I did not want to make a permanent alteration. Again if you can show me where to find the case box it would be really appreciated. -
G940 Pedals to USB
ZQuickSilverZ replied to ZQuickSilverZ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
OK I now have the LBodnar cable. It works well with my G29 race pedals. I have a new problem however. I refuse to pay shipping that matches the cost of purchase for this jumper box. http://www.l-com.com/d-sub-plastic-pcb-jumper-box-db9-male-female What I am asking now is for assistance (I have already made an attempt) in finding an alternative jumper box. Hopefully with reasonable (I don't consider $11 shipping that l-com wants to charge me reasonable) shipping cost. The example shown in Reksi-Erkki's post would be a good solution. Any ideas where I could find something like that? I will post my success (or failure) on here for reference for anyone else that wants to try this. Help me help us :) -

G940 Pedals to USB
ZQuickSilverZ replied to ZQuickSilverZ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The diagram you posted was stated to be the G940. The Leobodnar cable is a bit different. For your comparison. Leobodnar Cable G940 Pedals See, they are different. Should I just go with this for the Pedals? If this does not work I will simply either use the cable with my G27 or sell it and get most of my money back. If it does work I will have found a verified solution to this issue. I will post my results either way. At this point what I need most is for someone to verify the "correct" wiring diagram. -
G940 Pedals to USB
ZQuickSilverZ replied to ZQuickSilverZ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I would like to clarify a few things and also ask for assistance. Please note this is the result of HOURS of online study. This product (listed below) is supposed to be a stand alone product for G27 (and other) racing pedals. I happen to have a G27 so that works great for me. http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=97&products_id=187 but.......................... My understanding is the G940 has a different wiring schematic. The Logitech G25/G27/DFGT/DFP or Generic Pedals Adapter wiring diagram VS. The Logitech G940 Rudder Pedal Wiring Diagram I thought about using this product to "correct" the wiring issue. http://www.l-com.com/d-sub-plastic-pcb-jumper-box-db9-male-female What I would like is some input by experienced people as to whether this is a viable solution. I would also like confirmation that the G940 wiring diagram I have posted is correct. The main advantage I see is that I do not have to make permanent modifications to the G940 Pedals and when I use the G27 pedals it is as simple as removing the jumper box. -

Thank you. Cable ordered. -
Can I use this to hook my G940 rudder pedals to USB. http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Modem-Serial-Adapter-ICUSB232FTN/dp/B008634VJY/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1464491821&sr=1-5&keywords=usb+to+db9+female Since my change over to X-55 (thanks to Logitech's sloppy work) I wish to use these as stand alone pedals. Right now I have 2 flight sticks on my desk and that is just not going to work.

Does this product just "work" with DCS or do you have to do a work around? If it does not just "work" is DCS or Tobii planning on making it so in the future? What kind of lag do you have with this hardware/software. I am think I may get this depending on the answers to these questions.

You sure about that? ################################################################ ################################################################ Not sure if Tango works for VEAO or not but the way he worded his post makes me believe he does. ################################################################ http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129630 We also plan for this module to include multiplayer front seat / back seat capability. We believe that this feature will add a new dimension of gameplay for this aircraft and several others like the UH-1H, Mi-8MTV2, Hawk, and C-101.

Not a video but I could not really find an appropriate thread for this interesting pic. What I find interesting about this is it demonstrates the usefulness of the Huey and transport helicopters in general given the depth of the water of the troop insertion/extraction point.

Can someone tell me how to use the bonus money? I have bought a product recently but did not know how to apply it. I was thinking of making another purchase and want to use it.
-
Well I can tell you this. If I cant find a pair of decent made, decent priced rudder pedals I may have to find another hobby for a while. I am not paying 400 dollars for plastic rudder pedals.................. The MFG's look good but I would like to know the total cost USD before I entertain ordering them.
-
I took a look at those after I saw your post. I would not buy those. The pedals are too close together. I can't see getting good rudder control with the pedals so close.
-
If they don't implement multi-crew in the Hawk that would be pretty upsetting considering it is a TRAINER aircraft........ I assume a lot of people bought it for that purpose. Not being able to train others in it would be a slap in the face.

I decided to go online and shop for rudder pedals. I am using the ones that came with the G940 and they are pretty terrible. It seems all the rudder pedals sold are "out of stock" on Amazon and Newegg. I have noticed a lot of Flight Gear lately being out of stock. This and the fact no one has stepped up and made another Force Feedback stick (since the awful discontinued G940) really concerns me. Are the controller companies abandoning us flight simmers? What is the deal?

I have repurchased Black Shark 2 as a stand alone product. This leaves me with a BS1 upgrade to BS2 not being used. If anyone can use this upgrade hit me up. I will need instructions on how to transfer ownership.

I have read remarks saying the Gazelle is "uncontrollable" or "twitchy". I have done a bit of self research and would like to respond with my findings. I found this airframe absolutely uncontrollable using a G940. Despite the fact I have no issue taking off and landing with the other helicopters (Ka-50, UH-1H, and Mi-8 ). I was not even able to get the Gazelle (SA-342M) off of the ground for more than about 15 seconds. I decided to test it with my Rhino X-55 and all of the sudden I was able to take off and fly straight and approach the landing pad with no difficulty. After some research I came across this. It seems they have not implemented force feedback. I assume this to be the issue. I would like to remind everyone this is an early release and to be understanding and patient. There is also the issue of trimming. This is a new type of trim system never seen in a DCS helo before. Please read the following quote from our friend at POLYCHOP.

Repair does not replace Throttle Safety Wire (WEP)

I am sold. I will try it. I get tired of TrackIR not working when I look down. Plus for me Track IR twitches a lot and gives me trouble when trying to flip switches and such. Besides I use a battery powered USB device attached to my headset to make my TrackIR wireless and that would cut down on the weight of an already heavy wireless headset.

I would like my name in the hat.

Same goes for me. Merry Christmas.

I surf the net using a virtual PC. I prefer to use a Windows virtual PC but there is a free option, Ubuntu. If the virtual PC gets infected who cares. I created it to be "disposable" anyway. FREE VIRTUAL MACHINE https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_workstation_player/12_0 FREE OPERATING SYSTEM http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop You're welcome. :)

I am using Windows 7. It starts the process and also 3 processes titled a10a_protect.exe, only 1 of which I can close. I have tried to update again and running the repair utility. Any advice? I mean besides a fresh install.

So how about it ED? Is this something that can be done? I would buy it.
