  1. Did you set the aircraft to client/player? Sounds like you set it to AI control to me.
  2. Thanks. Alt-tabbing works, so I'll just continue doing that until fixed.
  3. I just installed the newest 1.2 of DCS World, A10C and the patched Ka-50 after a full uninstall out the older 1.1.1.whatver versions. My problem is that 50% of the time the mouse won't activate the switch I am trying to use, in all the AC. The yellow crosshair is present, but when I mouse over the switch, nothing works (the green up/down, rotary..etc). The same thing when I start a mission with a few selectable flyables to pick from and try to pick what airframe I want to use. If I alt-tab out and back in, it works again 90% of the time, but occasionally won't recognize the switches again after a few minutes. This has only started since the new 1.2 versions. LAlt C works as it should, off and on for the mouse. EDIT ** I'm using a mission that I made in 1.1.1.whatver, perhaps that's the problem. Any other ideas?
  4. Looks very nice!
  5. It does work. It tried it with mine. I had to leave the quadrant attached to the yoke, but just made sure there were no axis set for the yoke, just throttle and rpm on the quadrant. I didn't like all the controls on my desk so set my x52pro slider as rpm and it works fine.
  6. Like I said, in my own opinion. If it is a joke, great. But if not, then, as stated, in my own opinion, a waste of resources. As for your statement about the AFM being "hashed" out before being available, perhaps that should be mentioned in the original post so as to avoid confusion. There is no talk about that in the original thread. I do apologize for the tone used in my other post, but I was a little peeved about it. We'll see what happens I guess.
  7. Honestly, why the f&^k would I want to control a train in DCS world? IMO that is a complete waste of resources.. And no AFM? If DCS really wanted to release it, you would find a way. Well, at this time you just lost some cash from this guy in regards to 3rd party mods. To bad.
  8. Is that the one going through the city? What a blast! .. I found keeping the airspeed 200-250 is best and I never touched the rudder pedals, just trimmed the rudder when I really, really needed it. I was throwing the Mustang all over the place that I didn't have time to really worry if it was all cleaned up or not..
  9. I've noticed this a few times, and a search didn't whow this.. A few times (perhaps all the time) when airborne, I notice that the flight indicator is always left wing down, even when trimmed straight and level. If I trim the indicator perfectly centred, I do a rather sharp right turn. If the flight indicator botched or is it inaccurate above certain altitudes. It made for a very interesting climb though the clouds on the long navigation mission in the campaign the other day..
  10. That's what that thing is!! Thanks! I turned the RWR on one flight and the light and buzzer went off on the ground and stayed on until about 500 AGL or so.. Was freaking me out cause I had no clue..
  11. I really hope LOCERF kicks off again, that was a great time. The first one I was in I flew MiG-25 Foxbat for a recce mission. I managed to avoid all hostile forces deep in enemy territory, "photograph" the enemy base and swing around to RTB, but my computer crashed about 100 nm from home base..That was a tense 45 minute flight at 50 - 100' altitude!! The 2nd one I lasted about 10 minutes before an AIM 120 embedded itself in my tail..

Jeebus...that explains alot now... HB old man!!
  13. I think now it's the trigger on my X52 Pro..seems to be getting intermittant..Time to start saving for a Warthog!
  14. Hmm..It'll be interesting when that lone Tunguska or Bradley makes it within range of your airbase..
  15. Some good reading there..Can we go to 74 inHg ??? I can't get past 60ish (what ever the redline is)
  16. I knew my 12 years in the Air Defence would finally pay off!! Great news ED !!! Way more than I expected!!
  17. Noticed this the other day. When firing the machine guns, when viewing from in-cockpit the smoke, sound and actual visible bullets is sporadic. It seems the .50's fire for a second or two, stop, and then fire again, over and over again. When viewing from F2 view, when firing, everything works just fine, fires until I release the trigger with no hick-ups. Anyone else have this? 18. I had that initial impression too, then started messing around with it. Granted, this is for FSX, not Prepar3D (Can't justify the cost). I found the best compromise was to use AS2012 weather engine with REX 2.0 OD for the textures. This combined with the ORBX NA products = one heck of a nice scene to fly in (I fly from CYYJ with FSPassengers X). Eventually I reverted back to using only REX 2.0 OD with real weather enabled and PIREP's. But AS2012 is a good product too. Some pics of REX 2.0 OD and ORBX, some AS2012 in there too.. 19. I tried again last night..neutral trim all around but 3' right rudder. Throttle to 30 inHg, hit 50ish, and slowly increased inHg to about 50 and it kept nice and straight (well, almost) until take-off. I also increased by curve for all axis to 22 with a 10 deadzone. Works great now. Thanks for the tips all. I think the main problems before was the for or aft trim and an overly twitchy pitch/roll axis.
  20. Thanks I guess.. Yes I have TrackiR. I was just asking about the possibility of it.
  21. Awhile back there was a mod to remove the joystick from in-cockpit view in the A10C using an unused button. (can't find it now, but have it on my home computer - MODMAN install) Any chance someone is going to do this for the P-51 or is it already done? Sometimes getting to the rocket panel behind the stick can be a pain, and this would be perfect..(i'm using my mouse as I'm trying to keep my X52 faithful to the original P-51 for switches etc.) Just an idea. I have no ability to the mod myself..
  22. I'm still in this mode.. I tried the 2-4' nose down trim at take-off, but I find it easier to have 4' nose up trim. I've been playing around with keeping the rear wheel locked until the tail lifts, but keep getting squirrely about mid take-off role, and most times slide from side to side. I'll try keeping the tail down until it take off itself. I've noticed that my bird ALWAYS wants to role left after take off, and I need to trim right, but once up to speed, it handles very well, as long as you keep the ball centred..
  23. I originally had P51 installed but removed as I'm waiting until it progresses a bit farther. Could this be why?
  24. So I downloaded and installed the 1.1.2.1 A10C into DCS world and it asked for my key for my A10C (I assume 1.1.1.1) when I made a fast single player mission, except the key I was putting in was apparently wrong (tried 6 times). So I just hit cancel and it loaded the flight up anyway and away I went. Is DCS World supposed to find the key automatically or do we still have to enter it?
  25. Feel the same as above..Nice kick to the junk with a wait of potentially a few months until the "final" version is released. Hopefully it's out in a few days..
