What kind of cockpit are you working on? Would you share a screenie or two?

Seems I "fixed" the problem. There were too many "hold" type of key presses assigned. Weird. Once I set those to "pulse", profile was working fine.

Could someone explain how does this thing work? Like, short example or something?

It just stops responding. This happens with a specific profile. I checked the keystrokes and everything seems fine. Any idea on what is causing the freeze ie. stop responding and how to fix it? Would hate to have to start making a new profile from the scratch. Thanks.

I'm perfectly fine with not having gazillion of switches to mess with on cold startup. I'm also perfectly fine with not 100% modelling of radar or weapons/missile systems. That's fine. I really enjoy this sim. What I'm not fine with and what is a real, IMO, immersion killer, are the landings which are too forgiving ie. scripted. Once you touch the runway with one or two wheels, banked to the side or straight..it ends always the same: you get "glued" to the runway and that's it. I know it would mean possibly introducing AFM for all aircrafts but..at least tweaking it a bit would make a difference. If this issue was to be addressed in FC3, I would buy it in a heartbeat as I enjoy doing practice landings a lot. Thanks.

Nevermind. Found the solution (pretty bizzare if you ask me). Tried everything, reinstall, re-plug, followed all sorts of procedures..and at the end, all I had to do is to rearrange the USBs in the back of my box. Warthog was like plugged in into those same USB ports for months now..yet, today it decided it doesn't like them anymore so I had to plug it in into different USB ports. Go figure!

I have the same issue. Upon trying to update the firmware, in the last step I get this for both throttle and stick: I tried everything..but couldn't get windows to recognize it. They are both present as HID Compliant Game Controller in Hardware properties and when I plug them for the first time, the Windows New Hardware detect shows up and installs the neccessary drivers. It fails on the final checkup step for the firmware upgrade with the above message. Didn't install Target as it seems pretty pointless as my Warthog is not recognized in the USB Game Controllers..

I still have the same problem. Went thru whole thread, tried almost everything..the stutters suddenly appear during flight. FPS is great..but stutters..whatever I do...they just keep happening. Very frustrating. This happens on clean maps, only me flying around.

I honestly think (since ED is not a "huge" company with gazillion of employees) that they're working on testing/finalizing P51 module and that they didn't even started with the FC3, DCS Fighter projects. Not even announcing what the next DCS fighter module is, leads me to such a conclusion. Would love to be proven wrong though.

Nice, "clean" design on the website. I was about to suggest you disable registration requirement and allow guest to at least view the forums but I see you have a reason for that (security issues). I hope you sort it out as the way it is right now, it's pretty much of a turn off to see the "You must register" message before being able to check out the content. Good luck with the site! :)

Soooo...does completely disabling shadows improve framerate? Anyone tried this?

I may get a free extra monitor. How can I make use of it for my simming experience (DCS Warthog)? Any pre-made configs, how easy it is to setup? Thanks.

I would welcome whatever change they apply to the SFM. It doesn't have to be on paar with DCS..but rather try tweak it a little so it feels more real..so when I buy FC3 I can honestly say XXX aircraft(s) does feel better, behaves more realisticaly. It's NOT a FC2 rehash with some make up on it. Also, the default HUD in F-15C cockpit is dreadful..I really hope they do something about it. Once I found a mod for it, I started flying the Eagle and got interested in it..but before that..with that ugly HUD which was like 2D bad child drawings..I always felt turned off to even give it a spin..

^^I actually heard something interesting..that DCS is waiting in terms of deciding what flyable fighter to simulate because of BMS Falcon (F-16) and upcoming Seven-g title (F-18 . False rumour or not..I'd rather see F-15C modelled..or if not F15 then F-18 as it looks like SevenG won't be having MP-compatible sim at least right after the release. As for FC3...not putting AFM in all flyables would be dissapointing..especially taxing on the runway feels like ice skating..landing the planes (especially after doing so in A10C or Falcon BMS) feels like landing on a super glue.. I'm not saying they should do the whole rewamp..but rather, if it's going to be FC3, a new product people are expected to buy, make it worthwile.

Need I say ED never fixed the "invisible object" on Minerayne Vody runway? I broke my front wheel on several occasions today, on that same runway, while taking off and landing.
