Be sure you provide separate sections for different software versions, like Lock-On 1.0 to 1.02, FC 1.1 to FC 1.12b. Keep the content sorted by the versions. Like JaboG32_ Laud wrote and I don't have a 'problem' with the web site. I put it online because some fellow modders expressed that it was a pity that simmod had gone offline, so I tried to bring that platform back. So your good mate had seen that site layout before and obviously didn't complain about it, because it wasn't changed while simmod was online. And as Grimes wrote, ... which is very likey to happen. If there is no reason for providing a specialized modders/skinners platform anymore, it will go away. But that is something the modders/skinners of the community have to decide.

On September 19, 2009, simmodders.org was put online. The website was aiming at re-establishing the well-known simmod website, which had gone off line before due to various reasons. The acceptance was moderate during the first months, and some of the known modders and skinners actually registered at simmodders.org. However, the site could not continue with the same impact and importance that simmod had shown previously. Simmodders.org was planned to serve as a hub for information exchange between the most talented and active modders and skinners and to serve as a focal point of information about work-in-progress (WIP) projects for Lock-On and DCS. In fact, there was no new posting during the last 6 months, and I doubt that the website will see any action in the future. So, unless the Lock-On / DCS community shows some substantial interest by utilizing the web site, it will go off the air at the end of the year. The web site not only offers a forum for information exchange between modders and skinners, including a hidden WIP section only accessible to dedicated members after approval, but also provides a Wikipedia, which is supposed to collect all technical solutions, modding advices and file explanations for Lock-On. Presently, it is filled with some data retrieved from the abandoned simmod web site. If you want to see simmodders.org online in 2011 and beyound, make use of it or it will vanish like simmod did before. http://www.simmodders.org/

They way Lock-On was programmed makes the simulation very heavy on the CPU, not that much on the video card. Later versions like Flaming Cliffs were a little less demanding, and it was not before the rise of the DCS series (with a new engine) that the CPU bottleneck was improved. Your system looks good, and 70 FPS is a good result. You may want to tune your settings concerning the ground environment / objects, which are the ones that drop your FPS. Also heat blur (exhaust effect) and heavy cloud settings may cause FPS drops. Try to avoid flying over cities, the number of ground objects are known frame killers.

Das sollte nach meiner Meinung reichen, wenn der Inhalt einer Webseite /eines Forums ohne Registrierung nicht gesehen werden kann. Eine Altersüberprüfung z.B. ob jemand schon 16 ist, halte ich praktisch auch für nicht durchführbar. Wie der Gesetzgeber bzw. Anwälte das sehen, weiß ich allerdings nicht. Wie gesagt, das ist meine persönliche Meinung, und ich bin kein Jurist.

For DL FC2, always the latest version will be available. The system requirements state the compability with XP, Vista, and Windows 7: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?scr=products&end_pos=135 So the Starforce version of the latest FC2 DL version is compatible with Win 7. You don't have to add or update a new Starfore driver then.

Locate in your FC2 installation directory the folder DOC and in it find the file lockon_fc2_gui_manual_en.pdf See page 18 for configuration of your input device. Be aware, that you have to configure every single aircraft with it's own settings, or copy the profile and safe it accordingly for each aircraft that you want to fly.

Modern-air-combat.de and the embedded CRT ist down for the moment, Google assessed it as an "Attacking Site" due to a malware script that was put online by a third party. I removed the malware, changed all PW and informed Google and stopbadware.org. for a re-check. Hopefully, it won't take long.

Lock-On FC2 ? Look into the temp folder of your Lock-On FC2 path. All flown missions will show up as track files there. Pages 38 and 126 of the GUI handbook (see folder doc in your Lock-On FC2 path)
