Trackir is very much supported. It should work (capture motion) before the sim is even started. Have you checked to ensure the Trackir is available in axis?

Looking forward to the smoke smoke trails, just need an F4 Phantom to go along with it..

I was playing Arma 3 last night and had a question about a command..Alt-F4 was the response..I totally forgot about that one and of course, fell for it..

I'll have to give it a whirl then. Thanks -
From what I've read, the 29's do, but I'll have to wait until I get back to work to confirm.

To put it in perspective, I've been been flying the Hog and Hokum since they came out and I'm still learning something almost every time I go up. The flight manuals are 100's of pages long, and required reading.the P-51 is a basic WW II prop plane, not much studying of the flight manual required, but to fly it properly without trashing the engine and being combat effective with it takes a lot of practise. I don't have the Huey yet (probably wont get it, who knows). Hope this helps. -
With the newer DCS aircraft, they obviously recognize different pedal axis and have the ability to set them ingame for left and right, but would it be that hard to update this for FC3 or SFM aircraft? I don't mind having to start up and load a saitek profile for my pedals if needed, but it would be a lot easier to just set them in game like the A10 or P51 etc. To get them working as a linear input would be great, instead of simply on/off without some magical saitek programming, and without having to close the profile to negate possible input conflicts when switching aircraft..that would be nice.

I repaired and it added it. I then reinstalled my mods and it disappeared again. Another repair and it stayed after the mods went back in..strange..

I did check Germany, only Tornado, F4, C-130, Mig and one other I believe. I didn't find the FW under any country. I'll update today and post a screenie of German planes that I can select if it doesn't show up.

After getting sorted with my newest son (3 weeks old tomorrow) I've been slowly getting back into DCS, specifically P-51 at the moment. I read the FW-190 is now available for as an AI opponent, but for the life of me, cannot find it in the ME. Is it gone again until made a flyable? Running current build except 2nd Aug patch (computer not on yet)..

How about a new test for 1.2.5? -
How to remove or tone down irritating muzzle flashes?

Not very realistic, when firing the OA GDF-005 AD cannon, after about a 2 second burst you couldn't see a thing until the smoke cleared after a few seconds. Personal experience. -
Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Spetz replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Same, don't see it on DCS user files either.. EDIT *** Weird..now it's showing up at the bottom of post 1. Thanks!! -
I use "binoculars". After reading A10's over Kosovo, where almost every Hog pilot used 8x or 12x gyro stabilized bino's to look for targets, I didn't feel like it was cheating to zoom in when searching. I simply establish an orbit around the area I think a targets in, as sometimes indicated by the RWR, then zoom in using the " friction" lever on the Warthog HOTAS and I'm good to go.

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Spetz replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hope it all works out PeterP, hate flying the Hog with the default head positioning. -
If I remember correctly, once your APU is running and supplying power, the lights will work..
-
I did a repair and it worked fine. I think it was PeterP's proper neck angle mod that messed it up..Too bad, like that mod, hope it gets fixed for 1.2.4 if it actually was the issue.

Same here. Did full uninstall and install with new 1.2.4 files.

After completely giving up on refuel a long time ago with my x52 pro, this is how sorted myself out.. I first, finally, sprung for a warthog HOTAS. Unlike most here, I keep the curve at zero for both axis. I find that the stick is so sensitive, that little millimetre by millimetre adjustments around the centre zone are all I need to keep the A10 where I want it, after trimming of course. I deploy my air brakes a little bit and keep walking the throttle back and forth slightly to keep formation. I also started flying formation behind the tanker for a few minutes, getting the feel of it before committing. I've gone from not being to hook up once, to getting a full load with maybe 3 disconnects now in maybe 3 practice missions. I honestly think that the new HOTAS was the biggest factor for me..

Looking for one Mod for colored the front canopy...
Spetz replied to Skulleader's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks, will do. -
I actually never thought of seeing if Trackir or TS Would pick up a button input without actually assigning a key combo. Thank for the idea.

Looking for one Mod for colored the front canopy...
Spetz replied to Skulleader's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
While I applaud the modder who got this working, I found that the sun glare on the yellow windows when turning made them near impossible to look through. Anyone else have this issue? I have HDR set as normal. -
I'm very new to the Warthog, been a week now, but absolutely love it. Switching to this stick I lost my mapped Trackir recentre button and TS transmit key i had on my x52 pro. Is it possible to add one of those to the unused mic switch up without mapping all the other commands defaulted by DCSW? Either one, not picky.. I tried using target but found it messed up some in-game mappings when it switched from two controls to a single control when attempting to configure it.. Any ideas?

Just got my Warthog last night after flying saitek stuff for years. I honestly don't know why I didn't make the jump earlier. Direct plug and play into DCS and the smoothest stick I ever used. No slop, all button worked flawlessly and makes flying a joy. The only thing is the weight. I have to make a new mounting system for it that can support it. Highly recommend it.
