I’m concerned that your TM F18 stick is not gonna be able to last if your going for realism. Is it holding up with the R3L base.

When I was running my AW3420DW 34" Ultrawide on my other rig i7-9700K not overclocked and a 2080Super @ 120hz it ran just fine. I got out of the FPS number thing months ago and I think the 1080ti is a better gpu then the 2080Super. I also tested the monitor @ 85hz and saw no difference in performance between 120hz. The monitor has its own tweaks too so I dont think your gonna have any issues but if your more worried about a few fps numbers then thats gonna be an issue on your part. The 34" monitor and dcs is amazing.

That’s what I’m thinking of doing too. I may try to drop the power limit down by 10-20 % to see the difference.

96-100c with DCS seems to be the norm for the 3090. I use msi afterburner’s custom fan curve. Back when I was tweaking my settings that was the normal vram temps for me. I have also heard it was normal under load.

No issues here with the lastest DCS update and nvidia’s new driver. I don’t use any mod/shaders. Sometimes I forget to go to Nvidia Control Panel and reset the Performance to High Performance after updating the driver.

I have a friend that has the Q2 and he just got a G2 and said it was a huge improvement in clarity. -
Just a thought … maybe try clearing the cmos? Take the battery out on your motherboard and put it back in. Some MB’s have a reset button and some you have to jump. I just watched a YouTube video about this issue so I hope it might help.

I have always wondered that too. If I were to connect my monitor/120Hz as a hdmi as slower hz input and just use the display port for the G2.

Sorry to dodge your FoxTwo but I wasn’t telling people to spend $$$ on a 3090. I said I opted for a system with a 3090 because I demand it not DCS. I’m sure the 3080 and G2 combo works well.

I didn’t know msi/af had a vram section. I usually see 13-15 vram usage in DCS. This is why I opted for a 3090 for running VR/G2 it’s an absolute must imho.

Yeah it takes alittle time for sure but once your brain adapts to the VR scene it’s like a walk in the park. Little at a time.
