  1. Is there a paint kit for the P-3? I want to fix the Canadian ones.
  2. I love these.
  3. Good first effort, but you should remove the colour you have over the internal parts on the skin.
  4. true tells DCS to look for any textures in the textures folder. False tells DCS to look for your textures in the liveries folder. So if you have a texture in the same folder as the .lua, then assigning false to a line tell it to look for the specified texture in that folder. Assigning a true will tell it to not look in that folder but instead get the default texture.
  5. 1. DEMs are easy to use. 2-5... Maps in DCS seem to be giant 3D obects. They don't work like the image file maps Il2 had.
  6. change the trues to false
  7. Yes they truly 'americanized' the flight suit. As a Canadian, the uniforms our pilots wear have slip on ranks much like the RAF. The old patches texture allowed for slip ons, but not the new one Best I've managed to do was remove the ranks from the patches image file and paint them directly on the pilot's flight suit texture.
  8. Its probably a bug, since the pilot in Model viewer does not have any texture issues. Never mind, I just realized they changed the textures. Dang.
  9. Load up the viewer, then use ARG 24 full right to put all the covers on. Try this: https://mega.nz/file/P49CiaIR#NH_zkFX_4l2YeqZJRr6kynpb3CpZcoM-t1O1z6ogjFI
  10. Try this http://www.pumaszallas.hu/Private/VO101_Tom/Panel_Finder_by_Tom_2_2048x2048.jpg
  11. You'll have to create a roughmet for your patch if it bleeds through like that. The default one is in a zip in the textures folder.
  12. Is there anyway to get the raw normal maps for the Hornet? I've tried editing the ones that are in the textures file but they suffer heavily from recompression issues. I'm trying to add some mapping around the ID light that the RCAF/SwissAF/KuwaitAF/FinlandAF use on their Hornets.
  13. I'm not sure I understand what this is...256mb dds file?
  14. Bit of a multipart question... Can you change the default liveries? If I have create a 'default livery' folder in saved games and put in the skin of my choice will it be seen as the default livery as if it were still the one in CoreMods? For example, if I create a 'default livery' folder in saved games, then insert a Canadian skin in there, will the sim now view this skin as a new default?
  15. Based on The pilot of this aircraft was the first one to get to Anatoly Kvochur when he ejected from his MiG29 at the Paris Airshow in 1989. The red star below his cockpit was added as a show of solidarity towards the Russian test pilot. ----------------------------- AETE CF-18. This scheme is normally applied to 2-seater CF-18B's. ------------------------------ ...and some fictional camo CF-18's, painted in a similar scheme to CF-5s prior to their retirement. ------------------------------ 425 Sqn "I wish I was a Nighthawk", 425 bird zapped in Cold Lake during a Maple Flag exercise. Should be up soon in the user files section.
  16. Thanks to RaTzo for the inspiration for this one. After seeing the Stennis reskin to have her look like the Bonnie, I made some CF-18 skins for her decks. Inspired by the old RCN Banshees and Sea Furies. Can be found HERE. Complete with custom RCN pilots:
  17. 9 skins of 441 Sqn 1997 Maple Flag Aggressors coming shortly.
  18. The pilots line doesn't change anything for me, and the roughmets don't seem to change anything either. It could be because I'm looking at the skins in the model viewer, but changing or adding roughmets, the skins seem to just default back to the DCS original one.
  19. That could easily be made the new background for the Hornet module.
  20. Does anyone have any idea how to change the pilot texture? I'm making RCAF CC-130 Tankers and the pilots are USAF.
  21. Nice work.
  22. I've updated the skins to v2.0. Changes were made to the weathering to make it look more random and natural, the antennas that are not present or that are usually painted grey on CF-18's were greyed out, and there were changes made to some of the stenciling. Available in my User Files section. I've opted to leave my old versions available to those who may still prefer or want them.
  23. The Balkan Rats are coming... PLEASE SEE NEWER POSTS FOR MOST RECENT SKINS. Coming soon to a user files section near you.
  24. Made a few RCAF Hornets. These are my first DCS skins. Available HERE. There are a few compromises done to them to make the aesthetics more balanced considering how the board numbers work on the Hornet model. Where there would be the normal Aircraft Number on the wings I replaced them with 'RCAF' as a stand-in, so the wings didn't look empty. Also, all tail numbers are 188700 for the same reasons stated above. PLEASE SEE NEWER POSTS FOR MOST RECENT VERSIONS OF SKINS. I also made custom shoulder patches, pilot wings, and pilots with the proper royal blue undershirt.
