadways to the pickup area and eliminate any threats while the downed pilot is proceeding to the pickup point. We found switching back and forth on the radio (between wingmen and the downed pilot) was a good way to see if he was still on the move while maintaining SA on your wingmen attacks. Then you can clean up any targets the wingmen didn't get. Once you are confident all the targets are eliminated, then do the authentication and if he passes then send in the choppers. Also you can use the practice mission to get a feel for the mission flow to help you pass the qual mission. Hopefully these tips can help you out.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. To play a specific mission you must open them in the Mission Editor (check the folder browser option and point at the campaign folder). Unfortunately there is no way to do that within the current campaign menu mechanism.
  5. That is weird. You should be able to open any of the campaign missions in the mission editor and play them as single missions. We just tried it and it worked fine for us. Please try a DCS Repair - that may correct it.
  6. First, make sure you switch to Guard frequency to hear that the pilot landed safely and is on the run to the pickup-point. If you have done that and still no luck then try it without Viacom. There have been reported issues with Viacom and JTACs in particular so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for other radio calls but it might have an impact.
  7. Try a DCS Repair as well. Another user reported a problem with shutdown but reported he was able to make it work so not sure what was going on in his last attempt. We are updating all the missions and will provide the ability to trigger the Shutdown Completed message via the F10 radio so there won't be any guessing.
  8. Did you turn off the battery? That is the indication that you have fully shutdown. If you did and it's still not registering please post a .trk file so we can review it. Others recently completed the campaign so we need to understand why it didn't work on your system.
  9. Did you turn off the battery? That is the indication that you are fully shutdown. If you did and it's still not registering please post a .trk file and we can review it. Others have recently completed the campaign so we need to see why it didn't work on your system. Thanks.
  10. That's a known game engine bug introduced in the last patch. You can follow the thread here. Hopefully ED fixes it soon or we won't be able to have any AI taxing to the runway.
  11. You found our easter egg! Well done!
  12. No sorry we are still updating the voice overs. We will post an update once we have everything ready and tested - it shouldn't be too much longer.
  13. If ED doesn't fix it in the next patch then we will see if we can workaround it.
  14. Seems to be a new game engine bug as reported here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=274121 If ED doesn't fix it in the next patch then we will see if we can workaround it.
  15. We have some updates planned with new voice overs so we will retest and see if we can correct it. Which version of DCS were you using when this happened?
  16. The practice missions are in-air starts very close to the range so you can get in the action right away. It's much more efficient than having to start the aircraft, taxi and fly to the range each time. It allows for a more rapid training experience focused on the engagements. You can still fly back to Nellis or any other airfield if you want after the engagements. The triggers are the same so where the original campaign is a more realistic full flight experience the practice missions are a great way to keep your fighting skills up when you have limited time. We heard from some users that were having problems locating the practice missions and having to play them from the Mission Editor so we put them in their own campaign. We added a skip mission capability too (via the F10 menu) so if you find one is too difficult or you don't need the training for it you can skip it and go to the next one. Let us know how this works out as we envision adding an Easy version so you don't have to fly against the expert AI if you find that too difficult.
  17. That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. We have never encountered that term in our research to date. You learn something new every day! :)
  18. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We will see what we can do to make the kneeboard pages more relevant for each mission with less back and forth flipping as you indicated. The altitude triggers may need some adjustment so we will retest and tweak as needed. We are not familiar with a one-over-the-world card and can't find a reference online. Can you provide an example so we can understand it better? We appreciate all input that makes the missions better while remaining in the realm of realism and immersion.
  19. Please indicate which version of DCS you are using and include a .trk file so we can investigate further. Others have recently completed the campaign so we need to understand why it's different on your system. Thanks.
  20. I don't believe ED back propagates fixes to older releases. You could uninstall and reinstall the campaign to see if it will provide the latest files. There is a new patch coming for 2.5.6 on May 20th which hopefully will fix alot of issues with the current release.
  21. Yes they are in the works. Waiting for ED Aggressor skins for the F-16C. Eventually we will have a formal Red Flag campaign to complete the series (and you will need the BFM and ACM experiences to be successful).
  22. As the others indicated start with BFM, then ACM and eventually we will have a formal Red Flag campaign to complete the series (and you will need the BFM and ACM experiences to be successful).
