  1. When you hear that look right and you should see your wingman in close formation with you. SADDLED—Informative call from wingman or element indicating the return to briefed formation position. HOLDING HANDS—Aircraft in visual formation.
  2. This thread can help explain it but it's basically due to magnetic variation. When in the cockpit and at the indicated coordinates you will be close to the NAV point even though looking at the heading from the map perspective it seems off.
  3. Thanks Beach! Yes all our Caucasus campaigns have bee updated but please report if you encounter any issues.
  4. You finally got him! Good job. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201496
  5. We have done some limited testing in 2.5 for these campaigns. It appears the heavy use of multiple units at Nellis still impacts FPS but once airborne the FPS jumps up dramatically (this is in VR as well). The triggers appear to be working as expected but we did notice in the ACM campaign that the AI are launching more AA missiles than before. It could be just the type of engagement we were testing though. Some users are reporting that their logbooks have reset with the update. I would expect you can edit the logbook using Notepad++ and adjust your campaign progress as you could previously.
  6. You can email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com and we will be happy to address any specific questions you have. If you study the diagrams you will see that INDIA is a Navigation point and is the rendezvous point for the engagements. Once you are close to INDIA you use the F-10 radio call "READY" to start the engagement. Also check out the Red Force In Flight Guide and Red Flag SPINS pdfs in the doc folder for additional information.
  7. We just replayed the BFT03 practice mission and it played ok. Will try the campaign mission later today but the trigger logic is the same so I expect it should be ok as well. Try a DCS Repair or un-install and re-install the campaign module through the module manager. Another user did that and it cleared the issue they were having with a different mission. If you are on the flight path and getting to the waypoints it should play as expected.
  8. We checked the trigger logic and though the UZI flight unit comms are at 127.5 the AFAC freq is at 124.0 - same as the Tactical Training Frequency you use to communicate with the FE. The reference in the Mission Briefing text is accurate as 124.0 is TAD 12 (Tactical Air Designation) 12 and that is listed for AFAC contact freq for UZI 1-1. Try 124.0 and see if that gets you a response.
  9. Have you tried the practice mission with the same result? The practice mission triggers are nearly identical. The parking zone covers the whole airfield so it shouldn't matter where you park. Make sure you turn off the battery to indicate the shutdown. If it's still not playing right and this is in 2.5 check to see if the briefing contains 'Mission Success Criteria'. We added that to all the 2.5 missions. You could also do a DCS Repair and uninstall and reinstall the campaign module through the module manager. We will retest again in case something changed after our last test before the release.
  10. It's 127.5 as per the mission data card. BTW - We added the mission data card and other mission data to the in game kneeboard for all the missions.
  11. Have you tried the practice mission with the same result? The practice mission triggers are nearly identical. 12. Nope that should all be sorted. Please report if you do find any issues. We did our best to test everything before the release but some bugs might still have slipped through.
  13. Not sure why it didn't work on your system. We just retested both the practice mission and campaign mission and had no problems. Make sure you see the new Mission Success Criteria section at the end of the briefing - we added that for the 2.5 missions. Please report back if you continue to have issues and we can investigate.
  14. We agree with you! However, it is up to ED to decide on which languages to translate the campaigns to. I expect they will do market analysis and review purchase data as well as review feedback like yours to decide what languages make sense from a business perspective. We would certainly support any initiatives to translate our campaigns into other languages.
  15. Greetings, With the release of 2.5 we took the opportunity to update the BFT Campaign structure to match the other campaigns we have in the series. Only the Qualification missions are in the Campaign now. The practice missions are no longer part of the campaign order (but are still included in the campaign package). To play the practice missions you can open them in the Mission Editor and using the file browser select the path where the campaign is stored: <your drive letter>:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\campaigns\A-10C - Basic Flight Training Qualification This is based on user feedback that indicated the majority preferred the campaign to just contain the qualification missions. We recommend you restart the campaign (to see the new beautiful Caucasus map) but if you want to maintain your current status you can manually update your logbook using the following instructions. If you have any questions or problems please email us at mapleflagmissions@gmail.com and we will be happy to assist. Thanks.
  16. Congrats! Yes we wanted the campaign to be hard enough that you feel you have earned the rating but not so hard that nobody would play it. We find the practice missions to be a great refresher too when we get stale working on other aircraft. Hopefully everything you learned will be applicable to all your future missions!
  17. Confirmed. The most recent game engine update has broken the campaign. None of the voice overs or triggers appear to be working in any of the missions. You can either roll back to a previous version or wait for the next patch update. EDIT: Looks like we spoke too soon. On our other test systems the campaign missions are working properly. Check the module manager to see if the campaign is listed. If so, reinstall it and that should update the files to the current version. We did that on the system we found that it was broken on and that corrected it. There was still an issue with the Arrival mission where the C-130 won't land at Nellis but we have a fix for the next patch update that will allow you to progress past that mission even if the C-130 never lands (future proofing it in case the AI gets broken again). Funny but that same C-130 Arrival mission played ok on another test machine we have. Could be MODS on the first machine that caused the issue on it.
  18. The same altitude issue is present in the Advanced campaign too - try flying at 7500' instead of 8000'. We have the fixes submitted to ED so hopefully the patch will come out soon. Practice, practice and more practice and eventually it will become second nature.
  19. Yes this issue has been a pita for us and everyone. We have developed a fix for the 2.5 release that works much better. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long until 2.5 is released.
  20. You have to wait for INS alignment - takes about 4 minutes. Try the interactive start-up mission and it will explain it.
  21. Well done! You do need to be mindful of the MOA boundaries. It's ok to orbit while waiting for coordinates to stay within the MOA. You can also orbit to increase your speed required to make the DTOT if the computed speed is too slow. We have made some changes for the 2.5 release which will allow you to use the F10 menu to bring back the coordinates if you miss them the first time around.
  22. Sorry you are having issues with this mission. All of the altitude triggers are impacted so for 8 fly 7500 for 10 fly 9500 for 12 fly 11500. We have updated all the missions and they tested ok with the new trigger values so just waiting for ED to get them into the next patch update.
  23. What Emuyen said. Maybe it's a subtle distinction but the mission is called Danger Close Tasking for a reason. There is plenty of dialogue during the mission talking about Tactical Risk Assessment so you do need to consider where your weapon lands in relation to friendly forces. Each of the targets has friendlies close to the enemy units ("Danger Close") so a misplaced maverick, bomb or poor gun pass and you will hear the dreaded "Blue on Blue". The mission only requires that the targets be eliminated without impacting the friendlies to pass. You can use the practice mission to figure out what works best.
  24. Sorry you are having trouble. That's a known issue in the current 1.5.8 release. The mission is playable but you need to fly 500' lower than the altitude given by the FE. For example if they say fly 6000' try flying at 5500'. ED made changes to the altitude calculations for the 2.5 Caucasus map and those changes were deployed to the 1.5.8 release. We are updating all the missions to use the new altitude values and should have it available for the next patch update.
  25. You will hear that when the target leaves the MOA before you kill it. Compare your flight to this video to see what is different. We are retesting and updating the missions for 2.5 so will make any adjustments if needed.
