  1. Hmm, won't start, due to a missing "rendererUtils.dll" file, which doesn't exist anywhere on my computer.
  2. Exactly the problem I’m having.
  3. So, since the included ModelViewer2 is a bust for me right now I thought I'd try the edModelViewer instead. What folder do you guys put the stand-alone model viewer into these days? I don't do the "Saved Games" folder trick, as it's never worked for me.
  4. A big +1 from me!
  5. That sounds like the aircraft you want to fly hasn’t been assigned to you (Player) in the mission builder?
  6. Is anybody else having issues with the new ModelViewer2 in the bin folder of the open beta game directory? I can load models but when I open the Liveries Tool I don't see any livery folders, mounting textures by navigating to the folder I am interested in doesn't change anything...
  7. Fictional USN XFJ-2B skin updated, including new pilot (aviator?) textures with USN gold H-4 helmet. See original post for DL link.
  8. Ach, die Wartungsschablonen! :helpsmilie:
  9. Also long overdue - FAC Sabre Mk.6 Colombia purchased six Canadair Sabre Mk.6 aircraft in 1956, serials allocated in the 2000 series (Close Air Support role), were 2021-2026 inclusive. Skin includes FAC pilot with patches. Available now, DL link on first post. Small correction made, hadn't noticed I'd spelled Colombia WRONG...
  10. Golden Hawks Redux So, remember SPEC files? Still working on the gold metal flake look, but the helmet is ready... first shot is from 4 years ago, SPEC files: Next one is ROUGHMET files: Night and day! Stay Tuned.
  11. Doing a Canadair Mk.2, in the delivery markings scheme for Greece, circa 1955. What were the official colours for the 1950s-ers HAF markings? My research seems to have me believe that the markings were brighter in colour in the early jet age, and got progressively darker in the last 40 years. Should I assume the blue was the same bright blue from the national flag? Period photo from Wikipedia: And from here: https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/registration/19349
  12. Redoing my old Sabre skins right now, my SE Asia livery should be available soon. Could be a good stand in for the F-100. Ignore the SVN markings and yellow fuselage stripe, a W.I.P. for a Skoshi Tiger scheme I’m doing by request. Fuselage stripe is a placeholder for the yellow and black checkers seen on the F-5A.
  13. JRV Metal
  14. :wallbash: Ok, try again. Sorry...
  15. JRV Mk.4 By request from dali, Canadair Mk.4 Sabre of the JRV... W.I.P:
  16. Thanks for the heads up, Shrimp. Both files have been corrected. :)
  17. If you want to change the colour of multiple shapes on one layer, you can lock the alpha channel of the layer and use bucket fill to change everything at once. To lock the alpha channel in GIMP, select the layer in question and then click on the checkerboard square next to the paintbrush at the top of the layers dialog. Now you can select the bucket fill tool and fill all shapes on the layer by clicking anywhere within the layer. If you’re trying to change the colour of camp paint with soft edges, make sure the bucket tool is set to fill transparent edges, with threshold set to max. Note that you will have to unlock the alpha channel again if you want to edit the layer in any way.
  18. Now you’re talking!!!
  19. I get ‘em too with GIMP, but not to that extent. Mostly when working with brighter colours. A trick I use is if the black is supposed to be glossy, I don’t bother putting the marking in the roughmet. Black will look just fine on the skin even without the roughmet version. A matte marking on a shiny surface is a different animal. Now you’ve just reminded me that my Mustang skins are (still) long overdue for an upgrade.
  20. Yes, nice work!
  21. Glad you like them! :)
  22. Yes, but CHSubZero did a bunch so I think he’d have first right of refusal as a skin artist. And that goes for Pakistan too, even though there is a very special Sabre in a Winnipeg, Manitoba museum, in Pakistani markings, the very last Canadair Sabre that rolled off the assembly line in Montreal, build number 1815... 8) Donated to Canada by Pakistan. <SALUTE!>
  23. Couldn’t agree more!
  24. *NEW* 441 Mk.5 23339 Thought I'd expand the Marville stables a bit... A sister ship for 439's 23182 skin, Sabre Mk.5 23339 of No. 441 "Silver Fox" Squadron, Marville, France, circa 1955. This is how Canada's Sabres looked in Europe just before the switch to camo paint. Natural metal finish, with coloured Fighter Wing ID stripes on nose and tail (1 Wing = Red), and squadron art badge behind gun blast panels on both sides of nose.
