Hey Mark, Did you end up getting the RS F18 grip work with the CM2 base? I got my CM2 in and getting ready to switch TM base to CM2 and use the TM Warthog stick with it for now. I bought a TM F-18 grip to go with it but had to send it back for full refund because of the no return to center weapon switch. I have the RS R3L and viper grip setup for the viper but if the RS F18 stick works with the Virpil CM2 base I may go this route. If it’s to much of a headache I don’t want to get into all that hassle tooo old for that.

Getting ready to switch TM base to CM2 base and use TM warthog stick. If I set everything up and calibrate in Virpil now and then add extension later will I have to recalibrate ? I just ordered today the 50 & 75mm ext. should of did this in the first order 2 weeks ago when I ordered the CM2 but wasn’t sure if I wanted to use any extensions.

I’m in the same boat about the extensions. My Virpil CM2 and all my Monstertech stuff has been delivered and ready to do the switch from TM base to Virpil. I did not get any extensions with this all this though and still thinking about it. I might have to mod my chair if I do as I like sitting close center stick with the Hornet and Tomcat.

Yes it’s in WMR general settings. Should be the same in wmr for Steam. That’s weird because I noticed alittle more sharper in the Tomcat and Viper.

I don’t do any mods but I have noticed sharper cockpits by selecting High Performance mode in the WMR settings. Try it and don’t forget to restart wmr after any changes applied. SOH said the same thing and I did notice it.

I was in a cold war server maxed out with 55 pilots/VR and my 3090 was pushing 16-18gb in areas with a lot of things going on with no issues stutters ect. For me now the more memory the card has I’m in … but that’s just me.

I’ve got in the F-5E and Egnimas Cold War server and man I love the F5. But the snapping of the wings needs to be fixed. I get that turning at a certain G but its still alittle on the fragile side. The F-5E is a great jet !

Totally agree it’s a tad few numbers off. It needs to go back in the hanger on the priority list.

Bummer ! The F-18 grip had a bad weapon select switch and wasn’t returning to center from the forward position and the aft was sometimes sticking also. Sending it back for a full refund. Now I’m scared to even get another one. I spent $329 + $35. Shipping and that was waaaaayy to expensive. My A10/viper stick will do for now.

I decided to return this F/A-18 grip Amazon Dealer ARF Tech for a full refund because of the weapon forward switch not returning to center, I maybe could of lived with it but it's to damn expensive to do so and not up to Thrustmaster quility. I will sneak a note in the box that the switch is a defect just in case they try to re-sale without repairing. I'll try again alittle later as I don't need this stick that bad. Not quit sure if its a certain batch of serial numbers that had that bad switches. Oh will ... carry on.

I just noticed my weapon select forward does not return to center … Dang !!!! So do I deal straight with Thrustmaster or Amazon/Dealer ? I’m just afraid that the Amazon/Dealer will send the next one in line and have to wait months for the return.

Yikes ! Okay I’ll get that process going but thats a shame. I bought it through Amazon so I don’t know if I should contact Thrustmaster or the Amazon Dealer. Do you work on these for customers or just for yourself.

Wow this is an awesome thread and wish Deadmeat was my neighbor. I have a question, I just got a new TM F-18 grip 2 days ago and noticed that the forward weapon position switch does not spring back to center. Will it through time spring back to center as it breaks in? Any advice ? Thanks

I just got my F-18 grip in yesterday looks new smells new and feels and looks new. I don’t understand what your saying sealed, as most YouTube unboxing videos the box doesn’t have a sealed sticker on it. My TM warthog Hotas box wasn’t sealed and my TM TPR pedals wasn’t sealed either so I don’t get that part in sealed.

Thanks Lucky, I decided to stick with Monstertech because of that reason. I just purchased the TM F-18 stick for this CM2 base I'm getting ready and excited for the F-15 Strike eagle. Thanks

My Virpil CM2 arrives on the 29th so yeah just because it’s says out of stock doesn’t mean along wait as said above. I have my TM Warthog stick turned slightly to the left like maybe 11:00 will I be able to do that with the Virpil CM2 base?

I didn't think it was able too do so but I will check. I'm talking about the missions that come with DCS. Definitely will check thanks.

Visited some old mission that E D gave us with the sim and noticed all the clouds were on the deck in most of them. Is it possible to redo the weather/cloud base? That really sucks for the new people getting into DCS having that issue. I had a blast with those missions starting out 2 years ago. thanks
