Very interesting observation. That's the reason why a lot of players choose to only practise weapons employment with AI opponents. If you want better enemies / wingman, fly at HL.

His hardware hardly will be the cause of that problem. If it was, he wouldn't be able to run Lock-On at all, not even in single player mode. It's a software prob, I'm pretty sure.

Alexis, have you tried other hosts yet ? I recommend to try Hyperlobby, just to see if it's a problem with the guy that provided the host function before. http://hyperfighter.sk/ It's a free service, providing several Lock-On servers of online squadrons / wings. Another reason for your problem might be that your Lock-On version is not compatible with that of your host. Example: If you have Lock-On 1.02 , and your host uses the add-on Flaming Cliffs (which is version 1.12a/b), you will not be able to join him.

Try using Winzip instead. Winzip features creating multiple-part archives (for use with old 1.44 MB floppies). Dunno if Winrar has a similar feature. Or upload to a free filehost server and just sent the link.

VJS 161 is setting up a F-15C Aerobatics Team. Training usually once a week on Wednesday evening about 8 PM Central European Time. We use Teamspeak for comms. The question was already answered on the official LockOn.ru page: There will be both a download and CD version. For both versions: * If you already have Flaming Cliffs, it will add all the 1.2 content. * If you don't have Flaming Cliffs, it will upgrade Lock On to 1.2 standard but it will not include the Su-25T and Flaming Cliffs missions and campaigns.

Well, I did'nt add static noise to the sample but will look at the ogg file again. Thanks for your hints (dunno what you are talking about with B-flat and stuff but will manipulate the sound apperance a bit). It does not sound exactly like the original launch sound yet but I think I can tune it somewhat better...

You would have to change the source code to do that. For the time being, there is only one sound file for all missile types. :(

IRL yes, but again it can not be done in LO/FC, because AFAIK there is no way of ordering a radar station to turn off and on the radar transmitter. Once it's on, it's on.
