  1. New skin updates as of Feb 03/2020. Check first post for DL links!
  2. Yes, I can get to that eventually. I think another user had made some a while back but the change to PBR has made a lot of older skins obsolete.
  3. Don’t know where that spot is, but I recognize the logo...and serial number. Looking forward to seeing the finished skin! :)
  4. Discovered an error affecting drop tank textures on five RCAF skins, see first post for links to corrected skins. Thanks!
  5. New skin updates as of Feb. 02/2020. Please see first post for DL links.
  6. Thanks guys! Strut, the CAC Sabre needs some love! :)
  7. Check your PMs ;)
  8. *NEW* Bunch of updates uploaded today, download links at bottom of first post. A new one, Sabre Mk.5 23220 of No. 439 "Sabre-Toothed Tiger" Squadron, 1 (Fighter) Wing, Marville, France, circa 1955. NATO camo finish with early style Tiger squadron art on tail. RCAF pilot has 439 Squadron shoulder patches and helmet art. 439 squadron had yellow helmets with red stripes running fore and aft, the number of stripes indicating pilot leadership responsibility in squadron - single stripe = pilot, two stripes = Flight Commander, three stripes = Squadron Leader. Download link on first post. And...... Canadair Sabre Mk.6 23220 of No. 422 "Tomahawk" Squadron, No. 4 (Fighter) Wing, RCAF Station Baden-Söllingen, West Germany, circa 1955. The Mk.6 version of the Sabre introduced the Canadian-built, two stage Orenda 14 engine, rated to 7,275 lbs of thrust. The wing leading edge slats were eventually re-introduced while retaining portions of the 6-3 wing configuration. The Mk.6 therefore acquired a superb combination of engine and aerodynamics and was widely regarded as the best "dog-fighter" of its era. Download link on first post. And.... another new one, Canadair Sabre Mk.5 23132 of No. 427 "Lion" Squadron, 3 (Fighter) Wing, RCAF Station Zweibrücken, West Germany, circa 1954. Download link on first post.
  9. Small update as of Jan. 31st, fixed an issue that was loading incorrect texture on cockpit mirror for both black and grey texture packs. Please download again if you've already installed the textures.
  10. Have finally gotten around to making texture packs for both my Matte Black/Early F-86 cockpit textures, as well as my RCAF/Canadair Sabre cockpit textures. Installing these textures into your Mods/aircraft/F-86/Liveries/Cockpit_F-86F Sabre directory tree will make it easy to select different custom cockpit textures in the DCS Options menu for any Sabre livery you have. This will also help keep my Sabre liveries smaller in size (about 50%!!!), since I will no longer have to include specific cockpit textures with each livery. Black Cockpit as intended for early F-86 models, as well as Canadair Mk.s 1-4: RCAF Grey cockpit, as used by Canadair Sabre Mk.s 5 and 6: Tweaks include no dive lines on canopy or Artificial Horizon, toned down canopy reflections. Get the Early/Black cockpit textures here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307961/ Get the RCAF Grey textures here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307962/ UPDATE Feb. 17/2020: Fixed an error in RCAF Grey textures where Max airspeed needle (red and white barber pole) was illuminating entire needle at night instead of just the white portions.
  11. Yeah, I’m updating all my F-86 skins to take advantage of the new Roughmet/PBR effects. This one should be available soon.
  12. Hi reese146, I'm presently re-doing all my old Sabre skins to DCS 2.5 standard, the one you're working with is now done. You can get the updated version here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1412253/ Let me know if you have any problems, and you can watch for new skins in my Sabre 2.5 thread here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=254051 Hope this helps.
  13. Thanks dali, lines were all done in Gimp. Currently updating all my F-86 skins to DCS 2.5 standard, then I’ll be finishing this one off.
  14. *NEW* New one, 23314 of the STU, circa 1964. Recently flew in Golden Hawks colours with Vintage Wings aviation museum. Uploaded to DCS for approval, please watch first post for DL link when available.
  15. Maybe it's a shortcoming in the model/mapping.
  16. What are you using for that BORT location? An empty decal file? If so, is your description.lua correct in telling the game to use the empty file?
  17. Please check the original post for download links, I will update as skins become available.
  18. You’re going to probably hate this... but the hinge is mapped from the wheel well texture area. You may want to experiment with a neutral color.
  19. Beautiful work Strut! :)
  20. Well, let's not forget I was the one who decided to do waaaayyyyy more skins than I originally intended knowing full well the lighting/PBR stuff in DCS 1.5/2.0/etc wasn't up to scratch yet ;) Another skin, again showing lighting at different angles in model viewer:
  21. Finally (I know, I know) getting them updated to new 2.5 (RoughMet/PBR) standard. Corrected some errors I found in my templates. Some new stuff to be released as well. Also, a reminder: while not required, my custom F-86 cockpit textures can enhance these skins. 22. I made that one a LONG time ago, by private request. I plan on redoing it for DCS 2.5, it's on the list :)
  23. Lovely. Roughmet stuff sure is superior to the old spec files, isn’t it? :)
