  1. I haven't heard plans of it... FC2 is the latest and greatest for LOMAC series. For the full 3D cockpit (and clickable), you need to move to DCS, black shark and future A-10.

Hi, For FC2 I've set my bottom monitor to show the cockpit instruments (i.e. ViewDy=-0.8) It works fine without trackir, however when I move my head to look around the cockpit, it also moves my bottom instrument view. How can I turn off head tracking just for the bottom view or set it to a fixed view? I only want head tracking on the top view.   4. Just do regular checks of those who are up the top of the stats, if they are not it doesn't really matter I guess
  5. Yeah it's automatic. Just go there after your game and get them before they get cleared out
  6. I will be back in black shark soon. It's been the only sim to give me withdaws when I'm not playing it. I would surf the forum at work and read the manual in my lunch break. Jets or helos it doesn't have to be like that. I just love ground attack whether su-25 or ka-50. Blackshark WILL have a place in multiplayer combined servers as the ability to hover and destroy a large series of targets in a few minutes exceeds fixed wing jets as they have to make many passes. Also mission designers should place farps ahead of the airbase and the helo can hug the ground to avoid detection. Good infantry placement will also give the ka-50 a role as infantry is hard to spot or hit with a fast jet. Until the patch is out though I don't see much excitement because the severs are empty. Even having playe controlled jets as team mates will add much fun to black shark when it does come out. I still can't beat the feeling of flying something that I once thought was too hard for me. Now it just feels "right" when I'm flying.
  7. I did the before and after comparisons using blackshark. As long as fc2 uses the same default terrain as black shark then I did notice a difference especially for the winter snow missions. Is ruggbutt on the forum? I think he packaged it. Mods never seem to have much of a readme.

  9. Yeah I've been an ARMA nut ever since OFP. Usually people are ok with editing missions as long as you ask them first. Thanks I'll download this one and make a mini version. There are ALOT of air units for my puny 3ghz pentium4 server to handle :)

  11. LoReload terrain mod gives you a more detailed terrain. This is the "summer" terrain. I've now updated the links to include the other mod that covers the other 3 seasons. With the terrain mods- be careful with your graphics.cfg file. Back it up before and check it afterwards. If they are modman packs it should have added 8 terrain files to the list near the top, plus another one for the airbase textures if you install that too.
  12. I really like the missions. Different aircraft on each side, is a WELCOME change from the standard maps that are A10 & F15 vs A10 & F15... I like in your mission one side is Su-27 & Su-25, and the other side is A-10 & F-15. The other good thing is the points system, better than just 2 points here and there to build up to victory, there are actual good objectives with the top point earners being behind enemy lines under the fighter's noses. I have had some performance issues though, not sure if it's related to the number of AI units yet though still doing some testing. Compared to other missions, have you noticed yours being more intensive? Would you mind if I edit them to make less units per side? Cheers
  13. Could be, it is a custom mission. That mission involves all slots playing as AI until players connect, it's a nice idea if the server can pull it off. One thing I found today it was running much smoother, until I opened touchbuddy! Then all hell broke loose. I change the server back to EnableLuaExport=false. I'll try again. If you get on the server on it, please say something into chat regarding performance and I'll see it in the log. Cheers

  19. Yep this is a local connection I'm testing from. However I've added it to my routers port forwarding now too for others. One thing I have done is set maxfps = 1 as I don't need to see the screen, could that have caused issues? I also set all the graphics settings to the lowest the GUI allows.
  20. Hi, I've setup FC2 on a separate system, it's a 3Ghz CPU and 2GB RAM. Crappy graphics card though. Does that graphics card affect server performance? The problem is, even local LAN clients connected to it, get stuttering, like the other aircraft jitter around. Since the CPU and RAM are ok and DCS/FC2 isn't multi cpu capable, and LAN is local, what could be the problem? Graphics card??

  23. Hi All, Has anyone managed to get Ricardo's HD cockpit working in FC2? I know some terrain mods are working fine but not sure about the cockpits with the new nav panel and 6dof changes... Cheers Taipan
  24. Hi All, I've got SIMPED rudder pedals, they don't have any mapping software, just 3 axis. Is there any way to map the FC2 wheel brake button to an axis? Even any external software anyone has had results with? At the moment FC2 is the only sim I have to map wheel brakes to a button.. Cheers Taipan
  25. Also if you try to leave before they have powered up correctly. Wait until the RPM ticks past the 4 marker and backs up a bit, then you can raise throttle.
