Landing model still feels unchanged - scripted
Kenan replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Well, if those old persons paid from their pension money not to see boobs on a G rated program, it's their every right to complain. -
It works for me so I guess it must be something with your controls setup?

11/1/2012 Iranian SU-25s Try to Shoot Down a Predator

Perhaps the drone operator was continously hitting PrtScrn and this is why Iranians couldn't hit it? -
Landing model still feels unchanged - scripted
Kenan replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Yes it does. Especially if I pay for an announced (and important) feature that is completely missing. I like the idea it is yet to be implemented (beta and all) and would like to ask someone from ED confirm this. -
Here comes a silly question: where's the G readout in the F15C HUD? :D

Landing model still feels unchanged - scripted

^^Yeah, well..I know..but it feels like no change at all, more like, added extra scripted skidding and that's it. I tried one wheel touchdown and it immediatelly glued itself onto runway..If it stays like this, I don't think it's worth mentioning it as a FC3 feature. I expected more from a 3rd installment of the series.. -
Landing model still feels unchanged - scripted

I must say I was looking forward to trying it out (when I read the announcement about improved landing/take offs) and was very dissapointed when I realized it's still feels the same (scripted) like in FC2. Also, the taxiing still feels like skating on ice.. Anyone else got the same feeling or is it just me? Thanks. -
I feel kinda trolled here after downloading the "FC3" titled F-15 video. It was not the actuall FC3 F-15C 6DOF cockpit, rather the old one.

Long way? Russian red star on a US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier? I'd say we're getting there sooner then anticipated..

I wish there's a possibility for me to pay access to a special forum in which I would be able to get weekly updates on FC3 developement and see in-game, work-in-progress video clips or screenshots. It would be also cool to have a supporter badge or something I could wear in my signature (this supporter badge could be worn only by folks who paid for it).

I think most of us here are aware of NDA/chain of command between testers and the ED team and most here wouldn't expect a quick video response right after the request was made. That would be, to say the least, unrealistic. However, I don't think that gives you the right to treat the community as a nuissance and shoot down folks expectations with short "No." type replies. It's offending to people who've been waiting for more then 2 months after the FC3 release was announced (mind you, release, not a "work in progress") and who are still following up on the project. If there will be no video, then at least take your time to form a respectful reply and at least pretend you care. You may not officially represent ED on these forum, but by being actively engaged in this community, you unofficially, do. If GG and the rest of you for whatever reason find it too much to interact with us due to our FC3-related questions, then follow your NDA fully and don't post here anymore. Untill that happens, NDA or not, people will ask you questions as you are the folks who have access to the product. Simply dismissing requests in the manner displayed in the second post of this thread, won't really help either you or ED or community as a whole.

^^Oh right. You're not playing it, you're just testing it. I guess that does indeed give you the right to excercise your lack of empathy for the rest of us and so quickly shoot down my plea for a simple video clip with a single "no". I guess me and the rest of the supportive community deserve that kind of reply.
-
Yeah, would like to know this as well. :)

Let's get back on topic: Is it out yet?
-
Testing involves lots of free time and playing the game and in the process, try to find bugs and offer feedback. It's clear to anyone what testing entails unless you want to make a deeper mistery out of it? So, my allegations are "baseless", I'm "misguided", I'm downright "rude" and "disrespectful" AND I "don't know what I'm talking about". Thank you for letting it slide and I once again apologize for not being so curteous and respectful as you are. I'll stop here as I don't want to question anything you say anymore. I guess you want to be the one who is always right and tell other folks how wrong they are. Feel free to do so.
-
You just confirmed what I suspected. You play FC3 every day and then tell the rest of us who are waiting for it, to be patient, what we should expect or not if we're right or wrong. I just read your posts (and those of other beta testers) and you try so hard to "correct" other folks on their wishes, frustrations etc. I think, with all due respect, it's a hypocricy at its finest. It's also interesting whenever anyone of us starts complaining, you and the beta testers are quick to 'intervene' and advocate ED and the current situation. So, excuse me for not taking what you have to say in regards to FC3, seriously anymore.
-
Why is it so hard for you to answer that? I was the first one asking you a simple question.
-
Viper, are you by any chance beta testing the FC3?
-
As a customer I really don't care for the excuses.
-
In all seriousness, they'd better include at least one more 6DOF cockpit in the release..if not, the whole wait, I don't think it's really -that much- worth it. It's still FC, still no clickable cockpits..so I don't really know what else would justify the delay.
-
^^Exactly. Passengers WANT to fly under such conditions. They have to, have not much of a choice there. Many of those folks for whatever reason, can't afford to sit through a whole winter just because the runway is all muddy and not properly prepared for take offs. Is it crazy? Yes, it is. Is it dangerous? Very much. But the whole region is like that most of the time, the weather there is crappy by the default. People need to travel and I guess they're all aware of risks.
