DCS World "optimization" is a disaster. After days and days of trying to figure out how to stop the ever declining performance, I just stopped bothering..It looks exactly the same as DCS Warthog, yet it runs like crap. In my humble opinion.

One set for 35 dollars for me. (plain covers, no callsign). I live in Croatia.

^^You forgot to mention F-35 isn't designed to take hits. A10 -is-.

I would have said great job if it wasn't for the fact that for some folks every new patch/version brings lower and lower framerates..

Is there any way of multiple bomb drops while in CCRP mode, without computer stopping the release once the release point has been passed? I tried it in CCIP mode and it seemed to have worked, I did set the release quantity in the Profile but I still had to hold the pickle button in order for all the bombs to drop. I was kinda expecting pressing the button once and all the bombs just release simultanously? Or is it not possible over safety issues? Thanks.

Sorry but I strongly disagree. With every new patch and every new version getting performance drops CANNOT be normal or justified. It's the same terrain and the same graphics. Why would I cash out money for a new PC which might, the way things are going with the "updates", turn too slow to run the same sim in a year? Woud we get the same "You need to update your CPU/GPU" replies in a year - after having the same issues again? This is a serious issue and it shouldn't be dismissed just like that. None of us here are cash cows and can't just buy and buy new hardware so often just because the software is not as optimised as it should be.

^^My trackir goes directly into the PC box so I don't think that is causing the issue..though I might try disable it completely and see if there's any changes in fps.

I'm starting to think maybe something else is affecting the framerate? Sounds perhaps? Is it possible to "disable" sea ie. replace the animation with an inert blue surface? I'm starting to think out loudly..running out of ideas here..

I have the exact same issues as OP.. DCS World runs slower then DCS: Warthog..

It's just NOT normal to have a drastic FPS drop on a FLAT terrain around you (when looking left/right). It's just not. I don't care if it's "updated" engine, it sucks. It happens on either HIGH or LOW scenes, HIGH visibility or LOW visibility...Antialiasing or NO Antialiasing..high resolutions or low resolutions..it's an inherited problem and it's very, very anoying.

Well, that's the frustrating part. I don't see any major (or even noticable) visual differences, yet, with every patch, in my case, sims runs slower and slower..

It's an old rig, but it had great framerates in Hog 1.1.0.9. and with every patch since that (including 1.2.0) the frames are going downhill: Athlon II X2 250 2x 3.01 Ghz 4 gigs of ram Ati Radeon 4770 512mb

In my case it has nothing to do with either scenes or even viewing distance. I set the scenes and view distance to LOW and when I did a low flyby over a flat grassy terrain (which would have been populated with buildings) the framerate would instantly drop the moment I start looking left/right (left wing, right wing). I really have no idea what's causing this FPS drop if it's not the terrain itself? What is being rendered there that I'm missing? Low scenes, no buildings, low viewing distance? Is it perhaps cockpit-related?

I tried EVERYTHING, setting scenes to low, textures to low, lower resolution..what not. However, when I turn my head around the cockpit (left/right view), framerate drops from 35-40 to 15fps (looking at cities, towns etc.). This is very frustrating..does anyone have any idea what is causing the issue and how can it be fixed (if)? I never had these issues in 1.1.0.9. but with every new patch (and now with 1.2.0) this is becoming an ongoing problem.

Hmm..I also have a steering wheel attached (because of the rudder pedals). Might give this a try.
