Try to close that gap between the F and A in VFA. Its a common problem with the font you used.

No, no in cockpit stuff. There are many artists that would do (have done) a much better job with it than me, so that's a no from me. Yes, I changed the TGP textures to better simulate the Sniper TGP that Canada uses. Some USN birds are definitely in the works from me, however as it's not a well known subject to me, I have begun work to hand off my template to some well known artists in the community who will deliver high detail non-Canadian Hornets.

Remove the bort/serial numbers?

{"A-10_Number", 0 ,"emtpy",true}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_F", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_T", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"A-10_Number_Wheel", 0 ,"empty",true}; -
Should be soon(ish). Currently trying to figure out the best way to upload them as they are much bigger than my other liveries in terms of data weight. In the meantime, here's Capt. "Angry" Ginger Kidd.

The master screw is one which brings me the most satisfaction LOL The original intent was just to have more legible stencils.

There are more, these are just the highlights.

Don't know about IC, can't see why they wouldn't pass though. No file modifications necessary. All that was done was to upscale the template to 200%.

**Link to my DCS User Files : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/user-is-Megalax/apply/ ** I've been plugging away at taking the Hornet's level of detail a little higher than what it is now. Currently the Hornet has 4096 textures which are split into areas, whereas other models (F-16) have these areas as individual textures each at 4096. This means the Hornet's actual max resolution is 2K. By increasing the resolution of the Hornet's textures to 8192 pixels, you achieve a true 4K skin just like the Viper. This allows finer detail to be introduced into the textures. In doing so, I've also removed the rivet like detail on the engine's nozzles to reflect the real world. Here, the rectangular shapes at the rear are supposed to be open mesh, so I was able to modify the texture to better show this, as well as the Normal maps. Some Hornets have a reinforcement plate on the tail (mostly A models) and I was able to add this to the Normals: Same with the ID lights found on RCAF, SwAF, FinAF, KuwAF Hornet's: Engine nozzles: And the whole bird:

If it its still displaying, then you have a lua entry error. Change the 2 to a 13 or ROUGHNESS_METALLIC. 2 is for specular, which the Hornet does not use, so it defaults back to the helmet roughmet in the default textures.

DCS: F/A-18C Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

Put this in after your countries entry: custom_args = { [509] = 1.0, --Helmet Change }

Can this get some lovin'? Should say YEARS, not YERS.

Sorry to necropost as this post was probably made before AUS skins came packed with the Hornet, but seeing as how there are Aussie bort numbers and their legacy Hornets were the same block as RCAF ones. I am hoping that borts for RCAF liveries do get added.

First YT upload for me, so be nice. ${1}

If you edited it on the AO channel and it is still showing up you are more than likely missing a .lua entry.
-
Sounds like you have a missing texture. The thing about DCS skins is that it's not just a matter of editing a dds file, there is lua editing to be understood and done as well.

I have fixed the Canadian P-3's. Please include these in your next update. Also, please remove the old liveries as the CP-140 (RCAF P-3) has never had a dark grey scheme, and the light grey one is also wrong. The livery labelled 'Goose' I've renamed 'Eagle' because that's what it is. Here are the files: https://mega.nz/file/GxEFkKbC#aLtQUpvApHBCQS33VCgDdghgcbPe4tiBa9B3EMwxmDE -
Try paint.net http://www.getpaint.net

Did you ever finish this?

I was more referring to the white you have over the engines and other parts. The panel finder that mu110 linked to is used as an overlay on your skin -a layer that you can use to find things that are on the 3D model and transpose them to the 2D skin. Basically you save it as a skin file, load up the viewer, look for the specific part you want to change, then overlay the image as a layer over your skin. Find pink panel 54dg on the model, find 54dg in the overlay and boom that's where you need to paint.

What country is your aircraft set to?
