  1. There is a lighting issue where a seam appears down the spine of the Hornet under certain lighting conditions.
  2. Just make a regular folder(no .zip) with the same name, IE Ka-50_general and dump your _roughmet.dds files in it. Leave that folder in Bazar/world/textures. That way it passes IC and is immune to the updater(for now). Then you can use roughmets in your custom skins through the lua.
  3. Only reused his Finnish arm patch. Credit is given in the write up.
  4. Didn't mean to sound dickish. Just meant that your question was a bit vague. Are there specific roundels and markings you're looking for? Most of the RAF roundels I've used are from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Air_Force_roundels#Roundel_history ...where you can either get them as a large jpg or a vector file (svg). I have this chart I made for RAF colours that you can colour pick from.
  5. I tried basing the weathering on some CF-18 photos myself as they seem to get the grimiest of all. I hope you enjoy them.
  6. Its the alpha channel. It has to be completely black with only the text you want showing. Thats how they get the backlighting to work.
  7. Modern or WW2 RAF? Most stuff I've used comes from Wikipedia roundels-wise. Just asking for images is kind of vague.
  8. Coming soon... Finland Air Force Swiss Air Force
  9. More RCAF Hornets in the User Files: First up is the Hornet / Fulcrum Double Feature from 1989: Second is some early marked CF-18s in 1980s/1990s markings known as the "Symmetrical Era". Includes 409, 410, 416, 421, 425, 433, 439 and 441 Squadrons. 416 has special 'Check Six' markings in Cyrillic from chasing a Russian bomber, and they sprayed the same marking in Arabic on jets that participated in Desert Storm in 1991. They all have custom pilot flight suits in either tan/orange, dark green/orange and blue. Link to my files is in the first post of this thread.
  10. I was speaking of the devs, not the users. If the devs want generics included in the game then the devs can ask for generics from the artists that win the competition. I'll use more words next time. Obviously there would be some stipulations.
  11. If they wanted generic versions of liveries, they can just ask the artists who made the non generics for them.
  12. The issue isn't that I don't know how to fix it, the issue is that I have to fix it. I should be able to use custom args in the lua file without having to provide my own texture for it.
  13. When ever you mess with the arguments to remove the JHMCS from the helmet, the visor completely disappears.
  14. From what I understand the red on red was only for the Centennial year.
  15. Read all the stuff you scrolled by before clicking the download link?
  16. It doesn't appear to be in the template. That's probably why. I will also fix it and reupload. Thanks for pointing it out.
  17. http://www.pumaszallas.hu/Private/VO101_Tom/Panel_Finder_by_Tom_2_2048x2048.jpg
  18. Thats so weird. When I first figured this out I put Tom's panel finder on it and it brought me to that area I pointed out. Now I check it again and it does exactly what you said. EDIT: You need the separate file for the Early variant. If you don't it reverts to the silver spinning hub.
  19. Did you make a separate texture for the "P47D_Fuz_Front_additional_set" line? I made 2 extra texture files, one called FF (short for forward fuse) and FF_RM and then added them to the lua. I don't get that colouring in the cowl doors at all. description.lua
  20. A few lines of code in the lua affects it, namely these: {"P47D_Fuz_Front_additional_set", DIFFUSE , "p47d_fuz_front", false}; {"P47D_Fuz_Front_additional_set", NORMAL_MAP , "p47d_fuz_front_normal", false}; {"P47D_Fuz_Front_additional_set", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC , "p47d_fuz_front_roughmet", false}; I removed the normal map entry because you don't need it. Then I created 2 textures that were exact copies of the fuz front files, but downsized to 2048 and renamed them because they only seem to get used for the prop hub. That way they don't take up too much space in the folder. If you just use the fuz_front files there are lines and stuff through it because there are other parts mapped to that area, so a different set of textures is needed anyway. You need to have separate files for the Early Variant. The spinning prop hubs are not mapped to the same spot for both.
  21. I get this in the game sometimes. Not sure what causes it.
  22. Just noticed this. That photo is OLD. 2004 thats pretty much pre-modernization. The newer cockpits have updated screens.
