  2. It's good for posture :megalol:, so I don't sit here like a hunchback I have to sit back in my chair :) And it's like a real cockpit, the top of the screen is view of what's above, and the bottom is below your head.
  3. Try the attached modman package, note that if you can't see something still - you will have to edit these resource files for the co-ordinates of the buttons. See if it works for your settings, may need some tweaking but if you can click the buttons you can get in. Buttons moved around so you can get to them. While I use the second screen for shkval + ABRIS in black shark because there's a real second output for that, in FC2 I probably won't. With the 2560x1600 on my main monitor, now all those extra pixels of the second one are actually slowing my frame rate down from 60 to 30. I guess I'm reaching my nvidia memory now. However if you have 1920x1080 or less on your main, yes this works excellent! I hope ED puts in a patch to allow us to output FC2 MFD/Shkval onto second viewport just like DCS does. They use the same engine now so it couldn't be too hard. Please :D My latest test settings are below. I didn't do the overlap this time because of frame rate issues with me hitting my cards memory size. Center is the bottom. Top is the top.   5. Can do when I get back home. I have a 30 inch screen on top now :) with the 24 inch below. Physical right-left is no good with 2 monitors, since the hud would be split down the middle where the screens join. You would need 3 monitors for that - one view forward, one view left, and one view right. For 2 monitors, I use one view center/top, and one view bottom. The other thing is that in windows you should set them up left-right, so when your mouse moves to the right of your top monitor it then starts on the left of your bottom monitor. I have done testing and confirmed get much better frame rates this way. Rendering so many vertical pixels is harder than rendering more horizontal. Will post more photos in a few days.
  6. Hi Brainstormer, I haven't seen your setup but maybe swap the center and bottom around, because it's the second one that's layered on top I believe.
  7. Hi Mustang, Thanks for that, I'll use it via modman too. It's easier since you packaged the cdds file already! If you want to see how to make modman, then open modman and click mods maker, then put settings like this screenshot. Then click save as rar file. You don't have to worry about graphics.cfg, it knows to insert that line for you :thumbup: Sorry was going to upload it, but my ED forums attachment limit is filling up....
  8. Good fun attacking in a group. Mission could not complete though, as I think being designed for multiplayer, it's assuming all those players will be there to destroy the enemy. Maybe we have to destroy all enemies? Not possible with only a few weapons...
  9. I like the task, instead of being asked to destroy the whole world, you have a specific job and do it and get out. Also the flightplan distance is good, gives me a reason to use drop tanks. Also I like the skin - I always choose this one. I hope some more get published soon I'm hopeless with graphics.\ The other flights are good too, although I found I arrived before the other strikes happened, maybe I fly too quick. Two suggestions: 1. Why doesn't the wingman have drop tanks? We assume he will die there :megalol: 2. CCRP Cluster bombs from 6000m is not working for me, the dispersion is too great, I destroyed one truck and some buildings and basically covered the whole port area. I think it would be better with FAB-500's, they are less affected by wind and only one can kill 4 trucks if the others miss. Cluster bomblets are too small killzone each. With the huge amount of SAMs and AAA, lower altitude cluster bombing is suicide for me! The only other way to get less dispersion is to dive bomb instead of CCRP. Love CCRP bombing though :pilotfly: I was watching in F6 view instead of flying.

    I tried them, and so have others. The general consensus is that now DCS/FC2 terrain is good enough. These mods can improve some terrain in some areas, and in winter, but mainly at low altitude, like you might find it better for DCS. But at high altitude, some reported a patchwork effect, which is definitely not good for fast jets. I haven't tested since DCS 1.0 though. I suggest try them, take before and after screenshots in each season, and from high altitude, and see how you go..

  14. Not many missions like that, it's realistic to be less threats but mission makers love SAMs :) You can edit the su-25 campaign called revanche and use the T instead. Still threats but it's easier as it assumes manouverability is the advantage instead of standoff range.

  17. Hi, I remember seeing a discussion for the white lines that come up in cockpit view, a result of mods maybe. But I tried searching and can't find the damn thing.   21. Silly question, but am I able to get LOMAC/FC1 skins to work with FC2? Or do they need to be reworked? I can find my way around modman packages, but I have no graphics skills whatsoever :)
  22. I agree with Zakobi, never go below 3km altitude. The su-25t is a standoff weapons platform, albeit with a laser required for most guidance. IRCM always on, and I don't bother to take ECM I take air to air weapons just in case and they are light and low drag. I've completed 6 missions in GOW now, and had to trial and error the first one until I realised what a dangerous environment Georgia really is in this war. My formula is like this: -Use mission planner to customise loadout to standoff weapons only, my favourite is R60 + LLTV pod for target spotting + vikhrs + kh-25ml for 2 long range shots, inside pylons are empty for weight saving. -Mission planner set your wingman to carry Fantasmagoria + kh-25mpu + kh-25ml and no vikhrs. He can hit long range SAMs for you and 25-ml is a long range weapon to minimise his chance of killing himself! -Ingress at 6000m from the OCEAN side, there are no hidden defences in the ocean :) -Wingman will begin spotting targets -Attack from 1km beyond maximum altitude using LALT+w to authorise launch (altitude makes this additional range ok) -Use half flaps and brakes to keep you from getting too low while you wait -After hit with ONE weapon only, brakes off, turn off back over the ocean and after a few km turn back and repeat. NEVER try to release 2 weapons, with the laser requirement to hold you are risking your life. It works well, just don't get impatient and get too close. You should never get hit by AAA, stingers, strelas with this tactic. Anything long range will come up on your radar warning and you can keep outside it's range and ask your wingman to attack air defences he will get it first with his SEAD weaponry, give him 58s if you like and that's nice long range if there are known long long range threats. The only thing I haven't said yet, is that this formula gets boring and takes a LONG time to complete a mission, especially if you are used to the ka-50 unleashing all your weaponry and finishing a mission in under an hour. So, in that case I go back to the su-25, and do low-sam threat missions with bombing runs and rocket runs, alot of fun ;)
