  1. This is a substitute for a report given to me by a friend of mine, and was translated from Japanese using a translation tool, so please forgive me if there are inappropriate parts in the text. The report is as follows. The R-77's RCS is probably too large in the current version, causing the AIM-120 and SD-10 to bite the R-77. This phenomenon occurs with high probability when the intermediate guidance is cut off or interrupted in the middle. This phenomenon does not occur when the intermediate guidance is performed to the end or when the guidance is performed to PITBULL. All of the Track file and Tacview file shown here were made when the intermediate induction was cut off in the middle of STT (except for "R-77_JF-17_2" below). There is a possibility that SD-10 of JF-17 will bite even if it is guided to PITBULL (see "R-77_JF-17_2"). See below for a description of R-77's RCS DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Database\Weapons\missiles_data.lua Name = P_77, --R-77 Reflection = 0.15, For reference, R-27ER's RCS is described as "Reflection = 0.08,". 2. While the J-11B is China's own modification of the J-11A, the Su-30MK2 is Russia's official upgrade of the Su-30MKK.
  3. On the other hand, there are plenty of advantages for DEKA to develop the Q-5. DEKA's wonderful JF-17 module is an aircraft with very few analog instruments, and conversely, the Q-5 is almost entirely made up of analog instruments. What I'm trying to say is that experiencing an analog instrument airframe with the Q-5 is a good experience for building an airframe with both analog instruments and MFD like the Su-30MKK and other airframes. One option would be to realize the development of Su-30MKK as the culmination of those experiences. However, DEKA is not a volunteer organization, but a respectable company. I believe that their top priority is to earn a good living and to have enough funds to develop. I will respect whatever option they choose as long as it is for the sake of their satisfactory development environment.
  4. In operations on the carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, the Su-33 can equip refueling pods to refuel other operational aircraft. Since the player cannot operate the refueling pod in DCS, how about adding an AI Su-33 (Su-33 Tanker) equipped with a refueling pod?
  5. DCS is a valuable flight simulator that allows you to fight with modern jet fighters. However, the current situation is that most of the jets are fourth-generation jets from the Blue side, and there are very few aircraft from the Red side, which is a great shame. There is no doubt that what is needed now is a fourth generation jet fighter from the Red side. The Su-30MKK will definitely be the fighter that can meet those demands. It is true that the Q-5 is a well-known Chinese aircraft, and I understand that there is a certain demand for it. However, I suspect that the Su-30MKK will be the preferred choice in this simulation, where the majority of players fly aircraft like the F/A-18C and F-16CM. I think realizing the development of the Su-30MKK will bring DEKA more development funds, and the Q-5 may be a good challenge then. Personally, I'm also interested in the H-6. The first large aircraft in the DCS...
  6. I don't know much about the CM-400AKG, is that a Sea Skimmer missile? Or does it loft?
  7. I was surprised to see Su-30MKK as a candidate for the project. I would love to see them take on this challenge, even if it takes some time...
  8. When I heard that this problem had finally been fixed, I immediately got on board the MiG-21bis. What a great thing, no FPS drop at all, and the radar works well. Of course, it shows up well on the ground clutter. I really respect the great efforts of the developers over this long period of time.
  9. Of course, we make use of user skins. But for me, it's still not enough. But I don't have the talent to make skins...
  10. Currently there are not many JF-17 skins available. In particular, there is only one skin for Jeff's biggest customer, the Pakistan Air Force. Are there any plans to add new skins soon?
  11. I reported this in the JF-17 bug reporting thread, but I'll report it here as an AI bug as well. Shortly after the JF-17 AI fires the CM-802AKG, the missile explodes and the aircraft crashes. If the player fires the missile, it is fine, but if the AI fires it, it will certainly self-destruct. Based on the bug reporting process, I will attach .trk file and .log file to prove it. If there is anything insufficient I can submit it immediately. CM802AKG_Test_20201014.log CM802AKG_TEST_20201014.trk

  13. Is this only included in the LAU-117?
  14. Is this... Is this a spec...? When I first saw this, I was so amazed.
  15. I respect the effort. It was a great relief to me to know that the F-14A project is definitely underway. I truly respect your efforts. As for that F-14A, is it only the US Navy's that will be released in October? And am I correct in recognizing that this is a recreation of the period when the Globe Vane was shut down?
  16. I've heard that the F-14B has GBU-31 JDAM operational capability, does Heatblur plan to add this capability to the DCS F-14B? If that were to happen, would it be dropable by JESTER AI?
  17. I was starting up my JF-17 on ground power without starting the engine and all of a sudden the pilot started to run out of oxygen and the pilot blacked out with no resolution after reconnecting the oxygen system and starting the engine. I have no idea what happened... I am certain that the oxygen system was connected and the valve was open. The canopy was closed.
  18. That's for sure. Even though the DCS F-16 can't use HARPOON, it's still a cool thing to do.
  19. JF-17's TGP can lock from within about 22 nm.
  20. I don't think very highly of the Chinese government, but that doesn't mean I don't like the Chinese. Rather, they are important creators of the present and future. They are human beings too, and the question of quality depends on the individual. As a Japanese, I understand that very well. I don't need for DCS developer the aircraft in the simulator to be Frankenstein. However, JF is in a transitional stage to be completed. In the meantime, they are trying to replicate the real thing with a series of functional upgrades. We need to make reasonable compromises for their efforts, don't we? What's more is that ED has been developing current aircraft like the Viper and the Hornet that stick to a certain era. That creates a difference in the age of each plane, and as a result the argument is made that JF is OP. If it's an existing aircraft then it should be recreating that up-to-date situation or telling all developers to adapt to a specific age, but it's clearly ED that is failing to do so, and DEKA is doing a good job with that situation. It's not only China and DEKA issues. I will continue to love the JF-17 in DCS as long as its quality doesn't diminish. Love from Japan to the developer.
  21. This is true for other aircraft as well... Training rounds make this sim even more awesome.
  22. They said on Facebook that they were temporarily substituting the ED model.
  23. Am I correct in recognizing that the original 3D model has already been produced separately?
  24. To the Japanese, the Zero fighter is both a source of pride and sadness. I am in favor of adding the A6M to the DCS, but as a Japanese, I can't agree with it if it is used by the "Kamikaze", even if it is the DCS.
  25. As I try to play the take-off mission, two AI F/A-18C crash onto the runway. Probably because the start altitude is too low. Maybe this is an issue that is happening with the entire mission editor. I've seen several examples of broken missions after the latest update.
