  1. No I haven't. The documentary I saw clearly had one of the pilots saying he saw the missile trails from high altitude. I presume you're from the ex-Yugoslavia so you should know the language they speak. So once again, either it was true or they were simply lying about it and I don't think that's the case.
  2. I was just saying, even if 120 was "perfectly" modelled in-game, the conditions are still not the same as in real world. As for the visually IDing missile, that's what serbian pilots said in the documentaries I watched. Either those missiles were fired from high altitude and they were fortunate to see them right after they were launched (seeing the initial smoke trail) or they were simply lying about it, which I seriously doubt is the case.
  3. Let's presume the stats are right. But against what opponents? Did all of the engaged/shot down pilots knew they were being launched at? What were the circumstances? Serbian MiG pilots for example, due to the malfunction of SPO (in some cases) had to visually ID the missiles before trying to evade them. Thing is, in DCS World all our equipment works flawlessly and we always know where the threat is (at least in general) and we're not really subjects to RL G-Forces real pilots are, and we can make those crazy turns just in time to spoof the missiles.
  4. Yes, but it happens like 90% of the time. Looks like all of them are experienced pilots.
  5. AIM-120 rather poor K/D ratio So many times I have launched my AIM-120s from 17 miles and under (using TWS whenever possible), kept the lock and waited for the missile to go pitbull (T) and so many times it missed and opponent managed to evade it and it was just wasted. Mind you, usually after it goes terminal/active, I have to break the lock right afterwards and turn away (as I'm being fired upon)..but still, all the missiles I launch are always supported untill they go active..and they still miss quite often. Not sure what to think of it..Perhaps, equally skilled opponents cause this so called "stalemate" situation when we launch at each other and disengage in time..or is it simply the fact that we can pull those high G turns without much of a restrictions (under right speed conditions of course) which make us outturn the missile in its early stage of pursuit?
  6. Even if F15C in DCS had a fully clickable cockpit / simulated systems, when it comes to BVR, it would still be handled by HOTAS (slewing, tracking, locking etc.). That's what HOTAS is for..to reduce the workload during the combat engagement. Most of the "clicking" would be done on start-up anyway..
  7. Best advice? Practice, practice and - practice.
  8. I know there are Android Apps for A10C and Huey MFDS, but, is there an app or a way to export say, radar display for FC3 fighters into an Android touchpad? Thanks,
  9. We in Croatia have 2 MiG-21s and we always have a 24/7 alert with 2 MiG-21s (in turns of course).
  10. ..which I decided to upload on Youtube in order to preserve it. So, here it goes:
  11. Yeah I had a similar typo way back when I registered..I ended up with "Kenan" although it was supposed to be "Kenan The Greatest"..oh well..
  12. Yes, AFM rocks! Thank you ED! BTW, ED are you ready? Because (take a deep breath): When do we get AFM for Su-27? When do we get AFM for MiG-29? When do we get AFM for Su-33? When do we get AWM (Advanced Walking Model) for MANPADS and ground troops? When do we get to walk out of the cockpit without having to eject? When do we get a bar simulator (at an airbase) with all the drinks and stuff? :D
  13. I am such a great guy.
  14. ^^Interesting points. Thanks.
  15. Why do peace time CAPs often consist of jets carrying short range heaters (I saw an example of this in the polish MiG-29 Baltic Air Policing video where they're carrying R-60s)? Assuming those pilots have GCI or Awacs data link or information feed..what happens if, theoretically, they're met with a hostile enemy planning to engage them BVR, without them being able to close in and identify? Speaking of identification, isn't the Awacs' job to do just that? I know this may be a noobish question but I was always wondering about this.
  16. You need to press and hold the "S" key while taxiing i.e. using rudders. Did you try that?
  17. ^^You have the AFM F-15C...Try landing on one wheel and you'll see what happens.. :D
  18. I didn't really see any flaring but, IMO, solid landing. A bit too fast (and a touchdown was a bit rough) but then again, I can't tell how much fuel did you have onboard.
  19. If you have money, will and time - go for it! Simple as that.
  20. Interesting..I thought SFM was hardcoded..
  21. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=aeb_1398103958
  22. From what I've seen in YT videos, it's pretty close to RL.
  23. Next ED project: DCS Nascar (Combined Arms Edition). Mad Max anyone?
  24. Unless it's a very long runway, you shouldn't be able to land with 100% internal fuel + 3 external tanks..not to mention it's unsafe (too much fuel aboard, potential for a big BOOM if something goes wrong and very stressful to the landing gears if exceeding the decent rate by even a tiny margin) and why it's never done IRL (unless in an emergency). I checked the charts and Kutasi is indeed fairly long (8200 ft i.e. 2500m). Were you able to wait for under 90kts speed in order to start braking or did you have to hit the brakes at a higher speed? :)
  25. ^^I think I had to REPAIR my Beta installation and then use the file Blaze attached. It worked for me in the end. Try to do the Repair first and then copy the file. It should do the trick. :)
