  1. @Hippo ON FLEX means on the FLEX Departure route. Page 10 of the inflight guide describes the route and altitudes you should keep when on the route. For example below 3000 until past the race track then below 8000 while on FLEX until you intercept the 15 DME arc to turn south. Then you intercept the LSV R-267 radial at or about 10200 until you reach FYTTR. You should be at or above 14000 at FYTTR. Hope that helps.
  2. @Rudel_chw, It's not a huge increase to set expectations. If you already have problems with NTTR on the ramp then these changes won't help much. We went from a single digit slide show to high teens and twenties on startup (this is with the GTX780). Once airborne and away from Vegas frames were much better. Certainly an improvement but as been said many times - your mileage may vary. We also took the opportunity to update the models for the FA-18C, F-16C and F-14. Additionally we renamed our Saved Games DCS.openbeta folder and let it create a brand new one. This also resulted in some fps gains.
  3. - Those checklists can be a real pita especially if your FE is a :smartass:
  4. See this thread for an update. The manuals should be in: <disk drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\campaigns\FA-18C Aggressors BFM Campaign\Doc They are there on our test system so if missing from yours then un-install and re-install the campaign.
  5. We reviewed the missions and removed some of the non-flying units and replaced them with statics and got a very nice FPS bump on our old test system (running a GTX780). We still have some testing to do on our higher end rig but I expect we will have updates ready for all the campaigns by the next patch release.
  6. We reviewed our missions today and made some changes to some inactive and static units and FPS improved on our test system. We need to a little more time for testing but we should have an update available for the next patch release. We will port these updates to our other NTTR campaigns so they will also benefit.
  7. We agree and ED is working to correct the performance issues but it won't hurt for us to review our missions and see if we can get some performance improvements for some of the players with lower end systems. We won't compromise on the realism and immersive feeling the additional units add unless there is no other alternative. On our systems we also noticed a performance drop with the new update however performance is relative to system specifics and graphic choice settings. There will always be a trade-off between better performance or better looking graphics. Trying to find the sweet spot for any user's particular system is the challenge.
  8. ED has pushed another update today so please update as soon as you can. We are reviewing all the static, flying and ground units in the missions and plan to remove those that are not directly involved with the player when flying the mission.
  9. Yes, the default desert camo livery was changed so we will be updating our campaigns to use more suitable liveries soon.
  10. That's a reasonable request. We will look into it.
  11. It's the last mission so if you need to skip it then you are done.
  12. Yes, yes and yes! Please watch our blog for updates.
  13. Yes in the DCS Settings from the main menu. This would apply across all missions. There might still be a date restriction since the campaign is dated in 1988. According to BIGNEWY's post the restriction might get removed at some point.
  14. Sorry not sure. We have never tested with the NS430 with the F-5E but from what we found online it should work with the Nevada map. Here is the reference: https://steamcommunity.com/app/223750/discussions/0/1744478429677687945/ You could try selecting Unrestricted SAT/NAV in the Game Play options of the main menu. If you do get it to work, please post as I'm sure others would be interested.
  15. Have you tried the practice missions? They can help you get your skills to a level where you could pass the campaign mission with enough practice. If you still want to skip those missions you can manually set the campaign stage in your logbook file. If you don't have it, download and install Notepad++. This editor allows for proper editing of lua files. Make a backup copy before you do any manual editing just in case. This is an example for the BFT campaign but it's similar for any campaign. To change the campaign stage look for a file called: <Drive>:\Users\<your userid>\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\logbook.lua You can change the stage here: ["games"] = { [1] = <--- This is the campaign number in your set { ["created"] = "01/03/16 21:50:09", ["player"] = "Player Name", ["campaign"] = ".\\Mods\\aircraft\\A-10C\\Missions\\en\\Campaigns/A-10C - Basic Flight Training Qualification.cmp", <--- This is the campaign name ["status"] = "Active", ["history"] = { [1] = <--- This is the number of the first mission in the campaign and below is it's result { ["datetime"] = "01/03/16 21:52:16", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["stage"] = 1, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["mission"] = "A-10C - BFT Arrival.miz", }, -- end of [1] [2] = <--- Look for the highest number in the set - this will be the next mission to launch { ["stage"] = 13, <--- Change the stage to 1 more than the BFT mission number ["mission"] = "A-10C - BFT12 Low Level Flight Plan.miz", <--- Change the name of the mission }, -- end of [2] }, -- end of ["history"] }, -- end of [1] }, -- end of ["games"] Reply if you continue to have problems or you can email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com and we can help you out.
  16. You are right! There is no manual fuel dump for the A-10C. You have to burn off fuel if you need to lower it (or drop tanks if you have them). I've updated my post to correct that. I was thinking of the FA-18C at the time.
  17. Thanks for the detailed report. Not sure what happened at attempt 6 as the "You disconnected too soon" message was way later than when you actually disconnected at 12:12:00 as you indicated. Could be some other process was getting in the way so DCS was delayed in playing it's voice message. For attempt 7 it looks like the flags weren't cleared properly before the next attempt (likely because of the delayed disconnect message). Here is some background on the timings for the voice messages: We have a 10 sec delay between voice messages so when you hear the FE say something, he won't speak again until after 10 seconds (unless you disconnect). This is to stop the voice messages from running too closely together. These are mission generated messages as opposed to the game engine generated messages (the tanker responses) which we can't control the timing of. So for example 10 seconds after you hear "Just a little bit more...a little bit of stick and throttle..." then you will get the "There you go! Contact!" if you successfully connect within that 10 seconds or anytime later. Even if you connect 2 seconds after hearing that message you won't hear the "There you go! Contact!" message until the 10 seconds are up. Then if you are still connected after 10 seconds you will hear the "Well Done!" message. If you disconnect before that you will hear the disconnect message. Even after attempts 6 and 7 the next connection was SOP with respect to the timings as by then it looks like things had gotten caught up so the flags were set correctly. If the timings seem off best advice is to back off from the connection attempt and try again as you did. You can also burn off fuel between filings if you are getting too close to full. As you found the tanker will do an automatic disconnect when full so depending on where you are in the connect, feedback, disconnect loop it may result in not ideal comms. We will retest and play with some of the timings to see if we can improve the connect, feedback, disconnect loop.
  18. Looks like the triggers are not working for you the same as for others. I suggest a DCS Repair and/or uninstall and reinstall the campaign files. When triggers go wonky usually the repair or reinstall corrects them.
  19. Have you tried a DCS Repair, or uninstalled and reinstalled the campaign? When triggers start acting wonky we find a repair or reinstall usually corrects them. Does this happen in the practice mission or the campaign mission or both? You do need to stay connected for at least 10 seconds to count as a successful connection but if the voice prompts are not aligned with the actions then you would have to stay connected longer as the timer starts at the voice prompt. You should hear "Well Done!" when the 10 sec timer is done. When you hear that it will count as a successful connection. Post a .trk file and we can replay it to see if we can duplicate the behavior.
  20. Check your distance to the target. The LSS only works within a limited range. I can't recall the exact distance but try searching when closer to the target (within a few nautical miles). Once the laser is locked you can set a mark point so you know where the target is if you lose laser lock.
  21. Yes you do have to ensure all the identified targets are killed. So Target 1 (HQ units), Target 2 (Convoy units), and the gunship targets. If he says there are still targets remaining then one of the target sets didn't get completely destroyed. When you land the post flight BDA report will indicate which targets you missed. For check-out you have to leave through either ALPHA or CHARLIE waypoints as indicated on the flight plan diagram. There is also a practice mission which plays the same but has an in-air start close to the range so you can get a sense of the targets and practice your tactics, techniques and procedures before flying the final campaign mission. You can open it from the Mission Editor - it's located in the same folder as the campaign files. If you still have trouble please post a .trk file and we can review it.
  22. The FE will announce the end of the VUL period. If you still have targets remaining before the end of the VUL period you should hear: "You have two minutes left in your VUL period and there are still targets remaining." You need to kill all the identified targets (including relaying the information to the Gunship so it can do it's job). When you are cleared to RTB are you checking out of the range using the F10 menu?
  23. Sounds like you are not getting all the targets and or exiting the range at the wrong waypoint. Posting a .trk file would help figure that out. Have you tried sending your SPI targets to the wingmen before ordering them to engage? This is similar to TAC18. Unless something has changed recently they should attack targets when sent your SPI location. The FE should clear you for exiting the range once all the targets are destroyed but you need to exit at the appropriate waypoint as indicated in the flight plan. Others have recently passed it so it could be a trigger corruption so a DCS Repair might help if you are certain you got all the required targets.
  24. Glad you got that figured out! To play the practice missions open the Mission Editor and point the file browser at the folder that contains the campaign files. Typically it's this: <your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\campaigns\A-10C AAT You can choose the practice missions or play the campaign missions again.
