  1. We just retested in the latest 2.x update and found that the enemy will shoot alot of missiles but they didn't appear to be random. We were head on with the enemy at the time and it appeared they were engaging us. They didn't continually spam missiles through the mission either (the mission is setup with unlimited weapons for both sides). Our wingman did engage with both 'ENGAGE BANDIT' and 'COVER ME' radio instructions once they reported the Bandit contact. I know there have been alot of wonky AI related issues lately but I believe ED is fixing them. Try it again in the latest build and see what you get.
  2. With our campaigns moving to the ED store you now need ED keys to play them so our original keys are no longer valid. However, we are offering a full refund of your MFM purchase for the campaigns if you upgrade to the ED Store versions. A-10C BFT Campaign: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/a-10c_bft_campaign/ A-10C AAT Campaign: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/advanced_aircraft_training_qualification_campaign/ A-10C TTQ Campaign: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/a-10c_ttq_campaign/ The ED Store version is managed through the in game module manager so you don't have to worry about any mission keys and future updates are delivered automatically with the DCS updates. You can read about the refund program here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=162990 With the frequent ED Store sales you can usually get the campaign at the same original cost so it would be a free upgrade to the ED store version.
  3. A score of 100 would mean you flew correctly and would equate to a Q or Qual rating which is a pass. A score of 75 would mean you hit some trigger (likely the above glidepath indication) but it wasn't significant enough to fail so you would rate a Q - or Qual Minus rating which is also a pass. A score of 50 would mean you hit some trigger that was beyond the Q or Q Minus limits (like breaking the Hard Deck). This would rate a U or Unsatisfactory and you would have to fly the mission again to pass.
  4. There is a really good tutorial done by Warrior X here. Once you get Bullseye displayed on the offset page then put in the range and bearing and then create the new waypoint and record the number created. Then switch back to the waypoint page and bring it up and enter the DTOT, elevation, etc. As a cheat you can view the location of the vehicles on the F10 map view and fly to them as the zones are located with the vehicles.
  5. Yes the shutdown script is only checking to see if it's still on so turning it off prior to shutdown should ensure it's not set (unless there is a game engine bug). If it keeps happening I recommend opening a support ticket with ED since there is nothing we can do in the mission script itself.
  6. That's a good question for ED. Baltic Dragon is working on a A-10C campaign for the NTTR map which may give you what you want. You can read his thread here. For help with training there is the flight manual (obviously) but also these training missions (under Training) in the main game menu:
  7. Usually folks get fooled by the switch position so just confirm your setting looks like the attached: ILS OFF: ILS ON: Also attached is an ILS test mission you can use to confirm the operation of the ILS switch on your system (it's the same test used in the missions). Let us know if you continue to have problems and we will investigate further. ILS Test.miz
  8. We do state in the campaign description (and highly recommend) that you read the DCS A-10C Flight Manual before trying our qualification campaigns. They are designed for users with some experience but the practice missions also help prepare the user for the qualification campaign missions. Baltic Dragon is working on a detailed A-10C training campaign that should offer what you are looking for. His thread is here.
  9. Sorry you are having trouble. That's a known issue in the current 1.5.8 release. The mission is playable but you need to fly 500' lower than the altitude given by the FE. For example if they say fly 6000' try flying at 5500'. ED made changes to the altitude calculations for the 2.5 Caucasus map and those changes were deployed to the 1.5.8 release. We are updating all the missions to use the new altitude values and should have it available for the next patch update.

  11. Your video looked correct (everything powered and right frequency). Testing in 1.5.8 (including the OpenBeta) we were able to contact Batumi using the HOTAS Mic Switch Forward command of L-ALT NUMPAD + (see screenshot). This was with just the APU started and APU Generator switch to ON (before engine start so we could request engine start). We could also request taxi and ATC responded. Check your control mappings and see if it is replicating the L-ALT NUMPAD + key sequence properly.
  12. There are two groups of tanks to attack. The mission will still pass if you kill the targets yourself or with your wingmen. When you IR Pointed the first target did you hear the pilot say "RAY TARGET", your TGP has to be the SOI when targeting. If you did, did you hear the AC-130 say "COLT 1-1, ENFIELD 2-1, TALLY TARGETS!" then "ENFIELD 2-1, ENGAGING GROUND TARGETS!" and then they should engage. The AI takeoff issue had occurred earlier but I don't recall seeing it in the 1.5.8 release - you might want to update now.
  13. Yes we are not sure why ED removed the capability to change dirs from the Mission menu, however you can still open them in the Mission Editor and launch them that way too. Please post or email if you have other questions or any issues.
  14. Someone else reported the same issue in a different campaign - AI aircraft not landing so I think its a known problem. You can manually skip the mission by editing your logbook with instructions in this post (it's for a different campaign but the procedure is similar). Or you could roll back to the previous version until ED pushes a patch fix.
  15. That's really strange. Not sure why you are not hearing from the ATC. Any comms MODs that might be interfering? Try a DCS Repair and see if that corrects the issue. We have been testing updates in 1.5.8 and haven't seen that problem.
  16. What color is the comms when asking for Batumi? Is it white or black?
  17. When you transmit do you see the comms menu come up on the right side of the screen? It could be a mapping issue with your controller. How do you have it currently mapped?
  18. The AC-130 engagement is scripted so I would confirm you are looking at the correct targets (also watch out for the altitude block as indicated in the briefing). You don't want to risk a mid-air with the gunship. Once the AC-130 gets the tasking you should see numerous explosions from their weapons systems at the target area.
  19. Yes until we can get the updates pushed out.
  20. There were changes made in the latest release that cause the altitude triggers to fail. If you fly 500' lower than the FE advises then you will hit the triggers properly. So if he says fly at 6000' try 5500'. We are updating all the missions with new altitude trigger values to accept the new changes.
  21. Sounds like they have the bug fixed internally so it should be deployed in the next patch update. You can skip missions by manually editing the logbook as detailed in this post. It's for the BFT campaign but the instructions are similar for all campaigns.
  22. We have been actively testing and updating all the campaigns for the 2.5 release. We can't guarantee a bug won't sneak in at the last moment but we are working hard to ensure the missions play as expected when the 2.5 release comes out.
  23. Just retested the TAC18 mission and it played as expected. Please review your flight and compare it to the Recon Stewart video. That should provide some clues what to do to pass the mission.
  24. Make sure you are transmitting over the correct radio. The A-10C has 3 radios AM, FM and UHF. We usually use the AM Radio for ATC, UHF for other flights and FM for JTACs.
  25. We retested the TAC14 mission and didn't have a problem hearing from the FE however we did determine that it is currently broken by a game engine bug with the helo medevac as reported here. They land for the pick-up but never egress and if you kill all the targets they don't get destroyed either. They just remain at the pick-up point. Hopefully ED can fix this soon, if not we will consider some kind of workaround to ensure the mission completes as expected. If you want to play it roll back to a previous version or skip and play it later once the game engine bug is fixed.
