  1. Force feedback pedals?
  2. Congrats ebabil.
  3. “I REALLY want to go to Las Vegas” .
  4. Well first let me say this. Some of the airframes we are playing are early versions that have had a LOT of upgrades over the years. There is also the fact we are playing airframes from different eras. GPS might help level the playing field so to speak. I don't pretend to know what they stick in these upgraded airframes but I do know that GPS is EXTREMELY useful. It is not unheard of for military people to use "after market" products in war. As an example during the Iraq war some American families were sending "after market" body armor to the soldiers. Would a real life military pilot flying an older airframe with a non moving map system use GPS? I don't know. I only know I would find it very useful and it would add a lot to the playability. I imagine a real life pilot could really benefit as well. Reasons like you brought up (though not the specific one you brought up) is the reason I suggested implementing a "server disable".
  5. What do you guys think about having a product to provide aftermarket GPS to vehicles that don't have a moving map system. I am sure in real life people flying these birds TODAY use aftermarket GPS. The product could allow for server settings to disable it to enforce "period correct" capability. Any thoughts?
  6. I can teach you to fly the Ka50. If you like helo's I would recommend the Huey as well. I would wait till I had some practice before giving the HIP a go..... she has a heavy butt. Not saying HIP is a bad or uncontrollable airframe, I would just consider it more advanced (as in required skill to control) than the other 2 helo's. Opinions may vary.
  7. I was about to tell you thanks for the advice but all my helos were set up the same way. Then I decided to go check and make sure........... Turns out the bug was the person at the flight controls. Thank you for helping me fix this issue. I will not make THAT mistake again..........
  8. Platypus can you use the thumb button for trim and the pinky and thumb button for reset trim just to test it. Remember this issue only affects the Mi8. I can use two different buttons and it works just fine but I cannot use the same button with a modifier. By the way not only does it affect the helicopter in game....... it affects the screen where you set controls as well. If you hit reset trim the control settings page will not register the trim button until you hit reset trim again. I am sorry to see you are having trim issues but I am happy to see another say there IS a trim issue. Maybe now some progress will be made on this bug. All other choppers work fine. Looney watch the video and tell me what you think. Please note I am NOT on 1.5.
  9. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and I have having the same issue.
  10. I regret to say I am still having this issue. No other Helo is giving me this problem and they all share the same control setup for trimming. Belsimtek are you going to help me out with this? Your Huey works fine and this USED to work fine. I am using a Logitech G940 flight stick and rudders with a Saitek X-55 throttle. Belsimtek I would appreciate some feedback and maybe some support.
  11. So not one other person out there is having this issue? This only started since the last update. Before that the Hip trimmed perfectly.
  12. This issue started the last update. The Hip used to trim perfectly just like all the other helo airframes. I have further tested it. I use the same controls to trim and reset trim on all Helo's (Blackshark, Huey, and Hip) and the Hip is the only one affected by this bug. I have triple checked all controls to make sure that nothing is interfering. I am using a combo of G940 flight stick and pedals and X-55 throttle. I use the thumb button to set trim and the pinky (modifier) and thumb button to reset trim on the G940. I notice when I set reset trim to another button (not using a modifier) it works as it should. To clarify the issue I can trim over and over and I can hit reset trim over and over but once I hit reset trim it seems to turn my trim completely off until I hit reset trim again. I have confirmed that this is an issue using any button on the joystick (coupled with a modifier). I cannot use the same button I trim with for trim and reset trim (using a modifier for reset of course). But I can use 2 different buttons and it works as it should. Please help. I have included tracks for both the Ka-50 and the Hip. Notice when I bank then hit trim reset and return to center my trim no longer works when I start banking again in the Hip. When I hit reset trim and return to center the second time my trim starts to work again. Please note the "rapid fire" of the trim was done for demonstration purposes. This is not how I fly or a usual behavior of the trimming controls. HIP TRIM ISSUE.trk KA50 TRIM.trk
  13. Thank you for the idea but no, I have already checked that. Thank you.
  14. So not one other person is having this issue. I use a G940.
  15. I seem to be having a rather interesting issue after the update. Whenever I used reset trim on my force feedback stick it completely shuts off my trimming capability. Then when I use reset trim again it turns it back on. To clarify, if I hit reset trim I cannot trim again at all until I hit reset trim then regular trim works again. The Huey (also a Belsimtek product) does not seem to have this issue.
  16. I think the THRUSTMASTER T.Flight Hotas X Joystick is a better choice for an entry level stick for 2 reasons. The first reason is it actually has separate throttle and stick (it splits in two). This would make it easier to transition to a more advanced HOTAS later if the virtual pilot so chooses. Second it seems to carry a good rating. 64 percent of buyers gave it top rating on a certain popular online vendor. I think for the price the quality is very good.
  17. I to have the G940. Where to start...... first off when I trim a helicopter it "kicks" usually to the left. It never stays trimmed where I actually set it. And before you tell me that is how it works I have to say my MSFFB2 never did that. That is my only complaint for the stick. Now for the throttle. First off, none of the rotaries work. They spike like crazy if you so much as move the throttle. You don't even have to touch the rotaries themselves. Second both the 8 ways "back" (toward me) and down work about half the time. The 2 buttons on the side work half of the time. I have had no issues with the rudder pedals but they do not seem very precise. At this point I have bought an X-55 Rhino on e-bay described as used and working perfectly. My most likely set up will be to use the Rhino throttle and junk the G940 one and use the G940 stick.... unless the kicking starts to really bother me, then it will be "Rhino" throttle, MSFFB2 stick..... and I guess I will have to buy new rudder pedals since Logitech made the decision to use the stick as a hub for the G940 set. Overall I would say the G940 was a HUGE disappointment in every way possible that has caused no end of frustration while playing DCS. Buyer beware.
  18. I have never had avast cause any problems with DCS.
  19. I was thinking the same thing. 2.8 is about as far out as I try to hit anything and I prefer to get within 2.5.
  20. I had to change my password recently (on the DCS website) due to a hack attempt. I now cannot access online games. I have tried the reset password option but have yet to see an email. Is this an automated system? How long does it usually take? Thank you.
  21. Based on what?
  22. With all these fancy controllers why is it we can't get a simple controller for tank gunnery. :( The design has been around since the 80's....... I would even settle for this micro version.
