  1. Of course they'll burst if you hit the brakes too early and too often. It's still a 20 something tonne jet, with or without full fuel load.
  2. The gear won't retract at 740 km/h? Shame on them!
  3. 90% max weight? IRL they call it "emergency landing". You should land with lower fuel levels..like 50% (to be on the safe side).
  4. From my own experience, 2 things can cause tires to blowup on landing: 1. Breaking hard at speeds above 200km/h 2. Not keeping a straight line ie. steering the aircraft left/right while braking Basically, you need to keep it straight and brake in small bursts untill the speed goes under 200 km/h where you should be able to use the wheel brake to its full extent ie. step on it.
  5. Apart from using the "S" key which makes it go nuts, Su-27 PFM flies quite nicely for me, takes a bit getting used to but that's it.
  6. It's nothing to do with the damage model, it's the SKILLZ. :D
  7. "If it's horrible - it's MiG-21 feature." :D
  8. I am kinda amazed how media tries to insinuate that, by them having those jets, could mean they could take off and use them in a combat. No pilot training, no ground crew, no spare parts etc.. Even IF they had real pilots and the jets weren't in such a bad condition, they would still need logistics in order to opearate them..to say the least. It's clear it's just a publicity stunt.
  9. My guess is prolly one of these two: 1) Birds 2) Flies/Bugs (close to the camera)
  10. It's definetely LESS bumpy for me during T/Os and landings..
  11. Had three landings in a row, no issues. Had less then 600 liters of fuel and no payload (pre-take off setup)..I believe I landed with 400-500 liters (first landing). Generally, if you're light (low fuel), no or light payload (say R60s) AND your vertical speed doesn't exceed 3m/s on touchdown, you should be fine. And of course, breaking should be initiated below 320km/h ground speed.
  12. Downloading 700+ MB update right now..is this the MiG-21 update ported from Open Beta?
  13. Oups... (runs away)
  14. Version 1.0.1 is now awailable for download: http://www.mrcine.org/boards/files/file/34-nob-mrcine-hrvatski-radio-chat-za-dcs-world/ Note: Samples for Mi-8 and Ka-50 modules are not recorded (these are separated from the main "common" folder). Basically, it should work fine for FC3 and MiG-21 modules. By default, it's meant to replace RUS language sound files (instructions in the Readme) but if you want, you can simply overwrite ENG folder as well. Needless to say, always make a backup of original folders if for whatever reason you wish to go back to original speech samples. Also, with every update DCS World will simply "remove" the custom files (and store them in the "Backups" folder which means you will have to manually reinsert the samples if you wish to continue using them. You will need to register on our forum before downloading the files (it's free and it's quite a straight forward process).
  15. ^^So that's what the rudder pedals are for? I knew it!!!
  16. I noticed 21 likes low approach landings..50m or so right before crossing the runway treshold..makes touchdowns a lot softer..
  17. The poll outcome says it all. Unless someone here believes those who voted YES aren't flying the sim.
  18. Well, theoretically, you could mount a pig on that pylon but... ...could you launch it?
  19. Croatian Air Force skin WIP by one of my squad mates. ;)
  20. Tried with the LST button ON..no luck..can't seem to lock target head on..Maybe there is some truth in it (in regards to what WinterH posted)?
  21. ^^Hmmm..interesting..didn't know that..thanks for the info. Will give it a try! ;)
  22. ^^What is that? Is it eatable? :D I just press ENTER i.e. lock? What's that button for?
  23. Guys, I am going completely nuts here. I tried everything, I can't lock ANY type of target wether it's C-130 or P-51D and I'm not talking 30km range but say 15km or even 10km range..the lock just breaks immediately. If the target is flying at 2000m, I set myself either slighly below that altitude (to scan nose up) or at exactly the same altitude. Nothing. What am I doing wrong? I'm seriously going crazy here.
  24. That's the thing. It was IN range. No matter what range, the lock would break instantly. The only time it works is WVR. Is 21's radar supposed to work like that?
