  1. Anytime anyone asks about fixes to the current game it is met with the "ED is concentrating only on the Ka-50" mantra. I've never seen anyone post that the radar missiles will be fixed. Plus the fact that rumors that BS will be standalone have never been officially denied. If I've missed a post confirming a radar missile fix, please point it out.
  2. Where did you get that information?
  3. So you're not saying it acquires to easily but it acquires things it shouldn't at all. It used to be that both ARMs had a very, very wide feld of vision but when it was reduced, I did some testing and it didn't seem so unbelievable. Maybe more testing is needed. Have you done any? That statement is entirely dependent upon launch range. A maddog at 7nm or closer shouldn't be much different from a guided shot as long as the launcher gives the missile a decent initial lead angle. And also a maddog from farther can be just as lethal as a guided shot depending on the maneuvering of the target.
  4. Looks great. Needs a decal upgrade through. :)
  5. You base that on what?
  6. I've seen some much better transonic vapes from the F-22. They were low res though.
  7. It doesn't sound biased. It really is kinda boring. Seeing the thrust vectoring is nice but all in all... But it wasn't built to show off at airshows. I wonder if any ATC was able to pick it up on radar. :D
  8. Not every advantage. The F-15 radar is superior. The F-15 can carry the most fuel. The F-15 can identify its threats. (NCTR) The F-15 gives a much clearer picture on its TEWS display to build SA. The TEWS won't get flooded by a closeby friendly radar emitter. The F-15 can carry more Active missiles than the MiG and of course the Su can't at all. The F-15 is faster than the Su but left in the dust by the MiG. But the main point is that radar missiles for ALL planes were broken by the chaff patch. Plus the ER's velocity was increased. THAT (the combination of the two) is the difference. And I would like to see the data that ED used to base those decisions on. Maybe EvilBivol can find out?
  9. I just ran some tests in 1.02 and the 120 does Mach 3.48 and both the ER and R-77 do Mach 3.5.
  10. What thickness of armor can it pierce? The point he made was very broad.
  11. Cool T have you flown the MiG or Su online?
  12. What have they got to better the GAU-8?
  13. Check your PMs.
  14. Don't be so sure. I don't want to provide a total spoiler so at least try what I suggested. Or not. It's up to you.
  15. Try using the backup system for the system that fails.
  16. Yep, that mission is pretty hard. I found it best to hurry over to the yacht because it goes pretty straight and steady until it gets to the bay. It still took me several tries. The Yakutat Mail Run is very challenging too. I'd never used that ILS system before so I was kinda lost. Flying blind in an unfamiliar bird with engine problems is not easy. :joystick: I love how the co-pilot says, "These engines sound funny to you?" You immediately go, Oh, sh**t, here it comes.
  17. That 120s only reach Mach 3.2, ERs reach Mach 3.96 and R-77s reach Mach 3.5 when they are all listed as Mach 3 missiles in the LOMAC encyclopedia?
  18. Either we've been reading different forums or that is a large leap in logic. You assume that anyone who posts that they have no interest in buying BS unless fixes to the current sim are included to be "interested exclusively in the F-15 and how well it's modelled." Start making sense and I'll stop calling you out. And yes, you've given very good reasons why you expect to see more posts here about Western gear. Another, although you may have mentioned it earlier, is that detailed info on the Russian systems are likely written in a language few of us understand. It only stands to reason that US planes be given more attention in an English language forum. But that in no way reflects any desire for the Russian equipment to be ignored.
  19. Zipped? Are the mission files going to be that much bigger? (without audio/video briefings) edit: anything about post-mission log files?
  20. I think it's Alt-I. I've had it on my joystick for a long time though. Alt-W is launch override, I think.
  21. lol Agreed. The reflectiveness looks great on a B-29 but it's like they never heard of non-reflective paint.
  22. EB, time permitting, could you give us a translation of anything that is not already common knowledge here that is in this thread? http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=12468 There are a lot of Dev posts and I just don't put much faith in babelfish.
  23. Which is irrelevant in regards to your comment. Name one. Or perhaps you exaggerate again. Yes, there have. With a few exceptions, they are not unfounded. Why do you think there was a sticky here about an F-15 wishlist and not one for the Su's or MiG?
  24. Yep, the Red Bull course is fun. That plane is responsive as hell. The touch-and-go is the hardest part for me. The flight models in FSX are still pretty weak, even for the big iron. FS11 needs to concentrate on FM and ATC, IMO. But you can't ignore that eyecandy sells. Speaking of graphics, anybody here tried Flight Environment X yet?
  25. Please provide a link to support that statement. Or even hints at supporting that statement. To my knowledge, there has NEVER been any request or support for a dedicated F-15 sim. It is unsettling to hear that statement from someone even unofficially representing ED. Somehow the people pointing out the flaws in the F-15 modeling are singled out.
