This new method worked for me straight away - i was initially in lowercase and went CAPS and it worked. I have two further question sif I may: 1. How do you navigate to the Target Point like you would WINC through wapoints and nav to them? 2. How do you slave you tpod to the target point (so you are already looking at the target point through your tpod before you get on station for example?) KR, Crumble

Is there a mission editor weather guide updated on 2.8? I can’t seem to see much difference between weather in 2.8 v 2.7. Even with brand new miz files I can’t see how the rain is only in random sections for example or the clouds move in different layers? have tried a fresh install etc. Also for the majority of presets the cloud layers don’t necessarily match the description and changing the cloud base doesn’t always change the cloud base. It must be a user issue in the ME I’m sure - have we got a guide?

Dynamic Weather in ME
HR-Crumble replied to SmeagleGoneWild's topic in Weather System Bugs & Problems
I haven’t seen any difference in any of the 2.8 weather versus 2.7…. -
Thats brilliant thank you very much for the reply - that makes sense as I’ve been away from the harrier for a few months. So no need for a throw T00 point just #TP1, #TP2, #TP3 etc
-
Hi all, I cannot get the harrier to load targets from f10 map naymore. have tried a blank initial markpoint and then T01 and T02 and back to cockpit and the RShift+RAlt+8 and no load. Have also tried initial markpoint as T00. Has the procedure changed?

AGM-65L unable to uncage after first launch
HR-Crumble replied to Kappa's topic in Problems and Bugs
This issue still persists in 2.8 latest beta. -
Hi Harrier pilots - is there a way to have threat rings or add marks points from ME so that the EHSD can have a location marker showing a threat?

Creating waypoint offsets in the Mission Editor (Rework)
HR-Crumble replied to Zeus67's topic in AV-8B N/A
Hi Zeus - what do these WP offsets do? can you use them to mark Sam sites and threat areas etc? -
Hi Razbam, Come across something I’ve only experienced since 2.8 in that the Harrier when you start to taxi forward immediately the fuel pumps shut off and the engine shuts down. These are my parameters: 100% fuel auto start or manual cold start or hot started on land and on the ship Double bindings checked Any thoughts?

AV-8B NA and the AGM-65 Maverick: Updated Procedures and Limitations

Here is an excerpt from an official DOD document on the 65E - note the section pertaining to the designator can be the launch aircraft. Under Functional Description. Sent from my IN2013 using Tapatalk -
AV-8B NA and the AGM-65 Maverick: Updated Procedures and Limitations
HR-Crumble replied to Zeus67's topic in AV-8B N/A
Some great info there thanks! I don't have evidence specific to the Harrier firing an E in self lase mode but I have an AGM-65E document stating it's able to be lased by the firing aircraft itself and it discusses being used on the F/A-18C and AV-8B N/A. Sent from my IN2013 using Tapatalk -

So how come the 65E self lase was removed? Is it specific to Harrier software as to why because IRL you can self lase from a tpod on the E. Sent from my IN2013 using Tapatalk -
The point on the ground still remains the same and you still have to fly to the BFL and CCRP being auto has wind correction in it to some degree. All its doing is aligning the symbology for you in the HUD, you still have to line up etc. I have certainly never ever seen impact accuracy affected.

Hey man no it's it's the wind - some good tips from the posters below. Essentially you're going to have to fly your jet to the wind or another simple way to make it easier is to flick up the DRIFT C/O switch on the icp which will align everything again and you'll find it easier to fly the wind then. Can we see if each steerpoint/target/spi is in the LAR before we employ? Sent from my IN2013 using Tapatalk
-
When you're setting up pre planned steerpoints on top of targets how far apart can you place the targets before you can't immediately change the steerpoint pickle change pickle change etc. In the GR video he has three targets close together and immediately pickles each jdam one after each other. These targets are close together though. How far apart before you would have to wait to pickle on the next steerpoint/target? Sent from my IN2013 using Tapatalk

Hey guys, I'm new to world of SC. I only purchased it to help with mission editing for our new Hornet squadron in our virtual wing. Could someone help me with a DM about the best way to setup SC in mission editor to launch day 2x 4 flights of hornets. Last mission we had a problem of launching and recovering our hornets. Everyone has SC and said it used to work pre 2.7 but I've got no reference as I'm a Viper guy. Looking to start cold on the boat in parking or the equivalent of ramp starting at an airbase cold. Cheers!

@BIGNEWY here are the logs. For some reason when it crashes at the "Mission Load Done" section it hangs and when you ctrl + alt + delete and go task manager you cant select DCS or any other app to close it just goes straight back to the DCS mission load screen and crashes. Only way out for me is to Log out via the ctrl + alt +delete option. Also because of this .crash reports don't seem to be generated just log zip files? Unless you can see within the zips the crash files also? That's over to you sir! Ive also done some further investigation for you. Ive tested this on PG, SY and CC maps. The crashes always happen without fail when you edit a mission and go fly...THEN come out of the misison in order to quickly change something and quit to mission editor, make your change then press go fly again and boom it hangs and crashes as above at the "Mission Load Done" section. If I'm missing anything or you need more info please DM and I'll send. Hope this helps. dcs.log-20210419-185652.zip dcs.log-20210419-190140.zip dcs.log-20210418-110735.zip dcs.log-20210418-111255.zip dcs.log-20210418-114538.zip dcs.log-20210419-185400.zip

No probs will add the logs in tomorrow when I'm back in the sim. FYI I'm not running any mods, and I've done a repair of DCS and cleared out the shaders folders as per usual. The majority of crashes seem to come from going out of the ME and then straight into flying the mission. Have tried a different mission in case it was the one I'm working on and it was a case of it being a bugged miz file.

What is going on? Crashes from mission editor after you save and go fly. Crashes when you load single player missions. Crashes trying to get into MP section. Crashes just trying to open game from desktop. Nothing has been changed on my PC either SW, updates or HW and nothing has changed in DCS since 256. I've double checked no mods installed and apart discord in the background which is what I had running on 2.5.6 anyways. Is it something I'm doing or is 2.7 more resource heavy and my system can't handle it? Hoping for a hotfix...

Okay that makes sense to me. Thanks for the info
